I am waiting for some help from Paypal
I bought a garment using Paypal .. I cancelled the order but the seller still sent my parcel which was advertised as linen and it was cheap polyester .. I returned the garment and the seller refused to refund my money so I asked Paypal to intervene and so far they have done nothing .. this has been ongoing for months and they just keep shifting the resolution date, they don't even reply to my emails .. they are hoping I will give in and go away .. the seller has not one decent review .. would think Paypal would rather not be letting them use their platform
Paypal decided in there goodwill to…
Paypal decided in there goodwill to place a limitation on our business account we have had for 5 years. They now hold up to 20k worth of our funds for 160 days. So every order takes 20% and they hold it. So as a small business, this is extremely stressing. Money that’s taken from us during covid times. When we query about our money. Basically bad luck. We provide tracking we provide all information. We have been for 5 years. Trapping a small business and not giving access to there own money that we still have to pay fees on from you? Where does the interest go? 160 days is a long time. Nobody will help. No one is in Australia to support.
Use another payment platform
PayPal recently placed limitations on my account, requesting that I provide the date of birth of a third party. I requested PayPay provide the reason for their request, given that the the third party does not have an account with them and that the relevant transaction didn't proceed. I repeatedly received generic and repetitive responses which did not provide any new information and which did not address my question. I was prevented from access to my PayPal funds until I provided the information. This is wrong on many levels - it assumes that I'm aware of the third party's date of birth and that the third party agrees with the disclosure. PayPal arbitrarily froze my account without any timely recourse or appeal being available to me and as such, I intend to use another payment platform moving forward. PayPal's quoted time of "up to 45 days" to respond to a complaint simply isn't good enough in the context of not having access to my own money.
The fact that so many clients on this website have expressed issues with PayPal should serve as a warning to all. Use another payment platform.
Hidden fees
I questioned a hidden fee on my payment with PayPal and the seller...both are saying they did not change this fee but the breakdown on my receipt is:
$40.00 + $3.25 booking fee (should add up to $43.25)
Total charged was $44.95...there is a difference of $1.70. Dispute was just refused with PayPal and Cinema is saying they did not change it. Someone is syphoning hidden charges. Has anyone else found this? Extremely hard to contact anyone or resolve if you do not agree with outcome.
Not Allowing The User To Decide About Security Solutions
I have reduced my use of this company to only when absolutely necessary since they have made disabling two step difficult. I want to disable it because I am concerned they may send my code to a spoofed number. It also seems inconvenient to the other options available to me.
I find that I no longer have great need to use the service because I have found overseas postage rates can be very expensive.
I attempted to contact the Paypal community for help but like all Paypal's solutions they were unhelpful.
Paypal used to be good like all things need to reviewed from time time. This time it failed because just followed what everyone was doing and not keeping up with what criminals are doing.

Fees are disgusting and hate how they have a partnership with ebay making avoiding using them impossible!
PayPal's Dispute Resolution is a joke
PayPal's buyer protections work as long as you don't have a non-white name trying to claim against someone with a white sounding name. Some bigots working at PayPal Australia's dispute resolution team will summarily decide against you even if you're sent goods that explicitly don't match their purpose. There is no proper avenue to appeal the decision. Pathetic and repugnant company that I haven't used since.

The fees are so high I can believe that! how people use it on a daily bases? doesn't make any sense.
BE CAREFUL
BE CAREFUL, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FUNDS ON PAYPAL.
THEY CAN TAKE IT ANYTIME THEY WANT, IT'S NOT YOURS, THEY ARE NOT A BANK, IT'S ON THEIR TERMS OF SERVICE
Absolutely disgraceful!!!!

PayPal's refund policy is a joke.
I was scammed buying "kinetic wind spinners"The wind spinners, whilst looking lovely in the advert, turned out to be small and non functional. PayPal refused not refund any money for any of these scams because they 'believe' the scammers claim that they will notify PayPal when they receive the item back and will refund the money. They falsely use legitimate company names (which PayPal refuses to investigate) If you do return the item (at your expense) they don't notify PayPal and PayPal is not interested in refunding from its own pocket. PayPal's refund claim is completely false when it comes to scammers.
Pay pal don’t protect your purchases
I purchase through pay pal because they always talk about the protection you get. I have had they worst experience lately with them. Now with covid drivers can sign for you so be aware of that they don’t need you signature to leave a package.
I purchased something from The Real Real it was posted and the day it said out for delivery I sat down stairs in my lounge room as it’s right next to the front door and nothing came by 7pm I thought maybe it will get delivered tomorrow so o refreshed the page and it said delivered. So o rang UPS and they were so rude and couldn’t care less. The driver the next day came to my door yelling at me I must have missed it and did I look in the bushes? When I asked why it would be in the bushes he said that’s when we can leave stuff I said it’s supposed to be signed for he said now with covid they just sign for it so it’s either been mis- delivered or the drivers can just sign for it and take the items. I certainly didn’t get my package. When I contacted The Real Real they said it says delivered and weren’t interested and rude also I was so shocked. So I did what I thought I had the back up to do and put in a report with pay pal and thought finaly I’ll get some help. Nope they said that the claim had been closed as the UPS company are saying the package is delivered. I explained they have no proof of delivery and I don’t have my package they just closed the case. So be very careful if you think pay pal will help you and you have a safety net as they always claim think again.
I bought items from ebay by PayPal
I bought items from ebay by PayPal, i received wrong items, and PayPal did not help.
PayPal and Kogan.com trying to cheat me
I recently found out that PayPal used the fraudulent "Automatic Payment" label to side with a seller (e.g Kogan.com) and secretly repeat my orders without listing the product - so that I was unaware of the fraudulent charges. Take for example on 27 Mar, I purchased through PayPal a Q-grips at $14.75 (and I have never used it), but they put the "Automatic Payment" label on my first order and later secretly created two more orders at $19.75 and $67.44 (with no listing of the products) and illegally charged me without having to deliver anything to me.
PayPal used to be good but it now has become a fraudulent organization. No wonder their rating is now so low,
PayPal customer service seems to get…
PayPal customer service seems to get worse by the minute. I’ve been a customer since ‘07 and have never experienced such a poor customer experience with any financial product. Algorithms block transactions for inexplicable reasons and representatives have no control over the process and can’t resolve issues. How i wish there are other platforms that can replace paypal.
I started a small business
I started a small business. After six months of working hard, I had enough money to set up a small digital campaign. I was so excited when I got 3 orders in and all 3 customers decided to use PayPal. PayPal saw this activity as unusual and has decided to put a permanent limitation on my account and to keep my money for six months! There is no human to talk to about this, just a chatbot that says contact a representative during business hours while I'm talking to it in business hours! I suppose I should be grateful this happened early on before they locked up a larger amount of money, which they have done to other small businesses. Small businesses beware! PayPal is shoddy and customer service is non-existent.
PayPal is not Customer Friendly
PayPal customer service seems to get worse by the minute. I’ve been a customer since ‘07 and have never experienced such a poor customer experience with any financial product. Algorithms block transactions for inexplicable reasons and representatives have no control over the process and can’t resolve issues. Xoom canceled a transaction that was linked to a bank account and after hours in the phone after a transaction was canceled for no apparent reason. There are countless reviews echoing my experience. If there are things that set off an increasingly “touchy” bot algorithm, then PayPal needs to provide guidance on best practice to keep things moving smoothly. I found out that one no no is using a VPN while on PayPal or trying to send funds oversees after recently (and with lots of difficulty and wasted time) sets off red flags. The cheapest ways to transfer money is the most problematic. Go figure. I’ve wasted so many hours with customer service robots I should consider trying to ask for list wages. PayPal is Not customer-focused. Sadly I think this is the way the industry is going too.
As always Bad customer service
As always Bad customer service, I dont know why I am still using Paypal anyway, extremely bad customer support, I opened a chat with human and they decided to give me an automated message, so freaking sad, it took me hours to have the support understand the situation. Worst SERVICE EVER

Why did I give 5 Stars because in my experience that is how it worked out.Minor irritant when trying to contact Paypal but eventually got to speak to a human 3 or 4 times and was satisfied by how I was advised and treated by staff. The lodged a dispute for me and listened to what I had said and then gave me advice. The information I gave was noted and entered into the dispute notes.Thankfully with the Trustpilot reviews the money was refunded after Tuusk failed to rectify the problem. My advice is I always use Paypal rather than credit cards for this reason.Thank you Paypal appreciate the service I received .

THEY DON'T PROTECT CUSTOMERS IN ANY WAY
What a joke! They do nothing to protect you as a customer! I cancelled a subscription with iPage just before the renewal, but then I got charged anyway through PayPal. I rises a case with PayPal and in less than one day of "investigation" they decided in favour of iPage close the case as legit payment with no further opportunity of reply on my end. The joke is that the PayPal's investigation was soo good that at the same time iPage choose for the refund! I will not trust them for any payment out of ebay
