Went with this lot for the Diesel…

Went with this lot for the Diesel emissions claim. They sent loads of stuff, most a repeat of what they already had. Mines on Renault Dacia. A few years later and last time they contacted me was over 6 months ago. Are they a Scam, Got vehicle details and keeping any compensation for themselves?
SEEMS A BIT CROOKED!!!

Unable to cancel claim due to death of the claimant

In 2021 I setup a diesel gate claim with Pogust Goodhead (PG) for a car I owned (that was paid for by my grandfather). As he paid for it the claim was setup in his name but managed by myself due to his declining health and it being my car. My grandfather spoke over the phone to PG to give permission for me to manage his claim. He passed away in December 2021.
I let PG know about his death early in 2022 and was assured it could all go ahead as planned. I thought to check things recently, so called up, they were clearly unaware of his death as none of the correct forms had been filled out (I have correspondence saved from 2022 from when I informed them of his death). Instead of personally receiving any monies from this claim, it would now go to his estate and be split according to his will (frustrating but understandable). It is no longer financially viable to me to spend time on this claim so wanted to cancel the claim, but I'm unable to do so despite being the one who setup the claim. Having spoken to the executors of the will, it is not worth their time handling this cancellation either (as a number of documents need to be created and provided), so we are left in limbo and unable to cancel the claim.

Honestly I wouldn't use this company again, it has been nothing but frustration. They just don't seem to care or understand the situation, and clearly have no records of conversations held over the phone with my grandfather and PGMBM (held over the phone due to his health).

Well isn't that strange?

Well isn't that strange?
I have had a claim with these people since 2021 and only NOW do they tell me my car does not qualify. Funny that because they have had every bit of documentation they requested from me, V5 the lot! When I first applied it made it clear my car qualified .... errr ... or else I would not of applied. Now the goal posts have moved and I do not have a claim. What utter incompetence!

AGAIN, 4 years to tell me "Based on the information you provided, we performed several checks, and it seems that your vehicle has been deemed ineligible as, based on checks carried out using third-party providers, it is believed that your vehicle was first registered during a period that is not believed to be affected by the diesel emissions scandal."

"We are getting in touch with you about your Mercedes Benz NOx Emissions Claim. We appreciate your patience while we have been reviewing your information.

When you joined My Diesel Claim, you gave your Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) as *** ***. Based on the information you provided, we performed several checks, and it seems that your vehicle has been deemed ineligible as, based on checks carried out using third-party providers, it is believed that your vehicle was first registered during a period that is not believed to be affected by the diesel emissions scandal.

Unfortunately, this means that your claim is not eligible to proceed in this litigation, and we will stop our investigations and legal representation. We will also terminate our Retainer Agreement with you.

We are required to let you know the reason for this termination, which we have set out in the letter below. Please read this letter carefully as it contains important guidance about your claim."

*UPDATE*

Received a letter explaining 'in detail' WHY my car has now been excluded. Remember it's only taken them approaching 4 years to inform me!! Thing is i have kept and recorded all their communication over that period and believe me it has nothing to do with "100's of thousands of claims" - It's actually sheer incompetence and at best biting off more than they can chew because of £$£$£$£$£$ !

Inefficient, unprofessional, uncaring, uninterested

I completed their 'My Diesel Claim questionnaire' over three years ago, confirming to them that I did not know whether I had an EA189 engine installed in my car or not. I even phoned them on 26th August 2021, repeating to them the same thing. Their answer was "not to worry about it, just fill their questionnaire and they would eventually inform me about it". I was also told that PGMBM was dealing with two different claims:
1) vehicles with EA189 Diesel engines
2) vehicles with non EA189 Diesel engines.
"Surely (I thought to myself) once PGMBM finds out whether I have an EA189 Diesel engine or not, they will fix me into one category or the other".
Now, over three years after I have received an email from them, stating that my vehicle is ineligible because it contains an EA189 engine variant, which is outside the scope of this Litigation. In other words, it has taken them three years to discover whether I had an EA189 engine, and the most surprising thing is that they didn't find out this information themselves, but from the defendants. This is literally what they have written to me: "The Defendants have now reviewed the claims within the Group Register individually, and unfortunately, they have objected to the eligibility of your vehicle, as your vehicle is ineligible because it contains an EA189 engine variant which is outside the scope of this Litigation."
To this day, I still don't know whether my car had an EA189 fitted or not.
How is it possible that it has taken three years for PGMBM to discover (and not through their own investigation but the defendants) that my car had an EA189 engine fitted? Why did the Defendants have to inform them about my case? Why didn't they research my case themselves from the very beginning? Why have they kept me as a client for three years? Have I been only a number? If they knew I had an EA 189 engine fitted, why didn't they include me in the claim for EA 189 engines rather than in the claim for non EA 189 engines?

Can't even write their own T&C's correctly

Claim submitted months ago. Zero Progress.
Now all of a sudden I receive an email to say there was a "mistake" in their T&C's. They mistakenly inferred to a 35% fee, which was a mistake, and now, the fee is 50%.
If a law firm cannot draft their own contracts correctly I doubt these cowboys will get anything other than your personal Information

Don't assume my text is set to standard

Like most companies using off the shelf software to creat forms, theirs does not attempt to be fully phone friendly. Their computer site works well but on my phone after completing a lengthy form the submit button was below my viewing window. This is because they assumed that my text size was standard. It is not.
The solution is for their web writer to query my browser and obtain my text size. Not a particularly hard thing to do. Just a couple of lines of code. Then they can use appropriate CSS to make the text fit the page.
Their forms assume that claimants will have the full vin number of a BMW.
Internally and on correspondence, BMW staff only use the last 7digits of the vin. This provides an ID for their vehicles and no other part is really needed.
So when you reach this part of the form near the end you can make no progress.
Just so they know as they will read this. Not something that most people know but they should.
