Unauthorized charge of $180.00

Since September 2021, my account has been billed at $20 per month with no issues. This month, I was suddenly charged $180 without any authorization or prior notice. I have contacted the company to resolve this, but they have not corrected the charge or refunded the amount. I expect my billing to be returned to $20 per month and the $180 refunded immediately. ( 20 hours later) I received an email response where by they are asking me to keep the upgrade instead of following my precise request to revert back to my 5 year $20s per month plan. Lets see how long it will take you to make this right....if at all! ~*~*~ Update ~*~*( Saturday the 18th you promised in an email to refund me $160 of the $180 taken without permission and still today, Monday the 20th no refund...Please clarify why?

Stephanie hi! Sorry if any confusion with the pricing and the offer suggested by our Support.
Keeping the annual plan is actually more beneficial (divide $180 by twelve months?), that's why, most probably, our Billing agent suggested that. But we absolutely do not insist.
Did you a get reply/settlement for this over the weekend?
If you want our Customer Care to follow up on this, please let us know the ticket number of this case. Thank you.

Absolutely trash

Absolutely trash. Takes forever to put any text boxes in, and it wouldn't let me save my edits for free. And it didn't tell me I needed to pay until after I spent 2 hours making texts and writings on my document.

Anthony hi and our apologies if any confusion incurred!
If this was your first day / first time, please note that the first 30 days are actually covered by the free trial period. What you probably saw was an account registration prompt? It does not assume an immediate payment, actually. The very fist payment goes only after the free trial expiration (on the 31st day).

Free Trial Trap – $2 Deducted Without Clear Warning

I activated the free trial expecting to download documents without being charged right away. However, the moment I clicked the download button, $2 was deducted instantly. There is a small message warning about the charge, but it appears briefly and is easy to miss. The whole process happens so fast that you don’t even realize you’ve agreed to it. it genuinely feels like a mind game.

What’s even more frustrating is the cancellation process. I had to go through 5–6 different buttons and CTAs just to cancel the trial. It feels intentionally designed to confuse users and make them give up before completing the cancellation.

This is misleading and frustrating. A “free trial” shouldn’t feel like a trap. Be very careful before signing up.

Josephi hi! Our apologies for so much confusion incurred!
$2 was not a charge, actually (and the pop-up message informs users about that). This is called a verification amount or test transaction. It is used by banks and payment processors to check the validity of the registration details. This amount is back within 24 hours, normally less. Did you see it back?
If you are not sure about the cancelation, please email support@pdffiller.com. We can check the status manually in our system, no worries.

Will let you do everything until you need to save it then they ask for the credit card. Classic bait and switch let you get knee deep in editing, then require credit card info.

Michael hi, our apologies for the confusion caused! At the stage of account registration and free trial period activation the credit card is needed strictly for verification purposes, actually.
Please note that our free trial covers full 30 days, so the card won't be charged until the 31st day, we assure you.

I love the ease with you can edit PDF…

I love the ease with you can edit PDF files and resave them as one whole document or individual documents. I also like the erase feature ALOT! I really like this PDF although it comes with a cost. I may not continue because of the cost, but I do love this PDF editor out of all of the ones I have used. Maybe if it was more cost-effective, I would purchase it again, but as an educator in NC, it is just not economical for my teacher pockets to continue with the cost.
