Pay a little more somewhere else for better service

Been with Ripe since 2018. Monthly premium is good price. However in November, my equipment was stolen and hence made the claim. I would not exaggeraate but this claim is still ongoing and a big nightmare. I am having to call them literally every day to hear that they are waiting for internal validation team report. I must have called them about 30-40 times till today and must have explained the whole incident 4-5 times (one even by a letter) but still no outcome.

They are stalling my case on purpose. I have spoken to like 5-6 agents in regards to my claim, no idea why can not they just assign one agent per case for ease of communication with the customer.

One advice that I will give this to myself from this experience, Pay a little more and go with a better, reputable company.

The process of getting a quote was…

The process of getting a quote was super easy and I like how they made the total visible straight away. No waiting for emails with the total to come through. The price is also very competitive and covers everything I need as a semi-professional photographer.

Provided quote of £11.91 pm , but!!

Provided quote of £11.91 per month. By the time they ask for 20% up front and charge interest it’s still £13 ish per month. They also use a finance company to set up the monthly payments - beware ! Don’t believe the headline quote. Decent quote, but they lie about the true costs.

1 strike and you're out!

The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because I am being refused cover due to making a claim with them. Sounds like a 1 strike and you're out policy!
