A joke

Renewal email went to spam, so the policy auto renewed without me knowing.
They will not let you cancel over the phone, you have to fill in an online form. After that they never get back to you and keep your money.

Claim paid

Cheap and easy to purchase. I have used them for years, not really knowing how good they are because I'd never needed to make a claim before. This month did submit a claim for scratched wheel rims that the car hire company charged me for. The claim process was simple enough. It was clear what documents needed to be submitted and took maybe 10 minutes to organise and send. I received an email within 3 business days advising that were settling the claim and the money was in my account 2 days later. I will continue to use them.

I’ve just purchased a cover

I’ve just purchased a cover, highly recommended by a friend. I hope I’ll never need to make a claim however if that happens I hope the process with ReduceMyExcess will go smoothly.

ReduceMyExcess Excellent

I hate the extras that car hire companies suggest when you get to the desk - unreasonably expensive. Annual cover seems the way to go. I hired a car from Budget in Ireland and had a tiny windscreen chip sprung on me for which they charged €1,300! I went through the simple ReduceMyExcess process and had the excess paid into my account swiftly. I've switched to annual renewal now (and I get a loyalty discount).

Simple and straight-forward.

Seemed like a reasonable price for sufficient coverage to overcome the pitfalls of not taking out considerably more expensive car rental company's insurance policies. Simple forms and all done quickly. Thankfully we didn't have to claim anything so cannot attest to what happens in the event of something going wrong, but taking out the policy was easy.

I had hoped to change the names of the…

I had hoped to change the names of the nominated drivers on my policy. Had I done this ahead of the automated renewal I expect it would of been quickly sorted. Now, after automated renewal and transfer of funds, I am into the region of, we are experiencing high workloads etc. They will get back to me when an operative finds time. So, not, premium service imo.
