Rude and not helpful staf member.

One star due to very poor customer service from one staff member.
There is an older male employee who is consistently rude and tries to pressure customers into paying for next-day delivery, even when it’s not needed. This makes the experience very uncomfortable.I’ve also had issues with parcels when served by him. Recently, I sent a 24-hour tracked parcel from Erith and a 48-hour tracked parcel from Plumstead. The 48-hour parcel arrived on time, but the 24-hour one is still stuck on “dispatched” with no updates.Never had any problems when served by other staff members, who are polite and helpful. Unfortunately, this one employee creates a very negative experience.I will be raising this through the official complaints process.

Total scam

I posted my documents with registered post to complete my DBS, they lost my drivers licence. My claim was never heard. Sent all the evidence, they say it has already been resolved. What a scam!

Unreasonable delays and lack of communication

I am very disappointed with the handling of my claim.
The process has taken over 3.5 months, with repeated delays and a lack of clear communication. I had to follow up multiple times just to receive updates, and at one point I was incorrectly informed that a third party had not responded, which I later confirmed was not the case.
Although my claim has now been assessed, there has still been a delay in payment despite providing all requested details promptly.
This situation has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves both communication and processing times for future customers.

We sent a birthday card to our son in…

We sent a birthday card to our son in Perth Australia. It was weighed and we paid the correct postage at our local post office. It was posted in good time, 2 weeks before his birthday and were told that it would be there in 7 days. IT TOOK OVER A MONTH! I don't know if it was Royal Mail or Australian mail but it really was bad.

It's a shame really as the woman who delivers our local mail is amazing. Always delivers with a smile and in all weathers. What a pity that the service isn't consistent or that there are not more people like her working for Royal Mail.

Very poor customer service at this branch. Staff were rude, unhelpful, and came across as aggressive instead of assisting with a simple request. The whole experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I would not recommend this location.

Very Helpful

I needed to return a piece of medical equipment but I didn’t have any packaging. They provided reasonably priced Jiffy bag and wrote the delivery details, for the Post Office 24 hour tracking which I was so pleased about as I have a tremor and my hand writing is a bit shaky. Definitely 5 star service !

❌ Misleading information and wasted journey…

I needed to renew my driving licence, so I contacted Barnwood Post Office 📞. I was advised to visit Brockworth Post Office, as they supposedly offered a document check and send service 📄.

Before making a special trip 🚗, I checked the website, which clearly listed that branch as providing “Document Certification Service and Paper Check & Send – New & Renewals” ✅. I also tried calling multiple times over a week (as instructed) 📲 but could never get through.

When I arrived 😐, I was told they do not offer any verification service ❌. Even worse, their phone line is outgoing calls only—despite customers being told to ring the branch ☎️.

End result: a completely wasted journey ⛽, time ⏳, and effort.

👉 Please update your staff training and website to reflect accurate information.
👉 Also, don’t instruct customers to call branches that cannot receive incoming calls.

Very frustrating and entirely avoidable experience.

🔄 Update (26/03/2026)

After speaking with Post Office via social media, I compared the services listed for Kings Square Post Office and Barnwood Post Office.

It appears that “DVLA Photocard Renewal” is specifically listed for Kings Square, whereas Barnwood does not clearly state this service.

The Post Office have acknowledged the issue, stating they will “definitely note this” and apologised for the mix-up, which is appreciated.

That said, the confusion arose from being advised to go to Barnwood and interpreting “Document Certification Service & Paper Check & Send” as an all-encompassing service—which, in practice, it is not.

So while I accept there was some misunderstanding on my part, the information and guidance provided is still unclear and could easily mislead others.

👉 Clearer distinction between services (especially DVLA-related) would help prevent similar situations.

💡 Suggestion:
A clearer way to present this would be to explicitly list key services such as “DVLA Photocard Renewal” for each branch, using a simple visual system (for example, a ✅ green tick for available services and a ❌ red cross for unavailable ones). This is a common and easy-to-understand format that would help prevent confusion.

Next day - as long as it’s not Sunday

So as a husband yes I left my wife’s Mother’s Day present till the last minute. I paid £5.65 for GUARANTEED next day delivery.
I have received a text this morning saying my address is inaccessible, which is funny because I live on a fairly main road, and I have also drove past the sorting office in Stafford this morning and no access issues. I asked my wife was the road blocked she said no. I’m coming to the conclusion that it is because it’s a Sunday. I can’t find anywhere to complain other than a form. Dont guarantee a Sunday if
You can’t deliver. I’ll also bet my bottom dollar I won’t get my money back!
Abysmal service from a once great company.

Parcel posted from Wexford Ireland 13th…

Parcel posted from Wexford Ireland 13th Feb, arrived in Coventry Parcelforce 17th Feb. Held at customs they want £70 for a small picture gift. No choice but to pay the fee, fee paid 24th Feb. Solent PFW holding item who knows why. No information given to me. Nothing heard and they have still not been in touch. Today 14th March still nothing. Spent hours trying to find out where my parcel is, they have my phone number and email address but no contact. Utterly rubbish service. Where is my parcel, four weeks of waiting, not knowing where it is, I’m really worried it’s been lost or damaged.

I wish someone would take this over

I wish someone would take this over. Slow, pricey, and 80% incorrect. I dread going into a post office and avoid it if I can.
The whole system should be online. Ripp off service.

Milnthorpe Post Office / Morrisons Daily

oday unfortunately was my last visit to this shop - under Keith it was a wonderful place to shop and for me post my parcels - the new guy Tom closes at random and today even refused to sell me a stamp - he is plain rude and should not be in a customer facing role , other members of staff Claire and Thomas have been excellent - i have been using this place for at least 2 years and today was the last straw - get rid of this man - he is giving Morrisons a bad name , i will now be going elsewhere - a terrible shame that one person can do this to a shop !! i have also made an official complaint to the company - other reviews also mention this man - i hope his bosses are reading

Putney Post Office (London) SW156SG

I visited the Putney Post Office (Upper Richmond Road, London SW15 6SG) to print some black-and-white documents and was charged £1 per page. I printed 10 pages and ended up paying £10 in total.

When I mentioned that the price seemed extremely high, I was told that this was the price set by the Post Office. However, just outside the branch there are several places where black-and-white printing typically costs around 10p to 15p per page.

Charging £1 per page for a simple black-and-white print is excessively expensive and far above the normal market rate. This kind of pricing is difficult to justify and should be reviewed.

Whatever happened to the Post Office??

On 5 December last year my wife paid to send a large package containing Christmas gifts to relatives who were visiting Portugal with their young family. She purchased a 10 day 'priority' mailing service at our local Post Office, which she was told would ensure the delivery of the package within that time. It didn't. Seemingly swallowed up by the EVRi logistics system Post Office now uses the package re emerged several weeks later in Portuguese customs. It was eventually delivered six weeks late on 21 January, the package having been torn open en route and deprived of several of its contents. Having paid additional taxes and customs charges and bought replacement gifts on Christmas Eve the whole experience cost us almost £400! We paid Post Office £56.80 to send the package and we now want to recover what we lost. But the staff at our local branch and at Post Office Head Office made it very clear that they want nothing to do with it. We have instead been told to contact EVRi about our case. We feel incensed that Post Office has outsourced its mailing service to a third party and it is now trying to dodge its responsibility. I have a terrible feeling that we'll just have to go to court to recover our money. The Post Office used to actually care about this kind of thing. But those days are gone.
