Genuine vacuum review 2.6 years of use

We bought our vacuum January 2024 after seeing it was advertised as being specifically good for pet hair. It was one of the corded lift-away ones.
We have a rottweiler who heavily moults twice a year, so needed a vacuum specifically targeted for pet hair - after seeing some of the reviews and the company advertisement, we thought it might be able to do the job.
After under a year, the suction started to fail. I'd emptied it, cleaned the filter etc but it didnt come back to what it once was. Accepting this, we continued using it as normal and hoped it wouldnt get worse.
A few months later, the button for the carpet/hard floor mode broke, and the vacuum was permanently stuck on carpet mode. Annoying, but it wasn't an emergency.
The next thing was that the dust bin of the vacuum has two sections to it. One is like a filter section and it has an opening into the main dust bin section. The suction had affected it, making it so that the dirt no longer sucked into the main section. This made it so when we vacuumed half of our 2 bed flat, the vacuum would fill up very quickly and block, making you have to empty it constantly. Couldn't imagine this in a larger property.
The newest thing is that the power has now started to die. Was vacuuming today and the lights were powering down and it kept sounding like it was powering off without doing it. When I unplugged it, I found that the plug was very hot, so now im worried about a fire hazard.
Overall, dont trust that its for 'pets' if you have a large dog that moults heavily. It can't handle it, and its life will be very, very short.
Also it has nowhere for your tools, so you loose them constantly.
We went to miele - would recommend this brand over shark anytime.

Love this make first item bought a…

Love this make first item bought a hoover second hand then i bought a carpet cleaner problems with seller but only the top tanking leaking . Easy fix pumping tape and drill saw at the top covered with plastic cut and a big cut of plastic . Sorted .

Rang Shark Ninja as I had a problem…

Rang Shark Ninja as I had a problem with my vacuum cleaner which I have had for a number of years and always found it excellent. The customer service agent I spoke to went above and beyond to solve my problem. As a pensioner it is important to me that any product I purchase works well and will last. I cannot praise Shark Ninja enough not just for their excellent products but also for having the best customer service department I have ever encountered.

One of the worst robot cleaners ive…

One of the worst robot cleaners ive ever owned, I brought the shark never touch robot for £450! It is the most dumbest robot ever, misses loads, doesnt do edge cleaning, features missing in the app, etc also customer service didnt really help. All while my other robot which is old and was cheaper when I got new, does a lot more than this, it will edge clean, not miss anything ( as you can set up in app to go twice in one round, which i love). I have many of their cleaners and this really let's the side down massively, unfortunately I cant return this, as they say its not faulty. So a £450 machine incapable of doing what its meant to do...clean!

First got in touch on April 6th…

First got in touch on April 6th regarding an issue with my Cryoglow mask, you can see my previous review here which is still not resolved. They FINALLY dispatched a replacement last week for it to be left at my doorstep without me signing for it. The box was all cut through with a knife and clearly tampered with, but when I told them about it, Sherri had the audacity to tell me that the item ‘survived the trip’ and told me to ‘take a closer look and start using it’. They would not give it to a paying customer in this state, so how is it allowed? I have no idea who was at the item but Sherri thinks it’s ok to put it close to my face anyway. Shark clearly do not care about a customers safety?

Edited to reply, I have been writing to you via Facebook the past 2 months and they are NOT helping as no one cares. AVOID

The worst company I have ever had the…

The worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

I bought my wife some hair styling set, unfortunately its faulty, these things happen.

But the customer service since has been absolutely abysmal im well within my window but I keep emailing and messaging them and they fob me off.

The service is horrendous. Avoid like the plague.

Wow What can I say?!
In my Adult life I have NEVER had such support and FANTASTIC customer service!!
Olga Alexandra SharkNinja Consumer Experience Advocate is truly the best customer service advisor I’ve ever dealt with.
Her help and professionalism, prompt responses were honestly outstanding.

My Vacuum is now working as it should… following a quick delivery of a replacement part… the warranty extension done
And my other Ninja products registered.

The level of customer service I…

The level of customer service I recieved from Shark UK, was up and beyond any other I can recall.
Emailed them my issue, they kept in constant contact along the entire process, and resolved the problem.
If you buy a Shark product, you arent just buying a quality product, but also getting an assurance, you'll recieve a quality customer experience.

Almost too powerful 🥵

Experience of buying was spot on, vacuum is so powerful. I was slightly embarrassed by amount of dust it found on first run around house.

Only reason for 1 star drop is that we have thick pile carpets upstairs and it is like a full body workout to get the vacuum across the carpet as it’s so powerful… easy on older carpet. I’m 52 and struggle with it but I would not recommend for people who aren’t physically fit if they have thick pile carpets!

Just off the phone with Liam from…

Just off the phone with Liam from customer services. He was superb and resolved my issue with no quibbles whatsoever. Shark has been one of the best customer services I have ever dealt with. Never had any problems get issues solved and always pretty much straight through on the phone.

I have a shark flexbreeze hydro go…

I have a shark flexbreeze hydro go portable misting fan it is almost impossible to clean the blades as the front does not detach to allow access to the internal blades for the purposes of cleaning the mechanism it is one of the worst bits of design I've ever seen why haven't you designed a detachable front to get access to clean the filthy dust that traps on the blade and internal workings instead of saying shove a cloth through the 'tiny gap at the front of the fan which is not only in practical but impossible after reading this I could not believe that's how you expect people to clean these fans get real

Fabulous service

Had a shark flexi breeze fan for approx 2yrs have finally felt the need to use as the weather has improved to find it would not charge or start. I considered buying a new plug but after watching several videos online decided It might be a waste of money. Eventually I rang a number I found online-apparently a call centre in Egypt. The young lady i spoke to couldn't have been more helpful. Luckily my guarantee had 2 days left on it. I have received a new fan within 48hrs. I am unexpectedly very pleased with the service thank you very much
