The Sarajevo City Card offers a unique way to explore Sarajevo. You get access to all major highlights and more than 10 museums, city-wide public transport, a cable car and more discount options. Major benefits include saving money by getting exclusive discounts at attractions, restaurants, concerts and other events.

Please do not buy this card.
This card is not worth it. I went to 5 museums on the list. Only 2 of them accepted this card. Also, I couldn't get on a cable car with this card.
I bought this 88.90 KM (almost 45 EUR). I could only use it for 14 KM. Additionally, I needed to spend 52 KM to get a cable car and museum tickets.
They kindly made a refund. It seems the staffs on holiday shift did not know about this card.
The initiative around having one card that gets you entry to most of the museums in the city is a really good one. However some of the museums listed as covered by the card were not part of the scheme when we turned up. It also ended up working out more expensive than paying for the museums separately because we did not take advantage of the public transport and there was ongoing maintenance of the tram network while we were staying.

Due the different buscompanies i couldnt use the card from humska to the city center. The advertising says all busses and trams except the bus from airport but unfortunelity that is not true. Now i had to pay for the bus and taxi. I only used it now for the cable car......i paid 45 euro for the card for 72 hours. Now i only used 15 euro for the cable car. So no Sarajevo card for me in future.

In general it's a good city card to have IF you are traveling extensively by public transport (buses, trams owned by GRAS) and you are FOR SURE interested in and will DEFINITELY go to MOST of the museums listed in the city card that grants you free access to.
However, in my own experience, the public transport is extremely unreliable and some trams that I was supposed to take, never arrived, or could have almost an hour delay. If you stay in down town or old town, walking probably gets you places quicker, and taking a taxi a few times a day for 3 days you likely end up paying the same as the cost of the city card.
Most museums I was interested in and were popular (Crimes agains Humanity museum, Gallery 11/07/95, Siege of Sarajevo Museum, National Museum etc) are not covered by the city card. During the 72 hours I held the card, I took the tram three times (no need to validate city pass) and the only time I took a GRAS bus and when I showed the driver the City Pass, he said it is not accepted and I had to buy a ticket for the ride.
With the City Pass I visited the history museum, Jewish museum, and used it for a round trip cable car, plus 3 times using the tram. The total cost if I had to pay individually, would've been much cheaper than the cost of the 72 hour city card itself.
Just think twice before you buy the card.

It would have been great if you could save the digital card into your phone wallet, in my case Apple Wallet. I had to take a snapshot of it just in case I couldn’t open the email it was sent in.
Also, many places weren’t equipped to deal with the card. They all accepted it but they had to search around for the device to process it.
Also, I’m not sure if it actually saved me any money. It’s too expensive given that the holder might not want to visit every place on the list (the only way the card actually saves money).

The card is very helpful and worth buying as you get to visit many museums for free though some museums are quite small I still believe it's worth the price as you can use the trams for free that run around the city furthermore you get some discounts at restaurants which provide some authentic Bosnian food! The best thing about the card is the free cable car return ride usually you got to pay extra for a return some people walk down the mountain which does have some incentives like walking down the mountain you can take pictures in certain areas but it can be tiresome so having the return trip for free is very much worth the price.
So overall pretty could a 4.5 rating imo because small museums aren't amazing especially for paying as a family but if you use the trams a lot to see other attractions etc it evens out the cost. :D

Straight forward to use. A tram inspector just glanced at the image copy of the card on my mobile and moved on.

Is accepted everywhere even though the systems don't yet do this automatically

We used the card at many places, including the cable car. Very convenient. However it is a pity that in the online shop there is no option for students / children. I am not sure that the card was an advantage for our 17yo since most of the places have significant discounts on entrance for this category. But definitely recommended for adults.

This makes everything so easy. For trams and most city museums. We made the money back in the time. It only includes GRAS transport as I understand it.

The website is great and the pass is easy to buy and includes tons of great attractions! The time constraint can be difficult as many museums may only be open 10-3 and many are closed Sunday. Sometimes attractions were also closed for renovation or special events and hours sometimes differ from their webpages. Due to the flexible nature of attractions being open or closed, it would have been cheaper for me to pay for these museums individually as I was not able to see 88km worth of attractions during the 72 hours of my pass and paid to see some of the same museums on the pass after my card expired.

Accepted in a lot of interesting sights and made my trip to Sarajevo stress free.
The public transport isn’t on the same level as say Madrid or Budapest so I didn’t really use that function of the card that much but it still works seamlessly if you venture out of the old town for anything.
I didn't particularly like the sarajevo card. The price is too high for what you get.
The cable car was broken, so I couldn't go and thr conducter at the tram station didn't have a scanning device, so I had to buy another ticket.
The card covers a lot of the attractions, museums, and a ride up the gondola to the Olympic Bobsled track, but doesn't include some museums. Check the website to make sure it covers most of the things you want to see. It is a good deal for what you pay.
It is a great idea and something which can help the tourists and the people, however is not working properly. The system is new and need more updates maybe .
In the few days I used the Card for the Tram, some Museums and the trip to Trebevic. It worked great.
I can only recommend to everyone this card for an uncomplicated trip to sarajevo. Using public transportation and free admission to all attractions.
