I had forgotten just how bad Selfridges online service was. Ordered a large Xmas Hamper that did not appear. Called customer services who really didn't know what was going on and said they would get back to me in 24 hours or so. No sign of a response and no sign of a hamper. Selfridges customer service strikes again.
As an update - following this review Selfridges replied here. I emailed as suggested and a further week on (now 19th Jan) - no contact, no apology and they still have my money. They simply don’t care. Please save yourself the pain and hassle of dealing with them.

Brilliant Brooke in women's fashion.
I visited Selfridges in the Trafford Centre to look for a Sporty and Rich sweatshirt for my (very choosy) daughter and was lucky enough to be served by Brooke. She couldn't have been more helpful, going out of her way to offer advice, bringing out fresh stock in different sizes and suggesting a gift receipt. She clearly has a real enthusiasm and knowledge of fashion. I hope I'm served by her on my next visit.

Awful customer service.
Awful experience. Told me a refund was processed when it wasn't FIVE TIMES. Every time I called they said no refund has been requested but they have done now so I don't need to keep calling. Refund should have been requested on the 5th of December, still nothing today the 19th. Will avoid at all costs.

Do not buy online off these cowboys
Ordered something which is costing over £1,000 and paid for delivery on Tuesday 13th December as I required it by the Wednesday.
It didn’t arrive Tuesday so I emailed selfridges who said they would investigate. I’ve called twice since and been told there’s nothing they can do and they will open an investigation.
I’ve still no product and no concrete date I will get it.
I’ve requested a call from a manager 3 times. No call.
I’ve requested a refund to be told not possible where in fact if I order something online which I require for a certain date and they don’t deliver despite saying they would they legally have to give me a refund if requested. So as we speak selfridges are illegally holding my money and refusing my refund And not delivering the product.
I could have bought the same item from flannels or one of a number of other retailers at the same price.
My advice don’t use selfridges as you do not get anything like the service you would expect. I’m feeling like I’ve been scammed by selfridges which is not why you deal with a big company like this.
Don’t reply to this saying email with social in the title as I’ve done that and that email was ignored too!!!
Thankfully I purchased on credit card so I can just get them to sort with no stress..
Buy elsewhere.
You also copy and paste the exact same response to everyone if the 100s of negative reviews yet don’t resolve. I think trading standards need to get involved and will be contacting them also.

This is the worse shopping experiences…
This is the worse shopping experiences ever! Purchased a pair of earrings at GBP2125 in the mall. They promised to mail it out to me in four days with an email confirmation. Now it's been 10 days and no parcel, no email, nothing. Tried to make contact with them but they never answer the hotline and the live chat was just a joke that it would always break down automatically after greeting you. In short, there is basically no way to make contact with them unless you show up in their mall in person.

Poor service
I ordered 4 items online and only 1 item arrived with a damaged repacked box. Selfridges are not very good on replying about the investigation, emails are being ignored and online chat just cut off when the customer service doesn't want to give you any further information. They didn't advise when I will get the refund and all I can do is wait for the items return by DHL to their distribution centre. Selfridges confirmed that DHL found the missing items, which proved that I never receive them and it is not necessary to hold on the refund.

I ordered a parcel from selfridges and never received it
I ordered a parcel from selfridges and it was supposedly delivered on the 3rd December 2022 to my old address, the people at my old address are adamant they didn’t sign for it, they have give us our other parcels, DPD never delivered it and saying they are? I have tried to contact selfridges numerous times with no luck!! My order is now out of stock and I am out of pocket and now can’t get my daughter the Christmas present she really wants, don’t know where to go with this. You have replied below and I have contacted selfridges numerous times again but still waiting for an update 5 days later.

Nightmare experience. Wrong designer bag delivered. Sending it back to UK is impossible as FedEx/DHL want a phone number and name (and to pay import tax), which Selfridges won’t provide. Customer service is polite but never does what they promise. Called 5 times and still no action. Pure stress

Very poor experience from a store that…
Very poor experience from a store that I used to go to all the time. Ordered a dog coat and paid extra for it to be delivered within 2 days. 8 days later hasn't arrived. Chased by email and although I've given the order number I've asked for my name, email and address, provided those and nothing back. Can't access the app either. I work with customers and in tech. Definitely would have expected a brand like this to get the basics right. Will not shop there again.

I ordered an iPad through Selfridges…
I ordered an iPad through Selfridges and received a confirmation email, I logged into my account to see that the order had been cancelled. I haven’t received any emails to confirm the order was cancelled. The money was taken and is still sitting in my banks pending account 7 days later! I’m am furious! I need to reorder an iPad elsewhere but Selfridges obviously haven’t cancelled the payment with the bank. How can this company take peoples money when they have no stock? Customer service just told me to contact the bank! It’s really unacceptable.

Ordered 2 items online which have never been delivered to me.
Someone else signed for the delivery not in my building (i checked CCTV footage)
I called CS they asked me to communicate via email only but they keep ignoring my emails.
So frustrating
I have proof that the package has been misplaced by DPD but they don't seems to care.
I never though i would have such a BAD experience with a luxury department store.

your system always has problems... As an international level luxury corporation you should do better! The annual winter sales is what keeps me subscribing over the years. It seems that we don't even get a sale this year, and your system has issue adding items to carts. Oh well...last straw to not renew my subscription!

I had a problem with the price in my shopping cart being 100 times larger than it should be when proceeding to payment gate. I had contact them via chat, they couldn’t solved.
I have also tried to contact them by email several times, but not only have they not responded, but my account has been locked. When trying to log in on the website, the system says my "Shopping Cart is locked by a customer service representative".
I have needed to shop by this week and have not even gotten a reply as to whether or not a resolution can be reached.
I shop at Selfridges online so often that I wasted a little over 10 months when I just renewed my Selfridges+ subscription last month.
The issue that someone has warned us about below can really happen.
I was really disappointed.

Worst customer service of all
Delivered an item before they initial delivery date, knowing I wouldn't be in. Left the parcel at a side door which is visible and accessible from the street which I didn't consent to.
No acknowledgement from them other than "well its been delivered" when it clearly hadn't. No follow up emails and a complete lack of empathy from the customer service team.
I've forked out a lot of money for a product which never arrived.

Poor customer service …
Ordered a birthday gift to be delivered to Oxford street shop on a Friday. Had an email to say it wouldn’t arrive on time but gave me no indication as to when it would be delivered. I emailed to say I could potentially pick it up on Saturday but thereafter I wouldn’t be able to go into town for a long time. Plus the birthday will have been and gone. I asked for it to be delivered instead. I had an email to say that they would need to charge for delivery and they can’t retrieve the cost of delivery off me at their end so I would need to order it again. I then asked for a refund and I was then told I would need to wait 7 days (the holding time for the parcel at the store ) and then I would get a refund. When I asked whether or not I could have an immediate refund I was told no and by the way the order is still in transit so it won’t even be 7 days from today, it will be 7 days from when it arrives in store. I was cut off twice on online chat prematurely even though I was being very polite. Is it me or is this really poor customer service from a luxury brand?! Certainly won’t be shopping at selfridges again. Not to be trusted it seems.

If I could give a zero then I would !
If I could give a zero then I would !! Bought earphones worth over £300 which I found faulty as they kept cutting out and caused irritation to my ears and were poor fitting. I returned the product within the 28 return period. Selfridges refused to acknowledge my complaint and said that the item was not faulty and they would not refund me my monies. They said that I had used the item.
Of course I used the item or how else would I have found the fault ????
I will be taking matters further to claim my monies back .... watch this space !
