For misleading membership subscriptions being 'signed up' after paying a $1 for a record search and info I feel the company does not give that explanation clearly and honestly. This causes persons much grief when finding out they are being charged every month ($20 was my charge). In the end, once I caught this, I used the chat on their site and was amazingly refunded every payment. Mind you I did not catch this for 2 years (my fault and lesson learned not reviewing credit card statements). I was 100% refunded in under 5 minutes. Would I use this site again? Yes, but I will be very OCD with reading all the legal blah blah that we all tend to over look. I was working on family genealogy brick wall, thus my use of the site . . . only once. I give 5 stars because in the end they were incredible.

Unexpected reoccurring charges….$20 Twice a month. SCAM. Be careful. UPDATE: Following this post, I was contacted and issued a refund of fees. I appreciated that. Watch your credit card bill and don’t hesitate to contact them if there is a problem. They will help.

Lack of billing transparency. You have no idea what you are being billed for until you get the bill. This bill, via subscription, will continue until you unsubscribe. This practice offsets their positive results in my opinion.

surprise charge of a "subscription" which was flagged by my bank. i was able to ask for a refund and as that was granted, i am pleased.
