The guys worked hard - the day before to pack up our small apartment and I was advised by the foreman to tip in cash at the end of that day. We tipped well. The next morning they reappeared to move us. Again I was impressed at how hard they worked. They even scored a great parking space(on my behest) in front of the building. They reassembled our bed
and table and generally put the boxes where they belonged.
The first negative note was when I was told that it would cost an extra $150 for them to lay down some flooring cover for the building front hallway. (Took them all of 10 minutes to put down this removable covering)

Then after they left, I discovered that a large over hanging floor lamp
lying on its side on the floor was unusable. The pedestal base - heavily weighted to keep it steady was in pieces - and the long arched metal pole was bent down from the base - It could no longer stand up (A $350 lamp)
Then as we unpacked further we saw how clumsily dishes were packed - stacked eight deep with no dividers and just wrapped i heavy paper and placed in boxes. The problem is you discover these things afterwards - It always takes a day or two to unpack and by then you've tipped them and the payment has been made. What got to me was when I unpacked a record
player on the bottom of a box - no covering of any kind - simply surrounded by books - The record player did not function. The belt drive was damaged - admitedly an inexpensive item ($129)
I have already ordered a new one.
We don't anticipate any reimbursement - "Take a picture and send it to us"

I regret so readily tipping these guys whenI should have waited until I could see they job they actually did - The packing was poorly done - hasty
and sloppy We will never recommend this company.

The men who laid our carpeting would not move a marble credenza in our living room. Shleppers came within an hour and moved the credenza and came back two hours later to put it back. What more could you ask?

I hired Shleppers because they had a decent price (wasn't the lowest quote) and the salesperson was very nice. They were flexible with my dates and revised my binding quote a few times due to my dates and going from an elevator building to a walk-up.
On the day of the move, they arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected but it worked out fine. They even assisted me by taking some garbage furniture pieces to the garbage at my old building. They worked quickly and efficiently with a foreman and 3 others. They were in such a rush to get out of the old apartment, that they left me still sweeping and didn't do a full sweep of the apartment before leaving, so I was left with carrying out more items than I could do in one trip. It would have been nice for the foreman to do a final walk through with me to make sure everything was out of closets, etc.
At the new apartment, they arrived a few minutes before me but they stopped to get lunch which helped me get settled. They were very fast unloading the truck and hauling all of my items up 3 flights of stairs. We decided where my bed was going to be placed and they put it together. The only issue I have, is that they didn't put it together completely correctly so the headboard doesn't sit on the risers. I wish they would have asked me to look at it before placing the box spring and mattress, so I could have it leveled correctly. Besides that, they would only take back the boxes which they used to pack (and I unpacked) so I was left with empty boxes to try to dispose of. Besides those small items, they did a great job moving me and I would suggest them to anyone who asks.

Our crew was amazing. They were professional, helpful and unfailingly polite. They went out of their way to please. We would recommend Shleppers to everyone.

We have moved times and these are the most professional, courteous, hard-working movers we have ever used. They anticipated ever need we knew we'd have and those we didn't. Their price was fair and highly competitive. No hidden agendas. Recommend them without hesitation!

The whole team was incredibly friendly. They finished the move in 4 hours. They were right on time. My card was charged incorrectly but they credited me as soon as the weekend was over. Everything was effortless. I never would have been able to do the move on my own. I can't thank them enough.

Shannan was quick to answer the phone and politely helped me through the process even though I had to postpone twice and make several changes.

Daquan and his team were super friendly and moved quickly and efficiently to make my move a cinch.

Schleppers Moving Storage came highly recommended and I now know why firsthand. From the time of the initial phone call, to the pre-move estimate visit, to the actual day of the move, it was so easy and smooth. The men that came were professional and hard working. They had to contend with three flights of stairs. I would recommend them to anyone moving.

This is the third time my family and I have used SHLEPPERS. Without a doubt, they are amazing. They are efficient and on top of everything. From Steven Zimmer who comes out to give an estimate, to the movers who worked with care, to the people on the phone who handle the payment, not a complaint to be found. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Very poor service because movers worked very carelessly. My furniture and walls sustained a lot of damage.

The movers were great...professional, quick and careful.

I do wish there would have been more transparency on the final cost as there didn't seem to be any check between the estimate and actual move.

Our prior movers said to fill the bureaus because moving it and unpacking would be easier.
Shleppers wanted them empty and did so while we were packing other items.

Every box they packed was labeled 'Basement'. I have to go through each one to determine the contents.

On the other hand. They showed up on time, worked hard and no furniture was damaged. Someone didn't understand that a cable that was broken with the end snapped retails for $150 - well, you'd have to be an audiophile to be aware of that.

They were the most expensive of the 3 movers we interviewed - substantially so. Which only means their rep was much better than the rest.

For the price, I would not use them again.
