Highly recommend this service for genuine dog lovers

I highly recommend this rescue for anyone wanting to adopt a needy dog. The whole process is easy to navigate and support given by the team from the initial application for the dog through to the delivery of the pooch to your door. The virtual home check is thorough but all aspects explained. The trip from Romania to your home is done with great cate and all aspects are well communicated to you. My rescue dog is well socialised far better than those in local shelters where they are kept apart. I highly recommend this shelter and feel the team demonstrate love and care for thie animals at all times

The best organisation that changed our…

The best organisation that changed our life!

Paw Prints to Freedom was truly a great organisation to work with. They were great and quick with communication throughout the whole process.

We rescued our dog 2 months ago and absolutely adore her. You can tell how much care they put into their work.

I would recommend them to anyone!

Proceed with caution…

Please be cautious if using this rescue, for me there has been nothing but misinformation and miscommunication. There was misleading and withheld information about the dog and their issues. The whole process was distressing and stressful.

I would advise you to ask all the questions, as if you don’t ask, they won’t tell you. And preferably adopt a fostered dog who you have met in person in a home environment. If you have resident pets ask to see the dog meeting other animals.

Their assessments and ‘match reviews’ are just token processes. Their main concern is bringing as many dogs as possible to the UK, which is admirable but consequently there are casualties.

Rescue is always the best option, but proceed with caution with this one.

Hi Bea,

I am so sorry you feel like you have been misinformed.

Our process is very through and we do in depth assessments of all dogs. It is a known fact that dogs that are in a shelter can sometimes act and behaviour differently when in a home environment. We provide our adopters and fosterers with as much information as possible.

I am sorry you feel like the dog you adopted did not match your expectations, a dog that has been with volunteers and not had any issues with other dogs and is a calm, submissive girl that you asked for.

Our main concern is not to bring over as many dogs as possible to the UK, it is to save as many dogs as possible. That is why we have a whole team dedicated to the UK intakes and the UK pounds.

If you wish to discuss this matter further, please email enquiries@pawprints2freedom.co.uk and your email will be passed over to the relevant team.

WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT OUR TANE!

The whole process from start to finish, which have to say was really quick, was amazing. We've had our wonderful rescue (Tane) for 4 months now .. no he's not perfect and the more he settles in, the more comfortable he is as he comes out of his shell, HOWEVER, we would not be without him .. he gives us cuddles, so easy going and chilled with us .. I've never before heard a dog 'sigh' so loud, we love him to bits. The before 'and' after care and comms from PPTF has been brilliant .. thank you so much PPTF! 😁

Absolutely incredible rescue! 👏👏❤️❤️

Absolutely incredible rescue!! I started off donating towards dogs coming over from Romania year then as I got more involved I started to foster through the rescue to then help the dogs find their forever homes & families. PPTF have been amazing every step of the way and really go out of their way to make sure the right dog is suited to you. The online side of the rescue is mostly worked on by volunteers and it’s incredible how much time everyone puts into helping these dogs! Highly recommend this rescue when looking to save a dog from a previously terrible life in Romanian! We are on foster number 7 already and it’s so rewarding when they go onto forever homes! 🐾❤️ PPTF really work so hard to help as many dogs as possible and are always forever grateful for any help or donations they receive to be able to continue their hard work!! 👏👏🐾🐾

I can’t thank PPTF enough for giving us Otto. We have had him 2 months now and he has settled so well and can’t imagine our lives without him. The charity have been amazing, they have been very thorough from start to finish. Special mention to Ash our Admin who was/ is always there to answer any questions that we may have and also Jane who did our home check and couldn’t have been any nicer. We were informed at each stage of the processes and everything was made easy and straightforward. I would without a doubt recommend anyone who is considering a rescue dog this wonderful charity. Thank you again!

I cannot praise PPTF highly enough.

I cannot praise PPTF highly enough.
From our initial contact with our allocated admin and home checker, right through to the delivery of our dog, the whole experience was very well informed and professional.
Our admin was so helpful and knowledgeable and quickly replied to any questions or concerns that we might have had.
We were kept up to date on the progress of the dogs’ journey from Romania via a transport chat that was set up for all the
adoptees with an eta for each dog.
All of the volunteers at PPTP are totally dedicated to the welfare and rehoming of these poor dogs in need, they are all angels and should be applauded.

A brilliant rescue organisation

We adopted Margot (was Maya) in November 2024 through paw prints to freedom. They were recommended to me through a friend of a friend when we lost our dog in summer 2024, we decided we wanted to rescue our next one. The whole process has been very positive, from first putting an application, to being matched with a dog and this continues today where support is still available today if needed (we don’t as Margot has settled so well but it’s great to know we could reach out if we did). We were assigned a support person (Ashley) from the beginning and he was always there to answer any questions and offer advice throughout the process. I would recommend anyone thinking of rescuing to consider this organisation.

I highly recommend adopting a dog from here

We adopted Claud (now Wolfie) from PPTF in December 2024 and we adore him. I was a little nervous as we were adopting him straight from Romania but I needn't have been as he was just as they described him, friendly and affectionate and loves a fuss. He came fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
He was also tested for diseases such as Brucellosis. The home check was done by Judith and ongoing support was provided by Ashley. Both so friendly and helpful, they make sure you are fully prepared for your new dog and give you loads of advice to make sure you get off to the best start. If you are looking for a new dog I highly recommend you adopting from here, they have hundreds of beautiful dogs desperate for a home.

What an amazing rescue

What an amazing rescue. What a fantastic bunch of volunteers, who have unmatched dedication and drive and always do the right thing. These guys are just fantastic in the way they assess every case on its own merit, rather than having blanket policies. These guys are very good at matching families with dogs and I am in awe of all that they do. Our process for adoption was organised, our admin was amazing through the process and the care was second to none. Highly recommend adopting from these guys.

Amazing rescue!

Amazing rescue, we spotted a post on Facebook at 10pm, were in conversation and with an application in before 11pm, had submitted videos and info by 10am the next day and had collected our boy within 48 hours.

We’ve rescued 4 dogs before and have never had such a good experience. The volunteers care a great deal and make things happen, I’d give 10 stars if I could.

Dog rescue Saudi Arabia …

On 14th December I received my two new fur babies from Sonia in Saudi Arabia. I cannot tell you what a joy it is having these two dogs in my family. Wonderfully fostered and cared for by Sonia. All they want is to be with me and to be loved. Considering how they were treated it’s hard to believe how loving and trusting they are.

Totally awesome and professional dedicated to rehoming the correct dog to the right owner

This rescue may seem a long winded process but that's because they want to match you and your life style to the right dog so it works for everyone. Total professionalism and commitment .
I am in the process of adopting a beautiful dog through this organization and nothing has been too much trouble and boy have I pecked at my wonderful admin lady Claire who never seems to sleep bless her ❣️
Dedicated and works tirelessly as I know all the staff and volunteers do to save these poor souls and re-home then successfully and that is what a professional well organized and dedicated rescue is all about
I totally believe in their judgement on suitability to the right home and that's how to guarantee so many happy endings for these defenseless innocent dogs
I raise a glass to PPTF they are amazing.

Pawprints to Freedom lead the way

From completing the application form to welcoming our rescue from Romania. We couldn't have asked for a better service. Once our application was approved, we were assigned an Administrator who took us step by step through the whole process and was available 24/7 to answer those questions that pop into your head in the middle of the night. Our dog is beautiful and settling in well. We are following all the advice and guidance for a smooth transition for all of us. It is so reassuring to know that our Administrator will be with us for the remainder of our dogs lifetime to help us with any behavioural issues, health concerns etc and if for any reason we are no longer able to take care of him, he will return to the charity to be fostered or adopted. Thank you to everyone who volunteers their time, energy and expertise to help these helpless animals. We are so grateful and privileged to be the proud adopters of our Romanian rescue. The whole process took just under 8 weeks and our dog arrived, neutered, vaccinated, flea'd and wormed with a passport to travel across Europe and all documentation required. All sorted by the charity. All we had to do was pay £400 for the adoption fee, register him with a local Vet and take out pet insurance, along with lots of food, toys, leads and beds to make him feel at home. If you are thinking about adopting or fostering a pet, please take a look at Pawprints to Freedom. They will take all the strain off your shoulders.

Dog Fosterer.

To begin with I followed the Facebook page for a while and could clearly see how the team worked hard to help all dogs and never seem to forget the ones still waiting. I then decided to foster and filled out a thorough application form which was easy to follow, a homecheck which was virtual and the lady was lovelyand helpful. I then had a team member dedicated to helping me find the right dog (special mention to Tina) who was with me throughout the process. I opted for a dog on her recommendation, I followed along the dogs journey directly to my home. The information pack to help the dog settle was useful and it helped the dog settle well. The dog herself was honestly the best dog! I can't believe how well she fit into our household. She was clearly well loved in the kennels in Romania. I would have been a foster fail if I didn't continue to follow the Facebook page and wish to help more. When it came for my lovely foster to move on the support from staff and other adopters was amazing. As soon as she was in her new home and although i was very teary I asked for the next foster to help straight away which again I've been kept up to date with information about and my foster is due in the next few days. Thank you to the Pawprints team for allowing me to help your dogs, anyone hesitant to go through the rescue route I couldn't recommend Pawprints To Freedom Rescue enough.

Great at matching a dog to your needs

I adopted a dog through PPTF and they really are true dog lovers. The dog and any resident pets are their sole priority. The process was very thorough and initially I thought perhaps a little long but once we got into it I realised it was all to make sure we got the best match for the dog and us and it made total sense. We have 2 cats already so we had videos of cat testing to show us rather than just tell us suitability. Our admin helped us find the perfect dog and as I type this she is laid next to me with one of the cats. Thankyou PPTF for looking after our girl and making sure she was coming to the right home. At the end of the day that's what's most important!
