iSkysoft PDFelement Reviews 

I downloaded the PDFelement for Mac (IS) App for MacOS and had a number of issues from the start. Parts of the software did not function at all and although support responded, they were unable to rectify issues, even after the software engineers accessed my computer.
They did provide a full refund for the full cost of the software but I'm disappointed that they were unable to provide a functioning version of the PDF editing software which resulted in a lot of lost time for me.

I have been using iSkysoft PDFelement on my Macbook since 2016 as substitute of Acrobate Pro, for PDF editing and conversion of PDFs to other file formats. I am very satisfied with the software and glad I chose to buy the perpetual license.

I love the flexibility PDFelement gives me to transform a pdf into a fillable document. I've used it tons in my teaching to create online fillable versions of worksheets and parent letters for my students. It's easy to use and a time saver.

This is a review of the Windows version and should not be confused with my poor review of the Mac version. The Windows version is run on my Mac using Parallels 15.
Pros:
The program will print png images with a transparent background. Many Mac programs will print the transparency as black, including Mac Preview (although it will correctly print png images with transparency not embedded in a pdf). Do not be confused between what you see on the screen and what is printed on paper. They are not always the same!
The program will correctly print barcodes - important in things like theatre tickets - which the Mac version does not.
The license is perpetual - not a subscription like Adobe Acrobat. Subscriptions in my book are a killer. I'm not an intensive enough user.
Good at modifying portions of text. You can readily change the font and whether its bold, italic, etc.

Cons:
It depends very much on how the original pdf was created as to how much you can do. For example, if the pdf was exported from MS-Word, every bit of text that was inside a text box in Word will be one object in the pdf. This really is only important if you want to move the text. You can still alter the font etc. of individual bits.
It isn't always easy to move things together. For example, you can only move images and text separately.
It does not pick up the borders of tables. You can only move the contents. This is something I've found in other pdf software.
It is tricky to select multiple text objects. I have not yet found a drag-to-select option, although I may be missing a trick. I have had to use ctrl + pick to select multiple objects.

I fill forms and some fonts are too large for the particular field. How can I change the font size? A few minr annoyances. Otherwise, ok.

Great for editing PDFs with simple text edits (removal, changes, etc)

As good as adobe acrobat when you have learned all the tricks.

Product performs as advertised. Took me a few tries to get it (and me) synchronized for my use. Does not play well with Adobe;s free reader running in background I've found (hence 4 stars) bu it does do more than the reader does and constantly. Worth the money to have on board.

Lovely experience with iskysoft, it's easy to convert file. Pls go for it.

I mistakenly paid for the perpetual license for the latest pro version because of the capability to watermark and batch process pdf files; however, what I got was a slow to load and easy to bog down program that I almost always drag aside to use Adobe acrobat that i had to purchase because of how useless this program is. This expensive program can not even handle 99% of the pdfs I work with on an everyday basis, and when i can use it, it crashes often and takes forever to edit the smallest of documents. One would think that if a company markets that their product can produce and edit pdfs, they should probably ensure they can handle all types of pdfs before they sell it.

I used it for converting tables on pdf documents to excel spreadsheet and it worked very well for me. I bought another product and I was not fully satisfied with the outcome and I tried PDF element and the outcome was slightly better. On standard fonts, they have close to 100% accuracy while, with the custom fonts I was dealing with, there is still room for improvement. But for the general customer, this does the job very well.

iSkysoft's PDFelement was a fantastic resource for my business and well worth the money. At first I was hesitant, but after the trial I discovered and played around with so many features it had to offer, I felt great about the decision to purchase their software. 5/5 Stars!

Im not happy with this version of iSkysoft. Ive used 2 previous versions and in my opinion its gone backwards, so much so that I am looking at other PDF conversion software. The interface is not as user friendly and when I open PDF documents for editing it places little text boxes around the copy, making it difficult to work with. The menus buttons are not obvious or easy to navigate. This is a case of software developers not really focussing or thinking about the end user experience. Im not happy with this version.

Great app. Quick and smooth in operating, has all the functional tools required for personal use not bugs and no glitches. And the price is quite reasonable.

Crashes often and sometimes doesn't edit like expected. Once I upgraded to iOS Catalina, the program would no longer function. Instead of offering me a product replacement, iSkysoft wanted me to spend an additional $30 after spending $100 for an 'upgrade'.

Very easy to use even for people with little experience editing pdf files.

Include iSkySoft in your shame file.

They promote their product as
- "This is a 1-computer lifetime license"
- "You get lifetime free upgrades"

Yet when I enquired as to why I am not getting upgraded to v6 they respond
- "PDF 5 and PDF 6 are 2 different programs now. "

Arrogant & appalling!
iSkySoft cannot be trusted.

This by far is the easiest .pdf editing and creating tool that I have ever used...especially considering the price point. This tool allows the user a greater degree of flexibility than other similarly priced software tools that I have had experience using. I highly recommend this product.
