If I could score these zero I would 1 star is far too good for them. I have never been able to use these cards even when new, they dont seem to work. Terms and conditions if you dont use it within a year the money is gone, this is pretty much theft! They should be shut down.

Called to check balance and even that simple service doesn't work. Nothing at the end of the line.

Please be aware that this must be a scam, as every restaurant where we live has never heard of this card, which the card company recommended.
this was a large amount as for my hubby's 70th birthday present from his grandchildren, so very disappointed.

Never again, I bought this card for my husband. I tried to use on just eat website, no chance. They said 5000 restaurant to use. The truth is maybe 20. Awful!!!

Never buy these cards.

They only last for 12 months and you cannot check your balance online. Expect lengthy phone calls. As another reviewer said, it's absolutely archaic.

Awful company to contact. I've tried numerous ways over last hour to get a balance .
We had a £25 voucher bought for us .
Archaic that you can litteraly be sent around the houses trying to find a balance. They state on website to go to voucher.co.uk it's not listed there. It suggests 2 numbers on card neither work. 3 other phone numbers that after listening to some gobble de gook press 1 for balance doesn't work. Tried a different phone number answered by a foreign human being only to be told sorry you can try this number we have listed for them err no that doesn't work either is there an email for these ideots ??

Sadly, everything said about this card in the reviews is true. They are robbing good people who are sending cards as presents to people will never get the benefit. The company should be looked at by the government. And lastly :- One Star is far too good for this company.

Why does the card expire after 12 months? Complete scam

I had this card as a gift. I couldn't find anyone that accepted it .when I did find someone I was told that I need to activate it. When I did eventually activate it it said that it had expired. So they keep the money on it. How is that legal it's not their money. Imagine if banks did that. We have had your money for some time now so we are keeping it.

Could not use the card, staff were very rude on the phone. Complete waste of money.

Awful, awful company. So many things wrong - firstly you don't need to activate the cards, so they expire 12 months after the purchase date - I've never once heard of a gift card activating on the day it is purchased, so for a start, you theoretically don't get the full year because of the time it takes to be delivered! Given that these were a gift, and the person who bought them didn't know about that, it meant I only had just over 6 months to use them, which I didn't end up managing to do and had assumed they were activated either on the first usage or manually online when you wanted to use them.

Secondly, what decade are we in that you have to call a phone number in order to hear your balance? On top of that, you can never get through...


Thirdly, customer services just didn't care when we called up to enquire about the cards and if there was a way to extend them, even by a few weeks or a month. They could have been kind and even sent out a new card with say even half the balance out of pity. But no, nothing can be done apparently!

This company is everything that is wrong in the modern day - archaic processes, poor customer service, and a product not fit for purpose. Given how no other gift cards activate on day of purchase, it's all clearly done in order to screw the end user over.

Scammed cannot use anywhere always declined.. never use again

The card wouldn't work at 2 of the restaurants it says they accept it so ended up paying ourselves, they make it impossible to sort the problem out and blame the restaurants, it's. now it's 12 months up I've lost the money. 😡

Brand new £50 card declined.
Checked balance of the card: £50.
Tried to used it again. Said there was no balance.
Contacted them and they said it’s an issue with the restaurant not the card and they can’t help.
Had to pay for the meal out of own money despite specifically going for a meal at this restaurant because of the voucher.
Contacted again and were sent new cards with an expiry date of July 2026.
Went to use them again today. Balance on the card is £0.
Balance has been transferred to the company due to a fee stating “end of life breakage”.
This was done to both cards reaching a value of £65.
Again had to pay for the meal ourselves as the cards wouldn’t work.

Please read this warning if you want to avoid losing your money

This gift card doesn't work, tried on several occasions at outlets it advertises it can be used on every occasion the restaurant outlet advised me the cards just don't work and when they try and swipe the card it comes up with an error message "declined"

Called the number on the card while in the restaurant but was advised lines were now closed

Sat on the phone trying to get through on the number given for 45 minutes got through to customer services who refused to help or answer my questions just advised me to send an email to their suppliers, EML asking for a refund. Gave no other help at all and just fobbed me off

Emailed the address given to me, nothing came back, emailed again and then 4 days later got a generic message back stating the balance on the card and that it was active and basically said it was the fault of the restaurant outlets for not accepting it

Even finished the email by saying when your next in an outlet to call them for assistance if it didn't work

Iv threatened to report them to trading standards and I demanded to know who regulates them as a company and I was just ignored

It is absolutely clear this company and these gift cards are a scam and don't work, hopefully by reporting it to trading standards something might get done to shut this fraudulent company down

I received a £25 gift card, but I forgot about it until it was “ out of date” They kept the money, but won’t recredit my balance. Totally corrupt company, running a scam. These cards should not expire. The money was not used, it just went into their corporate pocket. 🤨

Have had several of these darn cards now ,and cannot use/ assess any. The money spent by my sibling is lining this companie's pocket. Why they changed from the old ones is beyond me. Swiping a card with credit on use to be simple and easy . Now,assess and the hoops you have to jump through makes the whole experience horrible and embarrassing. I've lost over £200 in gifted cards over the last couple of years. And really need to tell my sibling to stop purchasing these blooming things.

Would give zero starts if I could got a £50 card as a gift that I’ve tried multiple times in zizzi & ask both times cards declined by the restaurants. I called customer services who said the cards aren’t accepted in some of the restaurants advertised on them, they said if I email card support they would arrange a refund emailed card support twice now and just get a generic auto reply back absolutely rubbish service this card should be taken off sale if it’s not accepted at any of the restaurants advertised on it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Tried to use two x £30 gift cards in Prezzos. Cards got declined so originally thought it was the fault of the restaurant, especially as they were advertised as a venue that would accept these cards on the restaurantchoice website. Had to pay over £100 on my own card to settle the bill.

Tried again on another day - this time we went to use the cards at Pizza Express, manager confirmed they did accept them. However, both cards got declined multiple times at the point of paying.

I won’t be trying to use the cards again. Do not purchase these cards as a gift, they’re totally worthless!!

Given the level of reviews on Trust Pilot, I will also be contacting Watchdog and Trading Standards.
