Pulse Light Clinic always make me feel comfortable. They also do an amazing job when it comes to making me aware of aftercare, I appreciate them educating me about the process. This clinic never fail to answer my questions and I really appreciate that.

I purchased an 8 session package for full legs, extended bikini, perianal, and underarm. I have had one patch test and treatment session thus far. There were some initial miscommunications between customer service and the clinic around the patch testing and package contents, but I believe this has all now been resolved.

They seem knowledgeable and professional thus far. Make sure you read up on expectations beforehand. You should not shave before the patch test. They are very serious about avoiding sun exposure in treatment areas for 2 weeks after and 6 weeks before any treatment. If you are exposed to the sun, you will have to do another patch test. This is good as maximises the efficacy of treatment and reduces the risk of side effects such as burns. They also understand well the need to avoid areas with fine, light hairs, as treatment can “activate” these (paradoxical hypertrichosis). Therefore, at my patch test, I was advised to leave my upper thighs unshaven so that the practitioner could see where to treat at my first appointment.

At my first appointment, the practitioner marked the areas to treat with a white pencil. They took photos for future reference as I was asked to shave all areas fully before any following appointments. The treatment can be slightly painful, especially on bonier areas, but the jet of cooling air used in conjunction with the laser helps with this. After treatment, I was told not apply deodorant for 24 hours and to not use hot water on the treated areas for 48 hours (warm water was okay).

In terms of results, it has been 3 weeks since my treatment. Growth in my underarms has reduced quite a bit. My legs I have shaved since (you cannot use any hair removal methods that pull out hair from the root after starting treatment), so it is harder to tell, but there is perhaps a little less hair. My bikini line I also shaved since, but I noticed that the darker, coarse hairs here seemed to “fall out” easily upon exfoliation around 1 week after treatment (you shouldn’t exfoliate immediately after treatment as the skin is still sensitive).

One improvement could be allowing customers to book multiple appointments at once. For example, allowing them to book a patch test and following appointment for a few days later at the same time, with the proviso that you would cancel the appointment if you experienced any side effects in the 48 hours following the patch test.

Spent £2100 on pico lazer with less result than using creams for malasma. Was encouraged to book more sessions after my sixth session even though it was obvious it wasn’t working. They just wanted money and didn’t care about the results !

Got a free laser removal but it did nothing and didnt even scar or anything like it would normally

OUTRAGEOUS money grab! If you want to be taken advanced of Pulse Light Clinic is your place. I get IPL/BBL about twice a year as maintenance - wherever I am in the world. I just called up and they said I have to buy a package which I don’t need. So they quoted me £500 for one session of BBL!!! What a scam. I have had both lasers (IPL & BBL) in Japan, US, Italy, France and the UK so I know pricing of both and yes BBL is more expensive it certainly isn’t £500 anywhere except I guess Pulse Light Clinic! This place is a total RIP OFF - stay away or at the very least do a google search and call around for much better prices !!!!!

After a hiccup with another practitioner I had Amy (Monument/Bank branch) who took over my Picosure sessions. I cannot thank her enough for the way she has looked after me everytime I have visited her. If it was not for her I would have gone elsewhere but she really did turn the experience around for me. I hope the clinic and their management reward her for her hard and caring work. I will be coming back for some more sessions later in the year but only with Amy. Absolutely recommend her 1000%. I am very grateful to her. After 5 sessions of Picosure I can definitely see an improvement and would highly recommend for Melasma issues.
