This has to be the worst of all the auction sites I have dealt with. It is the worst users friendly site I have ever dealt with with auctions. I hope these auction sites are making bank because people buying hate this site. Proxibid do better

my main source

I see a lot of bad reviews...I've bought from several Proxibid auctions with no problems.
READ THE RULES!!
I will say though that I do not bid on the auctions that go live.
Watching three auctions now!

I found the perfect engagement ring for…

I found the perfect engagement ring for my woman.
24k retail. I prebid 5k but it wasnt enough to meet the "threshold". At auction it sold for 10k. The ring was listed on proxibid 3 days later. This entire website is just jewelery companies bidding on their own merch and waiting for folks to start a bidding war. Never leave a prebid on this website.

I bid on items through proxibid on Feb 8th. During the end of the auction I had put in my last bid and was going to win 2 of the auctions when additional time was added to the auctions! Not once but multiple times! I stopped bidding because I don't play that game. I had another 8 auctions that I was going to bid on but didn't because of the other 2 items that they added time to! I have done multiple auctions with other sites and never ever had this happen. Very strange auction behavior. researching the site none of this was mentioned. Plus when I signed up they charged my credit card a $1. And after the auction started they pulled off one of the items I was bidding on because the seller wanted to keep it. I do not recommend proxibid as a buyer nor would I every use them as a seller!

Caveat Emptor

This website is atrocious. when it gets down to the final times you are never able to update bids. It locks out every time. When you try to refresh, no matter what system you are using it takes for ever to reload. The system is poor. I have even been involved in auctions where they had to stop and restart the system. But the customer service is even more pathetic. Do not use them if you don't have to.

Is Proxibid a dinosaur?

I'm not surprised their review rating is 2.8, a dismal indication of an increasing lack of concern and care for the customer experience. A 2.8 rating tells an undeniable story: A lack of concern to remedy flagrant, ongoing problems and a total disregard for providing good customer service. It is a scorching testament to the rot within leadership and company culture.
Thankfully, there is an increasing number of online auction platform alternatives attuned to taking care of their customers.
There is a reason there are no dinosaurs today.

Don't waste your time …

They will offer your lot to the onsite bidders for your max bid. Example high bid $300 with a max of $325 before auction even starts. Sold for $325 to onsite bidder. And it's happened twice in 2 days. See pics. Happened atleast 8 times this year. Was last straw. Auction houses blames Proxibid and I have to believe it because it doesn't happen with any of the other online sites I use. I would definitely recommend Maxsold.com, Hibid, Auction Ninja and Grafe, all honest. Wish I could add pics here, but did add pics on Yelp if interested.

Very shady company and never fair

I’ve spent over $10,000 on Proxibid auctions and never had any major issues until recently. I had one dispute with a seller who refused to help with shipping on a low-value item, and instead of working with me, Proxibid immediately put a black flag on my account. That means I can’t bid anywhere on their platform, even though I’ve always paid and supported sellers in the past.

It feels like Proxibid automatically sides with sellers, regardless of the buyer’s history or the situation. Their support is slow, unhelpful, and not interested in resolving things fairly. Instead of protecting both sides, they punish loyal buyers and ruin the trust that makes auction platforms work.

If you’re considering using Proxibid, be careful one bad experience can completely shut down your account, no matter how much you’ve invested. There are plenty of better-run auction sites that treat customers with more fairness and respect.

This site lags badly

This site lags badly. Lots of glitches, too. Little to no customer support. Can't view all catalogue pics after auction closed like we did before. Can barely connect. Their website isn't optimized.

ProxiBid - Online Auction Fun

I have been buying a wide variety of antiques, vintage and collectibles through ProxiBid for many years. All of my transactions have been A+++++. I have enjoyed the ease of
searching for online auctions. ProxiBid provides a great experience with ease of bidding the subsequent invoice paying. As ProxiBid says, if you can't find it on Proxibid you're not going to find it!!! So go to ProxiBid and have fun bidding! Good luck!!1

Ripoff and waste of time and money

The auction the were putting on their site said they did shipping so i bid. Then afterwards it became we dont ship. Find your own shipper they said from 2000 miles away. Proxibid as usual Says "its not us" but well check it out and get back to you. which they never did. Itf
The place told the truth and said no shipping i would not have bid. And proxibid wants to run a business with no rules for auctioneers and no liability of their own, all they do is present it and no fault whatever happens. Waste of money.

PROXIBID IS INFERIOR

I used Proxibid to make pre-bids on an auction that I couldn't attend or watch online, Bid on two lots. One lot sold to an onsite bidder for the same amount as my pre-bid. Other lot sold below my pre-bid to onsite bidder. Calls to Proxibid were useless. Proxibid said that onsite auctioneer had discretion to ignore Proxibid pre-bids or online bids (Proxibids are inferior to onsite bidder). So why does Proxibid even exist? Proxibids customer service didn't try to tell me that any mistake was made or offer any apologizes, agent just insisted that it is standard poiicy that Proxibids were inferior to onsite bids at the discretion to onsite auctioneer. So once again, Why does Proxibid even exist.
