I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Real Genius. I was in the middle of a refinance with another company that had dragged on far too long and was riddled with issues, delays, and poor communication. I was frustrated and honestly skeptical that switching lenders so close to the holidays would work.

Then I spoke with Matt. From the very first call, he was calm, confident, and reassuring—despite the fact that I was initiating the process just one week before Christmas. He walked me through everything clearly on the phone, laid out exactly what would be needed, and set expectations around timing that, frankly, sounded almost too good to be true.

And somehow, they exceeded them.

The Real Genius team was incredibly responsive and proactive, even through the holidays. They reached out promptly when they needed information, communicated clearly at every step, and worked seamlessly—even on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. At a couple of points, the process was so smooth and efficient that I actually double-checked to make sure it wasn’t a scam.

We submitted the application on 12/17 and closed on 12/30. Unbelievable.

On top of that, the interest rate was significantly lower than any other quote I had received. The combination of speed, transparency, responsiveness, and value was unmatched.

From our first interaction until our closing (and beyond), Rod provided total accessibility at all hours of the day, even weekends, to answer our many questions, and guide us through every aspect of our home purchasing process. His responsiveness to emails and phone calls is unmatched! When we hit some snags throughout the process, Rod had our backs and worked diligently to provide clarification and to represent our best interests. I have already referred our close family friend to him because he made the process so much easier for us. We have only positive things to say about our many interactions with him! I have worked with Dean Fiore and Real Genius Team. They have given me honest feedback and the best mortgage plan that suits my requirement. I had an ok experience applying for the loan, upon closing I realized the buydown rate was not used to estimate my first payment or subsequent payment of the life of the buydown. I reached out to the rep I dealt with and she informed me everyone has been fired and no amount of calls or voicemails are being returned. This is awful considering money was spent on this buydown. Now I'm stuck with having to either pay without the buydown or risk running into more problems for an error not made by me. This is a shame.
