Great Bike Packing Kit - Excellent Customer Services

I'm very surprised by the lack of positive reviews - I have only had really great service and support from Restrap.

I lost the magnet clip for the race vest - without any issues they brought a replacement to the Further race we both where attending. And when my race vest mesh pockets where 'attacked' by the terrain in the Further Pyrenees race - no quibbles or issues - they repaired the ripped mesh pockets very quickly and got the race vest back to me very quickly, like new - at no cost!

You can't ask for better customer service / experience :-)

Its good well constructed kit (Race Vest, 7ltr Race saddle bag, Top Tube bag, Medium frame bag and bike carry harness, fast straps ) that lasts and supported by excellent customer services.

Note - I don't work for Restrap and I'm not sponsored by them - all the Restarp bags / kit I owe, i have bought with my own money.

Finally: Thank you Restrap for supporting the small but extreme (hard) races like 'Further' :-)

PS I haven't been drinking thee Restrap cool-aid - its just my experience and opinion.

Product sold cheaper in EU

I was ready to buy 2 handlebar and 2 saddle bags (approx £500) but whilst on holiday in France the Restrap website automatically directed me to France and Euros. Voila! It's cheaper here! Rather insulting to UK buyers. If you still want the stuff buy it on holiday and send it to your accomodation

nice design, not necessarily fit for purpose

nice designs but not customer oriented, which is shocking for a small company that carries lifetime warranties for some of its products. I told them the buckle on one of their bags was not fit for purpose and they basically said 'sorry you're disappointed.' and this for a bag that DOES have a lifetime warranty. bit of wasted money, not sure I'll return to this brand even though I like their side bottle cages.

Customer service

A buckle broke on on my restrap bag that has done many miles. I sent a message via thier website received a reply almost straight away advising me on the part I needed. Also giving me an option to send away for repair.
Ordered the part which arrived in a couple of days. ..excellent

Incorrect listing, return at my own expense.

Ordered a bag that was listed with the wrong dimensions on their site (from a retailer, not Restrap).
Returned as it was not suitable.

Restrap only partly corrected the listing on their site, both the retailer and Restrap refused to cover return postage. Pretty dissapointing.

Do not recommend

Zipper of a custom frame bag failed after a few weeks. They do not help with repairs. They just told me what I probably did wrong!

Instagram hype

Instagram hype company.

I did a tour with three different brands: Restrap, Tailfin and Ortleib.

Restrap bar bag with food pouch and top tube bag. Restrap was the only brand that let me down. The 14L dry bag constantly got wet and the food pouch falls off all the time. To quote Restrap customer service ‘zips are water resistant not water water proof’ meaning they cannot guarantee all of their bags will stay completely dry.
My Ortleib frame bag also had a zip but didn’t leak to give comparison.
My advice to anyone reading this review is to avoid Restrap and go for the many other brands out there. Restrap charge a lot for their gear and in my opinion the Sheffield lads are producing a disappointment.

Very high quality product and excellent customer service

An amazing product, incredibly high quality and they just last so long. I've got a good few bags from Restrap now, have ridden thousands of kms including on and off road with them and they're absolutely perfect.

A buckle recently broke as I was being a bit overzealous with tightening the dry bag onto my handlebars - I got in touch with them and they offered to either fix it for me if I sent it up to Leeds, or that they could just send me the new part and I could install it myself.

In summary, a fantastic local company, with very high quality products and excellent customer service!

Good stuff, good service

Ordered a few little things from their website.. did have a monitor delivery issue. Contacted customer service, they replied quickly, were friendly and dealt with the issue immediately. Also, I have bought a couple of the bike bags before from other websites and they are good quality.

Eco-friendly good service

I bought a Small Frame bag (amongst other things) from Restrap in 2019. It has travelled with me for thousands of miles. Eventually one of the little clasps broke and the velcro was wearing out a bit.

I sent it off to Restrap for a repair last week. They repaired it for free, and threw in a nice little iron-on patch.

Overpriced, Low quality and dangerous!!!

Purchased a bar bag here a couple of weeks ago. Lets start on the design, 3 low quality straps 1 to attach to your frame (works fine) the other 2 to attach the dry bag (not so good) resulted in me nearly flying over my handlebars as the straps had loosened. The dry bag doesn't seal properly so everything gets wet. and the food patch constantly falls off. A small bag for £85.00 and they cant even get that right!!!

RESTRAP- BIKE COMMUTER SOLUTION 5*

Im very surprised no review for RESTRAP shop here yet, just only on professional cycling websites...

I had to write an review as very seldom, I came across such a professional team, especially thanks to Jon H. from RESTRAP. Like many London commuters these few months, I swap the tube for a bike.... So I needed for my fairly new good German bike 1) a front carrier & installation of it. Unfortunately I tried to call/walk into several bike shops in London.... HELPLESS... I had to get in touch first with Leeds based company RESTRAP (well known for the straps and bag solutions for bikes but not really for bike front carriers but I was desperate to get a solution ASAP) ..

Distance no issue, I was immediately asked on the phone to send pics of my bike in order to find a solution for installation of new PELAGO front carrier. When you call RESTRAP, they pick up the phone straight away and they are not clueless customer service (like some chains or small shops/repairs in London) but proper cyclists...
Seriously if you want results, get in touch with these guys, save your time, £££ , and nerves...and start cycling :-)
