Hello all and I hope this review is found useful to anymore wanting to deal with slidenjoy, aka portabl aka "whatever the next company name will be".
My journey with these clowns started back in 2018 and I purchase their screen(s). To this day (sep 2023) i have still not received a screen but in fairness i cancelled the order only in Jun 2023, to which they said it would take 2 weeks (i guess everyone is now doing the maths and it has been longer than two weeks). I have just sent them an email again this week (12 sep 2023) and still it is the same story of
"Thank you for reaching back, I completely understand, you've been waiting a long time for your refund and I know it's not a small amount but I want to reassure you that we take customer satisfaction seriously, and our goal has always been to provide the best experience possible at Portable. However, we acknowledge that we've failed to do that for you and that we've lost your trust.
I have escalated your request to the billing department, but unfortunately, we have not seen any progress or resolution on your behalf. Please allow me to extend our sincerest apologies for the trouble caused, but rest assured that we are actively addressing the issue and will not rest until you get your hard-earned money back.
We will proceed with the escalation of your request again, and we hope to be able to move things along faster this time.
We appreciate your patience and understanding"
I am genuinely starting to think it is a chatbot that is responding because they cant handle the level of issues that are being presented their way.
Anyways, please be aware of what I have indicated and this is a definitely "buyer beware".
All the best to whomever manages to get their screens....if you do then please share it with this forum on how you managed to achieve this....if i could go -10 i wouldve have.

Order entered in June 2022; product still not received.
Cancel and Refund requested in July 2023, since then two months have passed and still no action.
Support tells the billing department has the refund request and they will action it, every time I contact them.
It's a shame, because the product seems nice.

A total scam!!
I ordered 8 months ago (January 2023) a carbon screen solution and until now only excuses and no delivery. My posts/reactions on their Instagram accounts get deleted and this CEO Laurent is the biggest faker as he always posts the same standard reaction here. This company is totally BS!!

It’s insane that this company is still promoting their fake product, it has been well over a year that I ordered it(june 2022) and a year of asking for a refund.
Always some nonsense but never any resolution, not to mention that they’ve changed their company’s name multiple times in the past. All the people that “received” a product all happen to be taking pictures in the same house?
A class action should be launched against them.

Ordered over 6 months ago! Asked for a refund after we bought a different model since we could not wait for it.
Have been told about 10 times over the last 3 months that they are "working on my refund" but it has never happened. Don't get screwed like I did.... RUN from this company as fast as you can. SCAM and I hope the owner goes to prison over it!

Thieves!! Ordered one year ago! Now I see a new company that seems to be very alike to this scam. It is called Sterrabrand. Whatch out! It might been them. Now they will answer this warning with the same as all the others. They are really fake and thieves! Spread the word

Every month new excuses. Production problems, COVID, all a bunch of excuses to keep selling a bag of air.
This company is still active in Belgium and is one of the biggest scams I’ve seen in a while. If you want a refund, the excuses start again on why they can’t give your refund.
This company is bankrupt and don’t believe the fake answers from the “CEO” Laurent Wéry. He has packed his bags with all the money he has gathered from this scam and is no longer active.
It’s time to get their website taken down because they’re still selling online and none of the buyers have seen their purchase!

I ordered a screen from this company with a delivery service of 48h. After 3 days, they said they had logistics issues so I cancelled and they e-mailed me right away, apologising and confirming that a refund was on its way (after I filled in their official refund form). It has been nearly 6 weeks and no refund yet, always sending useless e-mails to apologise. Do not deal with this company, a shamble!!

Just when you think they can’t get any worse - new customer orders being shipped before backlog customers. 😡
14 months since ordering - still no product, no proactive updates and estimate is - should be before it hits 19 months!!! 👵🏼
But if I ordered it as a new product now - I would be guaranteed delivery in 3-5 days.
That hardly seems fair.
The ‘sweetener’ is that the product that will/may eventually be delivered is the latest model rather than last years version. Well of course it is - they don’t make the old version any more 🤣
I even considered bravely/stupidly buying a new one (price is about £100 more now) and gifting the original when it does turn up and asked if there was a ‘massively inconvenienced customer’ offer if an additional product was purchased. You know a discount on the current price for still not having delivered last years order.
After all, other products are available, are cheaper and Amazon would deliver by 1pm tomorrow, but they don’t have the extra functionality this has.
The response from ‘management’ was ‘no way’. After all why would a company that has what looks like a good product (won’t know unless it actually arrives) but unbelievably poor production and delivery capability, that in 14 months has not issued a single proactive update and is shipping to brand new customers ahead of its backlog of loyal and extremely patient existing customers possible care about doing something as a token apology? I mean for that they would actually have to care about customers and the customer experience - and clearly Portabl doesn’t care about their customers.
The website claims a customer rating of 4.6/5. Utter fiction. Even the 1.3/5 rating here is generous. I’m told by Portabl the 4.6 is from people who actually have the product. That missed the point. Trustpilot is rating the company. Even with a brilliant product if your company is doing this poor a job overall, and you really don’t care how you treat your customers, there’s not much hope.
Laurent - I have contacted Customer Services - approx every 2 months - been waiting 14 months now. The reason I know you are ignoring customers who have waited over a year and shipping some inventory to brand new customers is because Customer Services told me. I don't care how good a product you have your treatment of your exceedingly patient customers is disgusting and in that entire time there has been zero proactive communications from Portabl except one email when I originally ordered to say you had a 3 month delay. 14 months and counting. I do not believe any other tech company is handling their wait lists or communication like this. really is a zero stars experience.

ordered 2 of these in October 2022 - never delivered, been in touch 2 or 3 times, saying it is on a delay. but still never arrives, today I have been in a chat with 'Peace' this was the answer i received - Thank you for waiting, We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Please know that we have been making regular deliveries to pending orders like yours and are finally catching up so its just a matter of time that we will get to yours. - I HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 10 MONTHS!!!
I asked for a timescale and the reply was -
I can say that at the moment we've delivered a lot more old orders, so the supply runs out quickly, which is why we continue to wait for more stocks to arrive so honestly I am unable to provide a specific date or a timeframe for delivery, I obviously can't because I'm also relying on the update from our manufacturer.
I then asked if I could request a refund? the reply was -
of course, We feel very sorry to hear about your order cancelation request. I definitely understand your decision but just so you know, our new facility is up and running. We are producing a hundred units. We expect to fulfill all existing orders when our stocks arrive in the few months. We are finally ending the long journey of waiting.
As long as your order is not fulfilled. You are eligible for a 100% refund and we can help you process your refund request.
I have submitted the forms, and will keep you updated if I do indeed receive a refund.
UPDATE - still not recieved and still no refund. How can you still be taking orders in November 2023!!!!

Absolute scam – Ordered Slide July 2022
They are using COVID an excuse for not proving you with the product, then when ask for refund which they confirm they will process within 14 days as per their Policy, further excuses are provided saying ‘We fully understand your frustration and urgency to have your funds returned to you as soon as possible, and we want to assure you that we're committed to fulfilling your refund request, but the billing department will need additional time in order to get to your request, as they are a small team handling a large influx of refunds.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a date or timeframe for the refund, so we can't guarantee the end of today as a deadline. Please accept our sincerest apologies, and rest assured that we are taking care of it and will have your money returned to you as soon as it is possible.’

Same case as others with portabl. I have my placed my order in June 2022, and it never arrived. I have been requesting for a refund for several months now. And the answer is the same, they are making all possible to refund me, but no actions taken.

I placed an order in March 2022. My order has not been fulfilled. To add insult to injury, they have started running a promotion (typical scam for them) and they have changed their name to The Portable Monitor.
I posted under their most recent FB post and I was blocked. Beware!!! This company is a SCAM!! Contacting customer support will not help. You will not receive the product.
Do not buy from these guys at any cost.

We ordered in December 2022 almost 8 months to the date we are still being fed elaborately worded emails about how they can’t give us a delivery date but have now started shipping 2 new batches every month so 1 to go old client orders and the other can go to new client orders. aka your money is paying for new clients to receive their stock before you.
They shouldn’t be allowed to trade or ship to Australia they are in breach of all the ACCC guidelines.

This is SCAM . I paid in September 2022 and till now have not received neither product nor the promised in March 2023 refund. They take your money and feed you with template emails.

If you search further you can find a law company Dewitty and associates who is supposedly filing a legal action against this fraud.
Note that Portabl also operates or has operated under LeSlide, Slide, Slidenjoy, among others. Both Kickstarter and Indiegogo booted Slidenjoy from their platforms for fraud - non-delivery of product (it's easy to find this info doing a Google search). Additionally, it appears they're also operating under myriad other names on Amazon. Be careful of ANY dual display offering like Portabl's - because it is very likely made by the same people behind Portabl.
