Nice product, poor support and delays

I purchased a bed from Reframed because I liked the design and wanted to support a small brand, but the overall experience was disappointing.

After payment, communication became slow and the delivery was significantly delayed, and arrived split in 3 instead of a whole piece. Once the bed arrived, 6 essential parts needed to secure the slats were missing. I reported the issue with photos, but after more than a week I have not received any response or solution, I just received the missing pieces and an email when I opened a dispute with Paypal to have a refund.

It’s a shame, because the product itself is nice, but due to delays, missing parts, and poor support, the experience let me fear that if for any reason the product will break or have a problem in the future (like I can read in some of the other reviews) the risk is to be ignored and not receive any support

We have been entirely happy with the bed frame we ordered from Reframed. Delivery was on time, and the personal delivery - by one of the owners - gave us perfect insight into the passion behind the company and how hard they've worked to design the product you sleep in every day. Thanks for a great experience.

Untrustworthy

Unfortunately, the rumours are true and this company is very untrustworthy. They make false promises and ignore e-mails. The slats of my bed broke (poor quality for the price) and they promised me new ones as a replacement, after having been ignored by them for weeks already. The slats never arrived, they ignored all my follow up mails to check in with them, and it is now 3 months later. I still have broken slats and I regret ever buying this bed. This is me warning people to spend your money elsewhere.

Very happy with my product

Very happy with my product. It all arrived on time and in perfect condition. The bed is much more sturdy than other beds I've had, and the design fits well with the rest of my room. Highly recommend

Poor quality, poor customer support.

Earlier this year, I ordered a bed and headrest from Reframed. The bed arrived on time, slightly damaged. but the headrest never did. Customer support later told me it had been discontinued. Fine, but you’d expect a refund, right? I didn’t get one.

Reframed held onto my money for weeks while ignoring my emails. I had to escalate the issue to the CEO just to get a response. Eventually, I received my refund and was told they’d send me a nightstand as an apology for the poor handling. That nightstand never arrived.

After countless follow-ups to the CEO, all ignored, I’ve officially given up. Congrats, Reframed, you saved yourself €200

The bed itself? Squeaky and overpriced. When things go wrong, don’t expect them to care. Stay away.

Shlt service

Ordered the ivory MC-1 bed back in July but received the green version two months later. I’ve emailed several times (4–5 times over the past month) asking for the incorrect item to be collected and exchanged for the one I ordered, but haven’t received any response.

Ironically, when I was first shopping for a bed, they replied to my questions within hours. It seems the responsiveness ends once they have your money. I eventually managed to reach Kasper by phone—apparently the owner/founder and seemingly the only person running the company, who said he would sort it out, that was 10 days ago. Unfortunately, the customer service has been pretty terrible to non existent

At this point I just want to return the bed (still in its box, never opened) and get a refund. Not worth the hassel

Company does not pay their invoices

This company does not pay their invoices. The head of operations (Frida Madsen) placed an order with my printing company and then never paid. I emailed several times with no response. Even after emailing back and forth and claiming to "not have the details" which were always there from the beginning on the invoice, they still do not pay and act as if everything is a misunderstanding. Frankly, it's embarrassing that a company cannot pay an invoice of less than 4 000 kr.

Promises Not Kept – Disappointing So Far

I ordered a ReFramed bed after personally reaching out to their support to confirm the delivery timeline. Based on clear communication from their team, I was told the item was in stock and would be delivered within the next week (ordered on a Friday). That promise is what made me place the order immediately.

Unfortunately, the reality has been different. Over a week later, I still haven’t received the bed — or even a proper shipping confirmation. I’ve followed up multiple times and received vague or delayed responses. I was later told my order had to wait because other customers who ordered earlier were being prioritized — which makes me wonder why I was told it would ship right away in the first place.

I understand that delays happen, especially with newer brands. But what’s frustrating is the lack of honest, consistent communication. I actively tried to avoid this exact situation by checking in advance. If they had simply said there might be a delay, I would have understood. But making promises that aren’t kept — and then going quiet — leaves a bad impression.

I’m still hoping the product itself will be worth it and I’ll update this review once it arrives. But for now, I wouldn’t recommend relying on the delivery estimates without written confirmation and a good amount of patience.

Lovely design and super easy to mount

Lovely design and super easy to mount

Despite the delays due to the fact that it was the first production batch, the bed arrived in 3 packages. Super easy to mount with very clear instructions. It has a super robust steel construction whilst having a very light design making it float over the bedroom floor. I am super happy with my purchase.

Asked for Refund after 6 months delay

As mentioned in my previous Trustpilot review, our new MC1-Bed has been delayed for around six months now because of they are having problems regarding producing the beds with the manufacturers. Despite multiple attempts to contact the company, we received more delays and no updates—until today, when I left a comment on their Instagram post.

They removed my comment from the instagram post (though I can still see it while others cannot—Cheeky), and shortly after, we finally received an email update. Unfortunately, they informed us that they still won’t be able to deliver our bed.

This entire ordeal has wasted six months of our time, and we’ve had to put off hosting friends and family because of it. Even if we were willing to wait longer, it’s clear this wouldn’t end in success. And even if they did manage to deliver the bed eventually, their constant talk about “trying to deliver high standards on the new bed frames” has made us skeptical—what if the quality turns out to be poor, leaving us with even more regret?

I want to warn anyone considering buying from ReFramed—this company is a rubbish, sugar-coated almost a scam. They hide behind sleek branding, fancy Instagram posts, and the support of trendy design circles in Shoreditch, UK and probably same in Denmark or elsewhere. But I strongly recommend that you do not purchase anything from them.

We have now requested a refund, and I can only hope they’ll handle that quickly so we can finally buy a bed elsewhere.

It’s not in our nature to be negative online, but this experience needs to be shared so others are aware.

Note: For my previous review on Trustpilot, the Founder of ReFramed, Kasper, responded publicly, asking me to get in touch with him. I sent him a direct email—but unsurprisingly, I never heard back. That alone speaks volumes about this company’s weak values and why they should not be trusted.

Not worth the price

I've had this bed frame for over a year now, and despite being so attracted by its minimalist design, using it has made me change my mind. First red flag was with the slats, that don't lock in place but are just put on top of the frame - this for me is the biggest design flaw, as every time I make the bed (fitting the sheets under the mattress) these slats move everywhere and you end up having them over half the frame, definitely could use a locking in place mechanism!!
Recently, the whole frame came apart when making the bed, as when I moved it one of the screws that are supposed to lock up gave up; for a "forever bed" this is quite an unexpected experience, I honestly just regret having spent so much when for a tenth of the price I could've gotten something of the same quality, probably even better. The delivery experience was also not the best

Not for happy couples

I ordered a bed, and the delivery was quick, and the bed looked stunning. However, after the first lovemaking session, the middle leg of the bed broke. The company didn’t respond to my email or messages on social media regarding how to repair or replace it. A year later, we had a new leg built ourselves, but now, every time we have sex, the entire bed frame comes loose from the fixings, and we end up finishing on the floor. Visually, the bed still looks great, though.

Doesn’t matter how sexy the bed is, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

My experience was disastrous from the very beginning. Please read it even if it’s very long i have TLDR at the end.

1) They started doing a sample sale with a 45% discount that you could access only through emailing. I email them. No response. I email again on the last day of the sample day. No response. I write in dm on IG to them and get a response 48hrs later. They say the sample beds are all soldout but they’re happy to offer me a 20% discount for a new one. Sweet! I purchase the bed on 24/09/24. Mind you it clearly stated (and still does on their website on basically all beds) DELIVERY time: One Week.

2) a couple of days go by and no shipping email nor tracking info neither from them nor GLS courier. But what do i receive? An email saying sample beds are back! At -45%! I felt like i was clearly ripped off and made fun of but didn’t want to argue for a “mere” -25% more discount.

3) on 01/10/24, one full week from order confirmation i email about my shipping status. They respond same day (basically the only time it happened) saying the bed had shipped last night (exact word they used) on 30/09/24. But that it could take 24hrs to receive tracking. Sweet, i wait.

4) after 48hrs i email again: no tracking in sight. No response. 5 days more later i email AGAIN on 07/10/24 asking about shipping info and tracking. They will finally respond only on 08/10/24. After i even had to look for their Whatsapp number on their site, ONLY THEN they finally respond.

5) and what do they say? That the bed yes had shipped on 30/09/24 and because of a warehouse error i didnt receive tracking and they finally give me tracking. TWO codes for tracking, without even explaining why there are two and without telling me anything about the package actual location. It had been 15 days from order time. 15 days.

6) at this point i check the tracking codes and what do i discover? That NONE OF THEM HAD ACTUALLY SHIPPED UNTIL THAT VERY MOMENT. I immediately emailed back saying i was basically been made fun of again, did they just email those tracking without expecting me to look them up and discover i had been played around for two weeks? The audacity! I also asked why two packages and if there could be a possibility of one of them reaching me before the other, guess what? Absolutely no response. Straight up ghosting both email and whatsapp. Of course i said i’d be writing this review. Guess they didn’t care at all.

Great way to value a customer who just spent 1500 euros in your small business! (They said that being a small business is hard boohoo and that they’re very sorry when they sent the trackings)

7) today, on 11/10/24 guess what happened? Exactly i received only one of the two packages and it is only the slats of the bed.
I am speechless. I re arranged all my house to accomodate for the new bed (“delivery time: ONE WEEK”) and have been sleeping on the floor for over a week and will have to do so at least for 4 more days because there is a weekend in between. While my new bed parts are still belgium.

8) yes i wrote them again and i am awaiting a response but this has gotten way way too ridicoulus, i’m fed up with the lying and the audacity of a “small brand” straight up lying and treating they’re customers like whatever when they’re spending 1500 euros on an aluminium bed and some wood slats. Insane.

TLDR:
They lie on the delivery times. They take ages to response and customer service lies to you again about shipping statuses. They refuse to acknowledge they’re wrongdoings.
The courier they use is terrible and splits packages in multiple deliveries on different days. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They’ll surely go out of business if they keep pulling these stunts and they totally deserve it.
Spend your money in a place that values you and doesn’t lie to you multiple times at face value.

UPDATE: The bed was finally delivered on 17/10/24, 17 working days later or 23 days from order.

The bed quality is good i have nothing bad to say about that, minor thing is that it is not explained how the slats are supposed to be installed in the instructions manual (which btw it's accessed through a QR code, no physical copy) but it's easy to figure it out on your own.

In response to their response to this review:

1) language has been harsh but without ever being insulting or personal, waiting 5+ days for responses after spending 1500 euros kinda makes u do that, I do not feel like i've had a bad experience, i have had a terrible experience there is no sugar-coating it

2) all my "accusations" were substantiated by facts and screenshots, coming from their previous emails or communications or courier trackings

3) i don't feel like a call on the phone would have made things better. The "Full Credit" they offered just meant i had to deny the delivery of the bed so it would have been sent back, granting me a refund. An option i had in any case as my EU customer's right.

We’re of course sad that you feel you’ve had a bad experience with us - and we’ve tried our very best to support you through this. Firstly, yes our sample sale responds from our community was overwhelming, which led to longer waits in email replies as we’re still a small team.
The sample sales were for a few colours and sizes - and the size you enquired about what out of stock. We therefore went out of our way to offer you a 20% discount - something that we don’t normally do - to make you a happy customer.

In terms of the wait, I’m of course really sorry that your bed was shipped 7 days later than promised. Two mistakes happened here - our 3PL said all orders were dispatched on time, something we communicated to you - this was mistake number 1. And we never manually followed up to check that everything had gone out on your order - that’s mistakes number 2.

Now, we’ve tried calling you to explain this, but without luck. We’ve also offered a full credit on the order.

During our dialouge, your language has been quite harsh, and some strong accusations have been made. Something that we won’t tolerate at ReFramed. I therefore wasn’t too surprised to see this review from you. But as I mentioned over our What’s App correspondence - I really hope that you’ll love the bed as much as we do, so that we can put all of this behind you.

We’re only here because of our community, something you’re now a part of - and despite this review, we value your support for our brand. Perhaps you can even see yourself upgrade this review one day, as a 7 day delay shouldn’t ruin the excitement of a new bed for life.
