I booked this through Boots, which I'd always thought a respected and trustworthy UK brand. I was forced to pay for the tests up front before I could book a place and date, but I proceeded as I tr... See more

Day 2 kit not arrived.
We are group of 7, ordered Day 2 kit on same day. Only 3 received. No contact details available to find out where are missing kits.

After 40 mins wait. Get replacement kit ordered.
Lets see what happen.
Boots Day 2 - terrible service: "inconclusive"
Like several other people on this site I've had a similar experience. Ordered two tests (for me and son), only one arrived within the 2 day window - still waiting on one and now on day 3 of arriving back from travel.
For the test that was sent off, the test was clearly negative, the "result" from Boots was inconclusive - I took the photo on the form they provided, wrote my number on the form, had the image capture the correct area with the test itself sitting in the right place.
So, Boots want me to order another test. I'm not doing it because I don't feel another £21 is justifiable for this terrible service - especially as I'm still waiting for one testing kit that I've not even received.
DON'T BUY THIS SERVICE FROM BOOTS
boots lateral flow recova
i had the same issue listed by other reviews , wouldn't accept the QR code entered manually or as a photo, Thankfully boots sent duplicate tests by mistake and the second one uploaded , quite a hassle and the instructions aren't clear as it asked for QR/ barcode so when it didn't work i tried entering the barcode on the box, obviously they have an issue with some qr codes not being registered correctly
unable to upload photos.
As many others have stated I am unable to upload my results. I am unable to take the photo of the results.
Tried also to upload the QR code barcode manually after getting the info from a QR code app but still no luck!
Rubbish App.
Useless Boots covid app
I have read all 18 pages of mainly 1star reviews and agree with all of them based on my experience. The app is totally funtionless. The bar code will not scan and it does not recognise the manually entered bar code. This makes it impossible to proceed to the conclusion and send off your results. When are the authorities going to take Boots to task over this issue.
complete waste of money
complete waste of money, cannot enter barcode cannot enter result, cannot speak to anyone on phone, have taken pics of results to save in case any issues
Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless, dont waste your money. My husband and I bought the tests and are still awaiting the results two weeks later. Boots won’t answer the phone, the re ova number gives two options and neither are about the test. Boots have a useless robot who gives you the number to call. Phoned for 47 minutes then it cut off. £68 each we paid for nothing, not even an inconclusive, no email, no results found on Recova site that I registered with. Total money scam.
Day 2 test - Be careful with the instructions
Initially I took the first test and came inconclusive, the reason why is because I took the photo without placing the test on the leaflet that comes with the kit nor writing the booking ref number. Hence make sure that you place the test in the section of the leaflet called “photo capture area”. I did purchased a second kit, took the test and followed the instructions. After 10 min the results came negative.
Worked fine for me
Noted comments on this and NHS site about copying number generated by QR and pasting on form rather than scanning QR directly. Followed instructions on taking test and made sure photo taken in good light. Negative on strip and confirmed negative couple hours later.
Boots is inconclusive
The app keeps on crashing my phone. I managed to upload a photo on my pc. The photo is CLEARLY negative, but boots say it is inconclusive.
Don’t choose Recova 19!
I chose Boots because I thought it would be very reliable so worth paying a bit more for it.
It was very clearly negative but the result came with inconclusive. I tried to find a voucher code for free re-test, but couldn’t find it anywhere!
I should have read the reviews first.
Cannot upload photo
Cannot upload photo, wish i had read these reviews before purchasing
Recova 19 is aweful Don't buy from Boots
Really Really Sh%-t !! because the software fails on upload of the 2nd party member's negative test photo image it concludes that the test is 'inconclusive' and orders you to get a free 2nd test! but this takes 2 days at least to arrive! no help function no chance for feedback.
Clearly negative test
Clearly negative test, but recova says positive. There's no way to reach them to rectify. Terrible service
Absolute waste of time and money
Absolute waste of time and money. Unable to upload results. Good job it was negative. Took pictures of result for future reference.
Terrible hard to use system
This is a terrible system and very difficult to use. The instructions are complicated and badly worded.
Inputting the results is mind blowing and took me 2 hours. I eventually had to buy a qr reader then type in the multi digit code on the opened gr code twice. Boots should do better than this.
Useless
Useless! The test never arrived!!
I’ve been back from holiday for nearly a week (ordered prior to going away for 1x week). As a backup, I’ve used a free lateral test from Boots (in store) and taken a photo (date stamped) of negative result for future reference, if required.
£21.00 down the drain!!!
Avoid - don’t waste your time nor your money!
I think anybody who got an inconclusive…
I think anybody who got an inconclusive result when it was very clearly negative should receive a full refund. The test my partner took was very clear, she had to pay for another test and did not get a refund, a couple of days later two tests arrived in the post.
It’s a shambles!!!!!!
Like everyone else THIS HAS BEEN AN…
Like everyone else THIS HAS BEEN AN APPALLING EXPERIENCE ! Wish I’d read the reviews before choosing Boots…we know where we are with them…my husband said…
Just cannot see how to upload the photos on the Portal…Hughes comes up as not accessible ..what on Earth is it all about..and does it matter when they are both negative?
At least we have the photos to prove it .
