A scam

A scam, but most worrying is how they obtained the correct data on dog, breed, markings, date of birth etc. I did not consent to data being shared, so can only conclude that the chip company has had its data hacked.

Dog’s chip never registered

Same experience as everyone else-only thing is, went to the chip service that we thought our dog was registered to and he wasn’t registered there. The details Petchip had showed that this wasn’t hacked-they had obviously been given to them by the person from whom we got our dog. Amazingly, can’t get hold of her now. She’s have now discovered that the cop wasn’t registered anywhere at all! I have gone onto the national database and it shows my dog unregistered!

Petchip

Just received email with similar claims to others on here. This company wants £35 to register my dogs chip for its lifetime or £18 annually. My dog isn't even registered with this outfit. Do Not Pay anything to them until you have thoroughly checked where your chip is registered to.

SCAM

SCAM. Checked here first but was also going to ask my vet as I was pretty sure registration doesn’t expire.
How are they getting all of our information? They have all my details!

Unexpected email received from Petchip…

Unexpected email received from Petchip - "microchip registration has expired." They had a lot of personal details, including my name and that of my pet, phone number etc, and of course email. How did they get all that? Antivirus prog had flagged it, turned to Trustpilot, sure enough, steer clear! Thanks, Trustpilot colleagues! Will talk with vet and update any relevant comments.

Scam! Don’t get caught.

Scam - received an email saying my dogs microchip registration had run out. I then found out that my dog is not registered with Petchip but with another company and that I already have a lifetime registration. Therefore Petchip is just trying to get money out of people who don’t check where their original microchip registration is. This is a complete scam -luckily I did check and therefore I dud not get caught up in paying unnecessarily. Dreadful company.

PETCHIP Scam ignore

I've received an email today. Couldn't even spell my dogs name correctly. Thankfully didn't clink link as was a bit suspicious as thought you only pay a life time cover. SCAM SCAM

Absolute scam

Absolute scam. Identical experience as everyone else here, asking me to pay for what I either already paid for or never even signed up for. I spoke to multiple other microchip companies to both corroborate my pets info and ask about this company, and they said I was not the first to call about this. Absolutely asinine. Don’t click the link, don’t respond, DO NOT PAY, just report to the FTC (it’s very quick online) and block.

I have today received a renewal notice

I have today received a renewal notice. When I first had my dog she was registered with Pet Log and I wanted to upgrade. I mistakenly got on to this site instead. When I realised my error I cancelled this and carried on with Pet Log as there is only one lifetime fee and it is backed by the Kennel Club. Petchip had obviously kept all my details and was trying to get a fee from me!

This is a scam

This is a scam, they ask for renewal for pets microchip. You only pay once for lifetime registration. They are not even a government recognised database.

Scam Scam Scam

Scam. So many reviewers said so. Why didn’t I check first! You only pay once for registration when the dog is first chipped. No other payments for the life of the animal. Of course you forget they know that and their greed gets you. However if you paid by credit card they will claw back the payment.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would - it's an out & out scam, they ask for an annual amount to keep your animal registered. Go to a company like Pettrac who give you a lifetime registration for £12.....I won't say how they referred to this company.
