Sand Blasters is part of the M & T Traders group and is a family owned company that was started back in 2008. At the beginning we were just called Martyns Bargains and we started in a small industrial unit in Retford, Nottinghamshire. As the business progressed we decided to expand and make things bigger so we could hold more stock. From the start, our company had a popular demand because we offered products at a great pricing structure and we have grown a good customer base by keeping to this structure. We are a team of husband and wife who are very hard working and dedicated towards what we do. Throughout this journey, we have gained an immense amount of knowledge and are still learning to this day.

Lovely company to deal with.
Lovely company to deal with.
I have been struggling to find knowledgeable people to talk to regarding the less-than-transparent world of air compressors.
I was able to have an in-depth honest discussion over the phone followed up by email correspondence.
Will be using again for sure.

Joke customer service
Joke customer service - as in they don’t have any!
Placed two orders with them, within half an hour of each other. Emailed immediately after making the first order to say I’d messed it up and needed to cancel, but for their benefit I’d placed a new order so that it was a straight swap.
No reply, emailed twice further - surprise surprise, the first order and most expensive order had been dispatched immediately after placing the order.
Cheaper order, order two (and the one I want) hasn’t been dispatched or seen yet.
When I complained, they said they are governed by their dispatch time not the customer service, so don’t bother look at their emails often.
I run a business too and the above is such a ridiculous way to run a business.
They charge for a pallet delivery too but send out with a parcel courier.
REPLY TO SANDBLASTER:
You seem to be confusing good customer service with a fast despatch - there’s so much more to running a business than just throwing items in boxes and shipping them out - even Amazon has a despatch period and it’s for a reason!!!
I run a busy body with 11 employees, calling wasn’t possible at that time due to noise but I thought 3 emails flagging the issue should be sufficient. If you’re able to see verification of an order coming in then you should be able to see customer emails - if you can’t cope with it, I suggest you hire someone for admin, even a body shop has to, like I said there’s A LOT more to business than shipping orders.

Good contact and customer approach
Contacted them through eBay, quickly got a phone call to answer my question. Very nice conversation, all my questions did got a clear answer. Ordered sand blasting cabinet on their website and arrived surprisingly already the next day. It is much bigger than I expected and haven't put it to work yet, but so far the experience with this company has been excellent.

Purchased a blasting cabinet from them…
Purchased a blasting cabinet from them to complete a project with a very strict deadline. Even opted to pay £20 more E and purchase it through their EBay store because they advertised delivery within 3 days of purchase. When the parcel never came as promised I wrote the store and requested a cancel since I could clearly save £20 via their actual store and I could no longer make my deadline anyways. The parcel showed “information obtained but item not yet received” by DPD (which is the delivery service the company chose not me). I even offered to allow the company to pricematch their own internet store at that point since I was still in the market for a cabinet. They told me no and that the £20 loss to them (for EBay fees) was too much to eat even though they were happy for me to have to eat those fees that I paid since they told me it would arrive in time to meet my deadline.
Then when I told them I still needed them to cancel the order, even though it shows DPD hadn’t picked up the parcel when I requested the cancel, they told me they would “Try” to recall the parcel and would not refund me until they had it back in their possession.
Not good customer service. Their £20 is way more important to them even after their (or their chosen courier) was responsible for a much bigger financial loss to a customer who also has deadlines to meet (although stands behind his word).
Disappointed but not surprised, to say the least.

I recently bought a SB28 from you
I recently bought a SB28 from you. Although It is generally a good machine it lets itself down on two counts. The brush is made of a synthetic material, some sort of plastic which lacs flexibility. This makes it difficult to glide it smoothy over the work surface. The bristles are bent on one side of the brush which meant it didn't sit evenly on the surface either.
The nozzle is set back too far from the work surface which means that it looses a lot of its power before it reaches the work surface. This causes lac of efficiency which results in its lac of effectiveness to remove unwanted material. I have some wheel rims I would like to clean before painting and unfortunately it will not remove the paint so I will have to think of something else which will effectively remove the paint.
In conclusion I have found that considering its restricted use I am wondering if I should have bought it in the first place.
In reply to your reply:
1) It is a pity that you think the material used for the brush is adequate because the stiffness of the present material has a considerable detrimental affect on the usable experience of the machine.
2) The position of the nozzle does not have to be up against the work surface to be affective. There is a huge gap between the end of the nozzle and the work surface resulting in minimal affectiveness. I have a cabinet where I blast small objects and get the nozzle within an inch of the surface. This does not destroy the nozzle. You seem to think it does.
The whole point of buying this machine was because it should make it possible to blast objects too large to put in a small cabinet without having to do the operation in a walk-in cabinet with all the inconvenience and expense of the equipment required when using a pressure pot.
May I suggest you get hold of a couple of these different machines to see how they work.
May I also suggest that you explain in more detail how this machine works in the description on your website including the advantages and disadvantages of using this instead of a pressure pot without a vacuum.
