Defective underwear after first use – rigid return policy
I usually have good experiences with About You, but this time I was really disappointed with how a simple issue was handled.
I ordered a pack of 3 lace panties and after the very first wear the lace on one pair completely came apart. I sent clear photos to customer service showing the defect. Instead of resolving it based on the photos, I was told that I must send back the entire pack of underwear for inspection.
This felt quite unreasonable and uncomfortable to me, especially since it involves used underwear and only one piece from the pack was defective. I had already thrown the damaged pair away because it was completely unusable, because I wasn't assuming they would need me to send used underwear back.
I understand that companies have procedures, but in situations like this I would expect a bit more flexibility or a goodwill solution for a clearly defective product.
It’s a shame, because otherwise I’ve had good experiences shopping at About You.
