- We fully understand the frustrations you are feeling under the current situation due to the steep increase in prices. Energy markets have hit record highs which have caused major problems across the energy industry. We trust the following provides some reasoning for the increases: CNG forward bought your gas usage when the wholesale market was considerably lower than today, this enabled you to be on the rate you were previously on. Unfortunately, when CNG went into administration these hedges / forward purchases ended. The knock-on effect of this is that Pozitive Energy inherited your supply at the current market rate which is significantly higher. After a rigorous tender process Pozitive Energy was appointed the “supplier of last resort” (SoLR) During this process deemed / out of contract prices were strictly agreed with Ofgem As Pozitive Energy was appointed the supplier of last resort no hedges could be put in place as you have no contract with us, therefore the current market rate is applicable. Unfortunately, the rate you were previously on to the rate you are on now is significantly more, however, we are forced to buy and supply you at these rates. Our fixed term contracts are far more competitive than our deemed pricing and we would encourage everyone to get in touch with our Customer Care team to discuss a fixed term contract with us. Willy Coutinho was polite and helpful. He listened carefully as I explained an earlier problem. Although we paid monthly by Direct Debit, we were told we were in debt by over £1,000 and had been referred to a debt recovery firm, Fulmar Services. We were told they would take us to court in order to obtain a warrant to enter our premises (St Peter's Church Ellesmere in Sheffield) which was quite unnecessary. The other problem is that although our electricity meter is a Smart Meter we are still being asked to take readings and phone them in. Thank you, Willy.

Don't try and sell your business
Don't try and sell your business and move out. They wont allow it even if you tell them weeks (months) in advance and supply all the necessary documents. They will insist the new owner takes a contract with them (which is surely against the law). Truly awful customer service. Avoid at all costs.

Where a business has been sold or a new occupier has taken over the premises, we are required to complete a Change of Tenancy (COT) before transferring liability. To process this, we require supporting documentation, including the outgoing occupier's forwarding address, a signed lease agreement, business rates, business insurance, proof of business transaction, written confirmation from the landlord, and identification documents.
Once the required information is received, we will verify the documentation and process the Change of Tenancy.
