Very dirty service!!

Very dirty service!!! Calling the Santander customer service four times and call agent say your case is fine and you must waiting 3-4 days to receive your credit card. After one month no emails no call!! Customer says colleague is in holyday!! Wtf???? Must wait after he come back??? Stupid company!!!!

I regret but understand your disappointment and frustration.

Please note that first you need to choose a 4-digit PIN code before the card is created and sent. You should have received a sms for this.
If you cannot choose a PIN code, then you will receive the card and a PIN code by mail. The whole process can take two weeks. Unfortunately, our call agents are unable to speed up this process.

The information you received about having to wait for someone to be back from holiday is incorrect for which I offer you my sincere apologies.

Visit our website https://www.santander.be/nl/contact in order to contact us (again). Hopefully this situation can be resolved quickly and we can win back your confidence.

😑 Simulator of interests is misleading

I have 2 saving accounts Vision and Vision +. While the interest rates are amongst the highest out there, the tool in the app to simulate the interests is misleading. I opened the saving accounts in January 2025. When i run the simulation, it shows me what i get on 1st April 2025. While one would feel good about this tool and the amount it indicates, the simulation fails to inform you that you don not recieve such interest gains on your account within the first year of opening but the following year. The date showed in the simulation is misleading and honestly not cool for a bank of this standard. Fair enough, It s indicated in the FAQ that you get the interests the next year but the simulation does NOT capture that. Without fixing this misleading bug in the simulation, I feel disappointed.

Attention Service activation carte de crédit ne fonctionne pas beug pour créer un code .. dommage
par contre j ai reçu un mail avec mon numéro de carte la date d expiration et numero de client j ai donc pu procéder a mon achat je remercie l équipe Santander

Very smooth and swift operation

Very smooth and swift operation. The operator was a nice, polite, and careful employee who deeply asked questions and provided professional help to find solutions. I had a credit card from this bank before, and when I asked for another credit, they studied my case and provided me the best choice. Very happy as a client. I will continue my relations with them in the future.

Opened a saving account recently &…

Opened a saving account recently & transferred money. All ok so far.

However I am totally surprised by the Very Low level access security! A User ID and a simple fix Password are enough to get in. No Itsme, no other second channel authentication (sms etc), no hard or soft token for a one-time password etc. Just a simple password. So the accounts can be hacked anytime!!!!

I don’t dare put large amounts behind such weak security.

I checked if I could change or upgrade the authentication method.No you cannot.

I invite everyone, including the bank, to be Very cautious.

Great financial help

I very much recommend Santander finance to anyone who needs financial help, they have helped me in the past and once again they have helped me when needed it.
The person who assisted me (Paulina Skowronska) is the nicest, friendliest and most helpful person I've ever dealt with.

Santander lost my money and they can't find them in a month!

I have opened an account with Santander consumer bank attracted by the good interest.
I have transferred a big amount of euros to the account, but Santander never registered this transaction. After one month of calling everyday to the useless Santander call center I have learned that:
- never ever use Santander again, they are a scam!
- the call center has no power, they keep saying they are escalating my problems to operations, but nothing happens.
- as a customer, you have no reassurance about your money: if there is an IT problem for your money, they may be lost or stuck for very long and nobody at Santander call center will be able to help you.

Currently I have escalated this with ombudsfin and hopefully I will get a reply and my money back... hopefully!
Stay away.
