Restarted my breakdown cover without asking
The Car insurance was OK, but they restarted my breakdown cover, and charged me £75, which I'd cancelled 3 years previously, dreadful behaviour.

Easy to sort and at a much better price than my previous insurer who, using automatic renewal, were going to greatly increase the cost to me for no reason and way beyond inflation.

Misleading pricing and poor communications AI
I used RAC online insurance for my car. I received a quote of £315, however the price when I paid was £342. I made no changes or upgrades.
The online AI help reluctantly and eventually put me through to live chat with the Customer Service Team. The service team eventually decided that I needed to telephone the RAC Sales Team as they couldn't access the quote I had been sent, no my offer to forward it on.
It took a long time on line to get nowhere.
I still don't know the answer to my question about the price increase.
Not the best experience and my policy doesn't start for another week.
I had hoped that the RAC's communications would be better than this.

Once you go ahead to purchase, any add-ons you wish to include such as No Claims Discount Protection or Motor Legal Protection e.g. the final price will be shown before you go ahead and pay.
However we have been unable to locate your policy so cannot confirm if this is the case for yourself. If you would like us to investigate this further, please email your policy number to socialresponders@bglgroup.co.uk and our team will be in touch.

Insurance issue
Your office left me potentially uninsured. You sent me a letter saying you had tried to call me but nobody knew anything about it in the help centre.
Your admin and call centre procedures are time consuming.
Your habit of producing 'no reply' responses to emails is particularly irritating.
1 star - and I am a fan of the RAC!
