SCAM!!!!

Unfortunately I fell for this scam as I couldn’t find my original paperwork! I am so annoyed as I am normally very vigilant with emails.

An update - I paid via PayPal and registered via their Resolution Centre that I had been scammed. I received a full refund, so thank you PayPal

THIS IS A SCAM

THIS IS A SCAM! Received email saying my dogs microchip was expiring and asking me to pay for renewal. They had all my personal details and my dogs. This is not a government registered site. Checked with my vet, who confirmed microchips do not expire. Please do not click on any links or pay any money

My husband had an email saying dog chip…

My husband had an email saying dog chip is expiring, we’ve had 3 dogs, no problems with first two cos we got them chipped at our vets, last one was chipped by breeder so don’t know if they did them by vets or mobile chippers, I can remember husband now trying to change address on that took a while but he did it, putting it out here cos our vets have only got my details, so is it external places that’s obviously getting hacked!! Shocking

SCAM!!

Thank goodness for this platform. Alert ‼️ was my first thought when I received the email, as with others I have never had to renew a pets microchip. What’s worrying is how have they got all my details and my dogs. Hope nobody gets taken in before checking them out.

Got an email saying my pets details were out of date

If I could give these a 0 I would. Stay away, 100% SCAM. The website LOOKS genuine. Do not be fooled, if the website looks dodgy then it probably is. I got fooled, payed through PayPal, but got a refund once I found out, it WAS A SCAM. They even had a photo of my pet. A microchip lasts the lifetime of your pet

DOG CHIP REGISTRATION SCAMMERS…

Received an email that my dog's chip was expiring and would have to pay £19.85 basic for renewal. I searched for them but the website looked genuine. They know you panic when it's something to do with your best friend. A very clever scammer.
I paid the £19.85 before my husband said it's a SCAM he had been looking on mobile. So, we then had to contact the credit card company to put a stop on the payment and cancel the card.
I sent an email to them saying that we had found out they were scammers and had cancelled card. They responded saying this was 'unfounded' and removed altogether the chip from their database. Which as it turns out was not my dog's chip number, it looks like something they had made up but similar [the last four digits of the chip were not my dog's.]
DON'T GET SCAMMED OR SUCKED IN BY THEM learn from my experience. I will be more careful in the future and I usually am. Gaynor

What the heck’s going on in this crazy world ? Letting these low life scum get away with scamming so many people including myself, normally very careful but not this time😬
I also wish I had read reports first, that with teach me to be more vigilant in the future,
I really hope one day these cowardly thieves and that’s all they are, get what they deserve 🤬

Petchip SCAM

Same as everyone else - this is a "clever" scam as they have your email address, pet's name and your phone number. I got an email saying my pet's microchip had expired. I thought this was odd as I've never had this before with my other pet.

Scammers

Identical experience to everyone. My dog is registered with another provider, so when I received an expiration notice from this company I googled them. Glad I did. As with others, they knew my phone number and dog's name, so I could easily have been bought in. I will report and block

Pet Chip Expiry Scam

Same as others - received email advising cat’s microchip had expired. As a microchip last a pet’s lifetime I immediately realised it was a scam. I did however check with the company the chip is registered with and they confirmed it is a scam. It would be very easy for we ‘older’ owners to panic and click the link to renew. Please don’t do this - it is a SCAM. I am slightly disconcerted that they have all my information and all my pet’s details. At the time I registered change of keeper for my cat, I was unable to do it online and had to post the form, and I paid the fee by cheque, and have since changed my bank too, so that is a small bonus.

10 years too late

Similar experience to other reviews. Tried reporting them to DEFRA, but was told to report them to my local council instead (???).
