User friendly

It is a very easy platform to use. I have on occasion had to contact customer services, I have found them very helpful. I think I have been using Raisin for around 2 years now, but have invested with other simular platforms in the past, Raisin in my opinion is the most user friendly, and would recommend it to friends and family.

Missing money and Uncontactable

I have had a number of Fixed term accounts and Easy access accounts with Raisin for years.
I recently closed one Easy access account and withdrew £3500.00 from another Easy access account and also had a 3 year fixed term account mature, all around the same date. However, the amount of cash available for me to withdraw was short £1802.47
I have emailed several times and had no response in more than a week
I have tried phoning several times, but have been on hold forever
The app has no option for sending secure messages, only a general "help" email address that hasn't been replied to, despite several emails from me.

Please note that different products pay interest and return funds in different ways, for example annually or at maturity, and this can sometimes make the total amount received appear different from expectations. Full details of how each product pays interest are outlined in the Product Information Sheet and terms provided at the time of application.

Don't Trust This Organisation With Your Money

Been trying to change my Nominated Bank Account (required to withdraw funds) for the past week. Three attempts to change online have been futile -- their website will not recognise the sort code, despite this belonging to one of the big 4 UK banks. Therefore been communicating via secure message and phone calls, to get the necessary change implemented. Secure messages are generally ignored. Information provided in phone calls has been wrong. Problem has been passed from one department to another. Raisin now insists that the change cannot be made until I provide a copy of a bank statement (for a new bank account that has only been open for a day or two??) when I already provided a copy of a letter containing all the information Raisin required; besides, my bank statement is none of Raisin's business. Shocking level of customer service. I've been a customer for many years with a mixture of fixed term bonds and easy access savings. At the earliest opportunity, I'll be withdrawing every penny and saving with a different provider as Raisin has totally lost my trust.

Excellent professional service

After an understandably long wait on the phone the gentleman to whom I spoke was most helpful, patient and guided me through how to close an account then transfer the money to my bank account. He was very clear in his instructions and spoke very clearly. A very professional process. Thank you.

Watch them

Watch them! Raisin is not a bank ,they hold your money until you decide where you want to get the best interest,and when you want to withdraw your funds,you have to chase them on the phone as their website is not very clear on how you get your money back to your own nominated account.Fortunately one of their staff was very helpful.Unfortunately I lost two days interest. Scam?

To clarify, Raisin UK is a regulated savings marketplace. Customers first select their chosen savings product, then transfer funds into their Raisin UK Transaction Account in order to complete the application. Once the funds arrive, they are forwarded to the selected savings product so they can start earning interest in line with the product terms. The Transaction Account is used to transfer money between your nominated bank account and your selected savings product, and again when funds return following a withdrawal, closure or maturity.

When funds return to the Transaction Account, they can then be withdrawn to your nominated bank account. These withdrawals are processed immediately on our side, with the time to reach your bank depending on the receiving bank’s processing times.

We’re always working to make the platform as user-friendly as possible. If you ever need help navigating your account or withdrawing funds, our Customer Service team will be happy to assist, and you can also find step-by-step guidance in the FAQs on our website.

Found the system quite clunky and some…

Found the system quite clunky and some things are quite tedious to do. For example if you want to switch banks you have extract the money, and you can’t take it all out unless you force a close on the account, then await, then you have to post it to the new account. It’s also difficult to find transaction reports and there are large number of communications that you get which are not always that useful.

Depending on the product type, it may be possible to withdraw part of the balance, but this varies by account and the withdrawal options are set out in the product information provided during the selection process.

Zero customer support and communication…

They provide a simple and easy to use platform but fail miserably when you need to speak with them. Have used their messaging service within the app and no reply received. Be warned they are extremely slow to return funds on a cancelled product (done during 14 day cool off).

Please note that not all savings products on the Raisin UK platform offer a 14-day cooling-off period. Whether a product can be cancelled or ended early is set out in the Product Information Sheet and the product terms provided at the time of application. Some fixed-term deposits do not allow early termination outside exceptional circumstances.

In this case, the product you selected does not include a cooling-off period. This means a cancellation request cannot be processed. The funds therefore remain invested in the fixed-term product in line with its terms.

We note that you contacted us yesterday, and we can confirm that we have now replied with further details via the secure message system in your Raisin UK Account. We always aim to respond as quickly as possible, and while most queries are answered promptly, response times can occasionally be longer during periods of higher demand.

Raisin UK is NOT PROTECTED by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Raisin UK is a trading name of Raisin Platforms Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRNs 813894 and 978619)

A Firm Reference Number (FRN) is a unique six or seven-digit identifier assigned by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to authorized financial services firms in the UK. It serves as an official identifier on the "Financial Services Register" to prove a firm is authorised to conduct regulated business.

THE two FRNs numbers from the Raisin UK website have QUESTION MARKS. (FRNs 813894 and 978619)

FRNs 813894 NOTHING COMES UP
FRNs 978619 IS NOT PROTECTED.

go to the fscs.org.uk website and check to see if your money is protected.

Trustpilot reviews prevents anyone from entering a full URL/link for the fscs website

ONLY ClearBank Limited (FRN:754568) IS PROTECTED. But this Firm Reference Number FRN:754568 is NOT on the Raisin UK website. ONLY (FRNs 813894 and 978619) are.

All this raises BIG RED FLAGS. A company like Raisin UK should not have these issues/ flags when they need to earn customer trust!!!

We are a savings marketplace, not a bank. Raisin UK is an intermediary platform that connects you to various partner banks. Because we are not a bank ourselves, we do not hold your deposits directly.

What our specific FRNs mean: The two FRNs on our website (813894 and 978619) are our Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) registration numbers. They officially authorise us to operate as a platform for investment and payment services.

Where your money actually sits (and is protected): This is where ClearBank comes in. When you fund your Raisin UK account, your money sits in a Transaction Account provided by our partner, ClearBank Limited (FRN: 754568). ClearBank is a fully licensed UK bank, which is exactly why they appear on the FSCS register. Your money is 100% FSCS-protected while it sits in that ClearBank account.

Protection with Partner Banks: When you choose to move your money from your ClearBank Transaction Account into a specific savings product on our marketplace, it then becomes protected under the FSCS license (or European equivalent) of that specific partner bank. Once I got used to the proceedures

Once I got used to the proceedures, I enjoyed the stay...will probably return (some funds) at some point ...currently chasing those fractions of a % - that be elsewhere ATM. Customer service has always been spot on for me, that`s reassuring.
