Took only 12 days to deliver 11 custom unisuits for my rowing team - such high quality, really prompt and efficient customer service too answering all my worries about delivery dates etc etc. Can't wait to shop again!
From not great to absolutely amazing!
We started working with Rival early 2023 as a university rowing club. It was fantastic, they created kit based off all of our needs and provided us with multiple options for items we wanted. However the customer service dropped right off and it was virtually impossible to get through to anyone and some of the kit quality was poor. HOWEVER, 2024 has been like working with a totally different company. The Customer service is now impeccable and the kit is absolutely top quality. Lead times on kit has been around 10 days and the design team are really quick to implement any changes that are wanted. I can’t think of better company to use for the supply of the clubs kit.
I would also like to mention that although in 2023 when the service was bad, Ryan M would always ensure that we had enough kit for races and that anything that was wrong was always replaced, meaning that none of our athletes ever missed out on kit they had paid for.
I’m super excited to continue working with Rival Kit in the future and excited to see how they grow even bigger!!

Good customer service
I ordered the largest size Oxford base layer rowing top which was XL on the website, as a Christmas present for my son. When the top arrived it was too tight across the shoulders.
I contacted customer services to arrange a refund and was informed that they have larger sizes available. Calum offered to order a new top whist I returned my top. Which I greatly appreciated as the items are made to measure and can take 8 weeks to arrive.
I was very pleased to find the new top arrived in 4 weeks.

The worst quality and customer service
The worst customer service I've ever seen. They could not care any less about their customers!!
Been waiting for a replacement item for months but no reply to my emails. Original item (that took months to arrive) was faulty which they agreed to exchange back in October but no words since. Also the quality of the zootie is below average. Would not recommend to anyone at all!!
Dishonest, unreliable, dreadful customer service
Placed an order which eventually arrived over 4 months late (and only after prompting them). One item is still missing and another item which should have been XXL is barely a medium. Customer service team initially responded but have stopped responding and I have given up trying to return the incorrectly sized item - and also have given up chasing the missing item.
Their business model seems to be to withhold actually delivering purchased goods, in the hope that the true owner of those goods (i.e. the customer) will give up - presumably at that point the item is added back into rival kit's inventory to be sold again to another unsuspecting customer.
Customer service is appalling - no response on the phone and they've now stopped responding to emails.
Quality of the goods was poor - in addition to the afore-mentioned sizing issue, the printing on other items was blurred.
Overall they side-step the issue of poor reviews by having exclusive arrangements with schools / universities / sports clubs whose unfortunate participants have no option but to buy from them if they want to purchase branded kit. As such any negative reviews sadly have no effect on customers as they can't go to an alternative kit supplier if their club has chosen rival kit as the sole supplier.
I genuinely have no idea why a sports club would ever sign a contract with them and I'll be advising our club to end the contract ASAP.

Avoid! Worst customer service - trading emails with our close to totally non-responsive “rep” for nearly three months and still have not received order. Escalated to generic emails and an email of a different rep – finally had a few emails back, but we still have not received our order

I’ve been waiting over a year now for an item. They took months to deliver the wrong item, sent it back assured of a replacement asap. Now a year on, multiple chasers, promises of swift delivery from customer support if they bothered to reply.
I doubt the item would even fit even if it were delivered now or it will be summer time and the need for a thermal gillet will be vastly diminished.
I honestly doubt anyone will even read this review from Rivals end, but if you do please cancel this order (

Items didn't arrive, wrong size, no reply from customer service
The first time I ordered from them it was fine, although it took a long time for things to arrive.
I then made a second order last March, and while some of the things arrived quite quickly, some took a relly long time, and one item has still not arrived more than 7 months later. I have contacted their custormer service about this, but have had no reply.
Another item I ordered was the wrong size. I ordered a pair of tights in XS, but when it arrived, it was clearly the wrong size. I already had another pair of tights fromt hem in XS, and this was significantly bigger, and too big for me to be able to use when exercising wihtout it starting to slide down. I contacted their customer service, and was asked to send pictures, which I did. I then heard nothing else. I contacted them again multiple times after this, and have had no reply. It has been over four months since I recieved that item and contacted them about the wrong size.
Order placed on 24th June: 13 weeks later still no sign
Order placed on 24th June. Now 28th September. Chased twice for an update. Nothing. Called but just went to voicemail. Now have a 15 year old who has no presents on his birthday tomorrow. This company are in repeated breach of the Consumer Rights Act. Do not order from them!

Words literally can't describe how appalling this company is. Quality is pathetic. Service non existent. No one replies to emails, answers the phones or offers a modicum of service.

Took a VERY long time to order a simple single item, with a small customisation, which still hasn’t been delivered after over 2 months. When I tried to pursue them through their customer services, they ignored my calls and emails, with terrible automated replies, giving promises that they didn’t keep. They gave me no update what so ever about the order and why there were delays, telling me that it was in the post, then blamed me for not giving them the detail they needed, which I had provided, but they didn’t see it due to their poor website. When I asked for a refund, because it was taking too much time, they said no. They have had my money for over 2 months and they have been very slow. Still waiting for my item to arrive, but I doubt it will. I also doubt they will improve their customer services or website, to ensure these issues won’t happen again.
Unambitious, poor customer service and slow, slow, slow!
I ordered five pieces of kit 22 weeks ago. Three pieces arrived after about four weeks. The quality seems okay but I've seen better. The fourth item took 15 weeks. There is still no sign of the final item. It did say that it could take up to 12 weeks to dispatch which is pretty horrendous for a hat but it's been nearly double that now with no update of any kind. I've just emailed them to ask why and got an automated reply saying it may take up to ten working days to get back to me. Pretty hopeless all round and the other reviews seem representative of my experience with them.
Min 9 week wait on order. Don't bother!
Emailed a number of times after the standard shipping time to ask where my order was to have no reply's to any updates.
After waiting 10 weeks my order arrived and the design and material is not as advertised and it is completely different to the previous product that I had a few months before until it was stolen.
Contacted RIVAL via email to express this and to ask for a refund and had not a single response. Have also contacted the via SHOP and they have yet to respond.
Dreadful customer service and clearly they are cutting corners in the factory just to throw kit out. If you are looking to get kit in time for racing, don't bother! SO glad my uni are looking for a new kit supplier.

Terrible company no communication
Disappointing experience
I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Our awful experience to date. Spent several hundreds of pounds on our sons rowing kit. Took months as oppose to weeks to receive. Wrong items sent. Now no one replying to emails. Items after a few months wear, piled, seams breaking, logo coming off. Not fit for purpose, disappointed customers and we are still trying to get it to sorted out and getting nowhere. Shame they aren't dealing with this to turn the service around for their customers.
No delivery more then 16 weeks
Ordered my son’s rowing jacket 16 weeks ago, they gave you next day delivery option as well and charge for it, for deliveries which might take weeks to arrive!
Standard delivery supposed to be 10-12 weeks for my order but still nothing.
What is more disappointing is that the customer service is very ignorant, no empathy or sympathy at all, they say they would investigate and and get back to you, but no feedback at all until your next call, emails are completely ignored and you feel like calls are only answered for the sake of answering, no action taken at all!
Not sure why school are working with companies like Rival Kit, which only makes parents feels hopeless, and stressed!
