Pretty comprehensive website although the policy documents contain far more detailed requirements than obviously noted in the application process. But the website is backed up by people who will answer your questions where ambiguity exists.

Ripe has got really bad practices, you really have to read the small print with them, they will always over charge you so things and you always have to check your bank statement with what they have taken out as they will over charge, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Customer service is almost non existent too, cancellation is like attaining world peace, just never going to happen.

Reasonably priced and well laid out, process was painful, recommended!!
Taken out insurance which was very competitive, but as for anything else to say about Ripe I can’t really say as I’ve not made a claim , so how they perform if the occasion arises we shall have to see
Although the buying process is straightforward and easy to complete it doesn't appear to give you an opportunity to view the policy before purchase. Some competitors show all documentation before you complete. Having said that, the quote was highly competitive and I went for it.
Also, disappointing to report that when I login to my account I cannot see either of the insurance products I have bought.

Easy to create exactly what was needed, good choices, and a great price at the end of it.
Easy to use website but would have been helpful to know upfront what the policy covered. This came in brief form later. Otherwise fine.
So many 5 star ratings on here but these are only from those that have just signed up and not made an actual claim. I had to make one and I got it sorted quickly but only because I was persistent. I think I spent a good 1.5 hours altogether trying to get through on 2 separate occasions. The telephone numbers on the policy aren’t correct. And while speaking to the incorrect departments I was given multiple different numbers. If you are making a claim I wouldn’t bother emailing them as I doubt you would get a timely response. Also I think if my lens needed to be replaced then I think it would have been more of a struggle with them but as it was a fairly cheap repair, they went with it without any issues. To be fair to them when I did get through, they were quite helpful. If I was to cancel my policy I will also be making sure that I cancel the direct debit with my bank and then call Ripe to make sure it’s done. After making an official complaint I received a letter stating that they would deal with my issue within 8 weeks.. 8 weeks??
