Extremely Unprofessional
As a small business owner, I recently ran a professional outreach programme to market my products to dental professionals.
I sent a mailshot addressed to Jon Benton of Richard Miller White; like all marketing campaigns, it was designed to be engaging, disruptive and eye-catching. Mr Benton responded by leaving a 1* review on my business' Trustpilot page.
Ironically the review described my leaflet as "unprofessional & spammy" - particularly ironic given he is an ambassador for a competitor brand.
I fully understand that not every marketing approach resonates with everyone, and feedback on messaging is fair. However, I was disappointed to see a strong public response to a leaflet, and would have been extremely appreciative of any constructive feedback being shared with me directly.
