You did really well
You did really well. Royal Mail not so much. Why do they lie. Just email and say it’s going to have to be tomorrow instead of saying that they attempted a delivery and nobody was in. We have security cameras so we knew they hadn’t tried to deliver. But the value of the sweets was brilliant. My grandchildren are so happy.

Advertised promotions not being honoured
I’ve been a long-time, loyal customer of Discount Dragon (now Peeko), but the way they have handled a recent promotional error is unacceptable. I have been let down by their lack of transparency and their failure to honor a binding contract that an advertised promotion creates.
I placed an order that qualified for a "free item" promotion advertised on their site. When it wasn't applied, I reached out to support. Their initial response attempted to attribute the missing discount to other overlapping offers—a technical explanation that did not align with the order summary. It did seem like a standard response to a query like mine, and I was reassured these promotions (10% off the whole order after reaching a threshold plus another free item not related to this beverage promotion) somehow constituted the discount.
When I provided a line-by-line breakdown of the discrepancy, they simply claimed the offer had "expired," without offering any compensation or honoring the promotion I had claimed. I got a thank you for bringing it to their attention, and that they would take it down urgently. Now, nine hours after that exchange, the promotion is still being displayed as active on their website. It is concerning that an offer continues to be advertised when it is no longer being honored for customers.
This makes me a little bit worried about their attitude towards promotions, which is the lifeline of their business. Advertising an offer creates a binding contract, and I expect Peeko to honor the terms. Hopefully I can be spared the trouble of having to write to whomever about Trading Standards, wrt Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regs 2008, and the ASA.
I'm sure it could have been an honest mistake that happened, but not putting your customers at the core of what you do really leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
