We specialise in supplying sewing machines, overlockers, embellishers, embroidery machines, sewing/embroidery machines, steam presses, roller presses and various sewing accessories. We are aware that in today's increasingly competitive environment, it is important that we continue to focus our efforts in maintaining the first class customer service that we try to provide. Feedback lets us know what we are doing well and also what we can do better. Receiving feedback from customers and also by the amount of repeat and recommended business we receive, we feel that we are going some way to achieving our goals and that our efforts are being recognised and appreciated.

Fantastic customer service from SMD

Fantastic customer service from SMD. I was torn between several models of sewing machine so called the switchboard and spoke to a lovely gentleman (Russell I think). He answered every question I had and easily helped me to come to a decision for purchase. I got off the phone and completed my purchase immediately, I ordered before 4pm and received the item the next day. Absolutely fantastic knowledgeable team of people would definitely buy again.

Excellent delivery service

I ordered my machine, a Janome DC3200 on a Wednesday afternoon, it arrived on Friday.
Brilliant service!
Thank you SMD!
I chose to buy from SMD because that was where I had bought my last Janome machine from, about 15 years ago. And because they have an excellent record of service on Trustpilot.

Easy ordering and quick delivery time.

Easy ordering and quick delivery time.
Product packed well
Only issue was with having to be home for delivery as final courier delivery from DPD being 4 hours after 1 hour time slot.
I do realise this is out of your control.

Very efficient

Very efficient, delivered quickly. Slight problem with order dealt with capably, promptly and totally satisfactorily by telephone. Obviously a business that is efficient and trustworthy. Thank you.

Highly Recommended

I had my first brother innovis from Sewing Machines Direct 23 years ago! It had just one repair 10 years ago but it finally gave up on me last year. I had been using another mechanical machine since but there is nothing like a computerised one. The offer on the A60 is excellent value . It is a superb machine . The free sewing thread and scissors set are a really generous bonus.
