Had a really great experience with this company recently… I had a few questions about a bed I was looking at, and both Katie and Will in the customer service team were super helpful. They were friendly and patient… nothing felt rushed and nothing was too much trouble 😊 It makes such a difference when you speak to people who actually seem to care about getting things right. Delivery was smooth and the bed is exactly what I was hoping for. Big thanks to Katie and Will for making the whole process easy and stress free!

I ordered a high sleeper for my daughter, I just want to say I dealt with a ladie called Katie, and she went above and beyond for me, I thought “oh here we go this is going to be a nightmare after reading these reviews”, Unfortunately the bed they sent didn’t meet our requirements, (no fault of theirs) So Katie who I spoke to the whole time, spoke to the manufacturer and tried to see what was the best way to move forward. All they wanted from me was a few photos/videos to show the issue. I thought it was going to be a nightmare having to go back and forth but she dealt with everything. She then arranged for someone to come pick the bed up for me, no hassles no issues, simply arrange delivery asked for a photo and someone came to pick it up. They are providing me with another bed, again with no hassle or no issues. I’m really happy with how this situation has been dealt with, and how smooth the process was, Katie was always in touch and always kept me in the known. What a wonderful asset she is to your company!

Purchasing new furniture is stressful enough besides building from flat pack.
I would like to stress that Own Furniture have offered to replace all damaged sections of the Jupiter loft bed, 5 poorly packaged items/cartons in total. Probably resulted poor delivery and packaging.
The Jupiter loft bed in my eyes overall is a really poor structure, the fittings and fixtures may play a part, this is not good enough in my eyes therefore I have fixed to the wall to secure. Too much movement when daughter was climbing. Own furniture have replied to this and stress all tests from the supplier have passed rigorous tests.
Dismantle and replacement of sections in my eyes overall would lead to future problems of unsafe use.
This item of furniture won’t last long enough in my eyes and will be replaced sooner rather than later, the exposed damaged corners I will be making good with filler etc for the meantime.
I’m sure all furniture sold by own furniture won’t be as poor.
Stay away from this piece of furniture for your child’s bedroom, not worth the time and money.

Wasn’t happy that 2 boxes out of three were delivered so could only put together half my wardrobe

Soo, these days I think it's a bit of a mixed bag to find a seller of qualitative flat-packed furniture where the product received is reflecting of the price paid - that as with many vendors is not the case here, however in my opinion OWN Furniture have only gone & flipped that on its head, by providing an item of furniture well beyond my expectation of what was reasonable in the terms of quality versus the £'s paid.... but sssshh, don't tell them or they might look to increase prices 😉
In all seriousness though, with the exception of one very small issue (a missing email advising of a revised delivery date) which was resolved within the click of a finger, that only lends to reinforce the capability of their customer service, I truly could not fault a single thing - and my expectations, particularly in relation to quality are admittedly a tad unduly high.
We had a very particular set of circumstances that led us to needing some bedroom furniture with specific requirements for the space available to play with, and I have been so impressed with OWN Furniture from start to finish that I want to make sure I don't miss anything, so am going to attempt to cover that in list form....

Website / initial purchase experience:
All good, easy to navigate website, with a good range of accepted payment methods.

Aftersales info:
Email confirmation of order & shipment / delivery completed notifications as relevant. including one thing that I have never in my time of building flat packs received ever over the years from any other vendor at all a "Tips for Building Flat Packed Furniture..." email - and that's the thing here, it's all the extra touches.

Delivery:
Free, next day courier (within cut-off) which was with Fed-Ex for our consignment.

Quality (packing):
Spot on, these appear simple things but nevertheless appreciated by "the flat-pack builder" everything is well packed & secured within the box in which it is delivered with all items present and correct - you can actually tell that quality control has been carried out.

Instructions & Hardware:
instructions were adequate to decent, some of the images could have been marginally clearer, but no steps that left me confused & the hardware, like everything else was fit for purpose with push-fit cam pins that were very effective & much easier to work with preventing the odd inventible burst through.

Customer Care:
Exceptional - singling out Katie specifically, who assisted me on two occasions over the phone, which I found refreshingly easy to contact someone on, following up via email.... going above & beyond my request or expectations, she is a credit to team at Own Furniture.

Finally, I think

Quality (product) / Value for money:
Both just amazing, it shouldn't have to be that an item is purchased with the anticipation of will it be any good or not - but I found that Own Furniture took that apprehension out of the equation....
There was a back-order delay between the first piece of furniture & the second (which were dispatched individually on Katie's suggestion at no additional charge) subsequently after receiving the initial consignment, during which time I looked forward to receiving & building the second piece.
What we have at the end of it all is as I eluded to earlier two lovely pieces of furniture, that whilst easily fall within the bracket of reasonably priced, look way more expensive that they cost to buy!
A couple of months on (sorry for the delay OF, in leaving the review) we remain well happy with the wardrobe & chest of drawers purchased.

You really get the impression that this is a well-oiled machine, with folk that are invested in the running of their business, hence we will without hesitation make Own Furniture the first port of call for any future requirements.

Do not give this company your hard earned cash. Absolutely s***show from start to never ending finish. Been chasing a parcel that was supposedly delivered to my receptionist. I live in an end terraced house and guess what... And I don't have a receptionist. Anyway apparently the wardrobe I ordered has been delivered and that the end of that, but guess what it isn't. I haven't received it. The courier this company used, FedEx were just as bad, ignoring emails and phone calls promises to ring back but they never did.

Edit: I've been told that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the seller is responsible for the goods until the customer receives them, not merely until they are left in a public place near the delivery address. So OWN furniture seems to be breaking the law by not giving me a refund. If PayPal cannot help I will go to my bank because I refuse to be £100 + out of pocket.

Update: Totally unhelpful, dumped package wherever they wanted - 2 streets over, told the guy whose house it was to keep it if the company doesn't come collect it because there was no way we could carry it back to our house. Told my bank the situation and they refunded straightaway.

Bought a living room cabinet for my mother on their website and paid for next day delivery. 4 days in a row (so far) they've delayed the delivery of the item without reason and it's looking like a scam at this point. Very disappointed with their service and would not order from there again.

Their reply isn't accurate at all, it did not arrive the same day that we called and complained.

Good service , however waiting over a month for it to become in stock . Dates changed but no comms to keep us informed , however easy to assemble and will buy from again

Very bad quality

Ordered a wardrobe which I am happy with, but when delivered there were several pieces that unfortunately were marked.

However, I understand that this can happen especially with certain couriers if you are using a third party. So it’s how you fix the problem and Katie in customer service was excellent, ordering me replacement parts and keeping me updated on the process.

I will be happy to order from them again because I can trust that if there is a problem I know it will get sorted out and I won’t have to send multiple emails chasing, which can happen with other companies .

Absolutely terrible company I bought a wardrobe of them I tried putting it together and it’s all warped it won’t go together plus it’s scratched and they won’t give me a refund back

Outstanding Customer Service, from the date I ordered the 5 pairs of Hereford dining room chairs on 13th Feb 2025 until the delivey of the goods. i was kept well informed of a delivery date and received brilliant service from Katie in the Customer Service team. Even when items arrived and there was a small issue, Katie gave 110% attention to resolve the issue with a next day delivery. A superb Company to do business with and I would certainly recommend their products, especially when they have a brilliant team to support them
