My first AI tool
I first heard about Pictory.AI at an HR seminar last year and wasn’t sure what to expect since I’d never used an AI platform before. Honestly, I was a little hesitant to even try it. But once I did, I was surprised at how easy it was to use—and I ended up subscribing almost right away.
Since then, I’ve created several videos for client interactions and plan to keep making more. The subscription is affordable, the customer service has been great, and it’s helped me pick up new skills along the way. Turns out you really can teach an old dog new tricks.

AI image to video doesn't work, it doesn't even have a prompt to write in. It directs me right to a video editor tool, not something what I asked for. I did had a trail, but I couldn't do anything with it. Just a big no to me

An Important Part of Building Living Waters Media
As the creator of Living Waters Media, I use Pictory regularly as part of my Catholic long-form and short-form video production workflow, and it has become an important tool in helping me create content consistently and efficiently.
What I appreciate most is the speed and simplicity of the platform. It allows me to turn scripts into polished video structures quickly while still giving enough creative flexibility to maintain a cinematic and emotionally engaging style.
Pictory has helped me scale production across YouTube Shorts, long-form YouTube videos, and other social media content without sacrificing quality or visual consistency.
I’ve also found the support team responsive, professional, and genuinely helpful whenever issues arose.
Building Living Waters Media would have been significantly more difficult without tools like Pictory, and I’m grateful for the work their team continues to do.

Fake AI, Real Scam
Subscribed to the API plan for a documentary-style YouTube channel. After one storyboard preview it was obvious — there is nothing AI about this company. They slap the "AI" label on what is a basic keyword-to-stock-footage matching engine to trick customers into thinking they're getting something advanced. The "AI that finds the right visuals" pulled drone shots of modern refineries for a Gilded Age history topic. The stock library is bottom-tier generic slop you'd find on any free stock site. The entire product is the "AI" moniker and a subscription paywall. Requested a refund 2.5 hours after purchase with one preview generated and zero final renders. The staff are actively perpetrating the scam — sent two back-to-back emails denying my refund, one citing "Annual Plan" policy and the next citing "Monthly Plan" policy. They don't even know what they're selling, they just know they're not giving your money back. The no-refund policy exists because they know nobody would keep this after seeing the output. Disputed with Amex. Don't waste your money on this "AI" scam.

Pictory really helped me launch my social media presence
Pictory really helped me launch my YouTube channel and was instrumental in all my social media posts for the past four months.
I'm doing a lot more live broadcast now so I was not using it and Customer Service was so helpful and kind and helping me change my subscription. This is truly a class organization and when I'm ready to go back I'll be back with Pictory ... for victory!
