PickMe doesn't care about complaints…
PickMe doesn't care about complaints and concerns passengers raise to them about unruly drivers.
Since they don't own the vehicles or have any work agreements with the drivers, we understand there is a limit they can control the drivers.
However, when a passenger makes a complaint, they should give some seriousness since we as passenger customers of PickMe, we book our trips with PickMe not with individual drivers.

Customer Service Complaint – Driver Conduct
My name is Asanga Buwaneka Divulwewa, a resident of Dehiwala, Sri Lanka. I wish to bring to your attention an unfortunate experience I had with one of your drivers, Mr. Nimal, who operates vehicle number YW 4692.
I am a person who has been confined to a wheelchair from infancy. On 12th March, I booked a PickMe ride in order to travel to several locations to attend to some personal errands. My first stop was Seylan Bank. During this time, the driver repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction and created unnecessary pressure by stating that he had another booking and urging me to hurry.
Afterwards, I proceeded to Commercial Bank, where the driver continued to demonstrate the same impatient and unprofessional behaviour. From the very beginning of the journey, he appeared frustrated and made several remarks that created a very uncomfortable situation for me as a customer.
As a company that plays a significant role in Sri Lanka’s transportation network, I believe PickMe has a responsibility to ensure that its drivers maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer care. Unfortunately, the conduct displayed by this driver fell well below the level of service that passengers should reasonably expect. Incidents such as this not only inconvenience customers but can also negatively affect the reputation of the service.
I respectfully request that this matter be looked into and that appropriate action be taken to address the driver’s conduct in order to prevent similar experiences for other passengers in the future.
I trust that this concern will be treated with the seriousness it deserves and that the necessary steps will be taken to uphold the quality and reliability of your service.

Don’t bother pre booking
Don’t bother pre booking. It only searches for drivers 15 min before your booking time. Then ,invariably, it can’t find a driver (in our case it was early morning). Different from other ride apps.

Our Driver Ruwan Kumara picked us up from Kandy to Dumbula asked. And took money from us for petrol and didnt deduct from total, I trusted him a gave him a tip.
After the trip and booking into accomodation I then realised his dishonesty. Shame really, he knew what he did. I wish Karma on him.
Would never use them as they are…
Would never use them as they are totally unreliable but also today one of my guests used them and the pickme driver damaged a wall at my house. They cant even drive!!
stealing customers’ money.
My account points are being deducted without reason. This is nothing but stealing customers’ money.
When I call and complain, they always say they will call back within 24 hours, but they never do. I have called many times and get the same excuse every time.
No solution, no follow-up, only repeated lies and continuous deductions. Very disappointing and untrustworthy service.
Disappointed with the hotline service
Disappointed with the hotline service. My calls were disconnected multiple times instead of being properly handled.

A miserable institution that has undisciplined drivers and takes no action on their behalf, wasting not only time and money but also mental happiness.
Another tourist scammed
Driver overcharged me by double. Pickme were presented resented with evidence and after one months said they would credit my account. Customer support is non-existent. After over two months I still received no credit. They are aware of this and decided not to reply further to my emails. Untrustworthy company that scam customers. Try Uber who at least are accountable.
Poor customer service!
Poor customer service!
Don’t use card payment! They scam you! Charges you way higher than the estimated and the customer service is useless! Do not sort out the issues. Their is no way for you to contact anyone apart from calling the head office number. Very poor app no chat service to help customers.
Also, beware if using card as only the driver can end journey even though you reached your destination.
Scam tourists
I paid a Tuk Tuk driver cash and realised afterwards he had cheated me on the price,
I contacted the company and to be honest they said they investigated the situation by contacting the driver but took his word,
Very dishonest driver, be careful if paying by cash which they prefer
As a regular user of both PickMe and…
As a regular user of both PickMe and Uber in Sri Lanka, I’ve noticed a significant difference in the transparency and consistency of fare pricing between the two platforms. Uber has consistently provided a reliable and transparent experience, where the fare displayed at the start of the ride is accurate and unchanged even upon arrival. This makes it easy to trust the platform and plan accordingly.
However, my experience with PickMe has been less reliable. While the fare shown at the beginning of the booking is generally lower, I’ve frequently found that the final fare is much higher than expected, often leading to frustration and a sense of being misled. This lack of fare consistency and transparency is a major drawback and makes PickMe less trustworthy for riders who value predictability in pricing.
Overall, I would recommend Uber for anyone looking for a more consistent and transparent pricing experience. Until PickMe addresses these issues, I find it difficult to fully rely on their service.
Pickme is unsafe and risky!
Thanks for your response about the driver who threatened me in front of my house, when the back seat of its 3 wheeler came off!
. I’ve already called, emailed, and lodged complaints through the app—none of it made any real difference. The responses were generic and dismissive, with no urgency or genuine concern. I gave it another try after six months, and the issues remain the same—persistent and unaddressed.
1. If you book using a debit or credit card, most drivers either cancel immediately or call to ask if you’ll pay cash. If you say card, they bail. Some say they’re on the way, then cancel later. It’s a frustrating mess. You’re better off using Uber from the airport and during your stay in Sri Lanka.
2. Many cars don’t have seatbelts, or they’re broken and unusable.
3. The tuk-tuks (three-wheelers) are even worse—loose seats that fall off, and virtually none have seatbelts. Out of thousands I’ve used, I’ve only seen one with seatbelts. In an accident, you're flying off the seat with nothing to hold you in place. It’s incredibly unsafe, and the company shows zero concern for basic safety standards.
4. Cancellations are rampant. Drivers accept bookings only to cancel them without reason. If the company actually cared, they’d review the trip logs and penalize repeat offenders—but they don’t.
5. Especially with airport pickups, drivers push for cash payments. According to them, the company charges LKR 700 for those trips, which they try to avoid by canceling card bookings.
It’s chaotic and unregulated—feels like the wild west.
Very expensive compared with Uber
Very expensive compared with Uber . Kokkuvil to Palali cost 2760 rupees. Uber 1870 rupees.
Sharing link doesn’t work
Very poor app experience when trying to lodge a complaint
For last one month when a ride is shared from your kids you can’t see it and says ride is completed even when start of the ride
Very dangerous to send your kids in pick

Please Please be carful
Please Please be carful. the company increases their chargers without informing you. Do not register your card to them to take what they like. I hire a vehicle for couple of hours and limited kilometres and I was within the limits. But they charged one and a half times. I said that I can sent a screen shot what I booked but ignoring all, they just kept silent. So, remember, DO NOT register your card if you hire on time and kilometre based. Keep a screen shot.

They banned me because I asked with help after taxi drives scam
I ordered taxi from Colombo to airport. Price was ok, like 25 USD (dont remember actually). When we arrived, taxi driver rebooted his phone several times and price updated to 45 USD or something. I checked my app, and there was updated price 45 USD. I checked trip map and realized that it was longer for 15 km. I assumed driver took longer way to get more money. I reported PickMe and they immediately banned my account.
Cant remember such a scam in years before. True Sri-Lankian experience.
I am extremely disappointed with the…
I am extremely disappointed with the poor service provided by the Pick Me customer service team. I booked a ride for one of my relations, using a card for payment, but the rider requested cash. Unaware of the card payment, my relation ended up paying in cash as well. I immediately lodged a complaint, expecting a quick resolution. A customer service representative, a girl, assured me that the issue would be resolved within 24 hours. However, more than 24 hours passed, and I’ve yet to receive any solution. Worse still, the complaint was closed without any update or action.
To make matters worse, I received a call from someone named "Thilan" from the customer service department. I’ve never experienced such a terrible attitude from a customer service representative before. His first question was, "What's your problem?" The tone and attitude were completely unprofessional, as if I were asking for a free ride instead of simply resolving a legitimate payment issue. I was left feeling like I was bothering them, and it completely ruined my confidence in using Pick Me’s services again.
The lack of proper communication and resolution, combined with poor customer service, is unacceptable. I expect better from any company, especially one that deals with customer-facing services. I won't be using Pick Me again, and I strongly advise others to be cautious when relying on their support.
"Pick Me" Management, Is this is your so called client service?? Be ashamed of yourself!
