I'm appalled at the quality of their…
I'm appalled at the quality of their furniture and customer service. I bought a flat pack chest of drawers from Own Furniture and they're unusable, despite being built correctly. I've had to buy another set from a different company. The drawers don't sit straight; they don't close or open properly, and fall out whenever they're even slightly opened. They're easily the poorest quality item I've ever bought, and they weren't especially cheap. I'm very disappointed. I've been in contact with the customer service team several times to request a collection and refund, and they're giving me every excuse not to do anything about it. I've sent multiple photos and videos showing how bad the drawers are, and I'm being palmed off time and time again. I'm seeking advice from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute and my bank, because I've clearly been ripped off by this scam company.
Re the response: the company ordered me to disassemble the drawers and have it boxed in order to send it back. I don't understand why they couldn't collect it built - now it's completely useless as, surprise surprise, it fell to pieces during disassembly. I'll probably now have to pay a professional to remove it anyway, so it's cost me more money. This company is a complete scam. AVOID. I'm still waiting for a solution more than 2 months on. They have not offered a solution and are being deliberately difficult.

We're very sorry to hear about the frustration and disappointment this situation has caused. We want to reassure you that our customer service team are not making excuses, we are genuinely trying to offer helpful guidance and tips to resolve the issue for you.
At present, we are awaiting images of the chest of drawers boxed, sealed and ready for collection to ensure it can be safely transported, as the only image we currently have shows it in a laundry bag. Unfortunately, it isn't safe to send it through the courier network in that bag.
We are more than happy to arrange collection and a refund once the item is safely packaged. Heavy-duty bin bags or similar protective packaging can be used, and as soon as we receive confirmation with images, we can proceed with a collection and process your refund.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to safely resolve this issue.
Update: To clarify, we do not require the item to be returned in its original packaging. You had mentioned in an email that you had boxes available at home following your house move, which is why we suggested using those. However, we have confirmed that as long as the item is suitably packaged and protected for a safe transit, we can arrange the collection without issue.

The triple wardrobe,poor service,quality
The triple wardrobe we bought was damaged on delivery, the company said the photos we sent were not good enough. We got the delivery driver to take pictures so they had there pictures as well.The company were very unhelpful, the wardrobe poor quality, I WOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Wardrobe arrived with multiple pieces damaged. Customer services organised replacements which took a week to come an 2 pieces are damaged again. Nightmare of an experience and would highly avoid this company, I’ll either have to wait for more replacements or look for a full refund depending what they say.

Quality for the price is rubbish
Quality for the price you pay is substandard and the parts do not always match up. Cheap plastic handles and the items look nothing like the pictures on the website. Wardrobes are slightly flimsy some of the fixings snapped when trying to use them. Unless you wnat cheap looking items for a high price avoid at all costs.
I did check the items when I received them but couldn't put them together for some time so therefore when I did actually put them together and find that some bits did not match up was very annoying.

Overpriced with bad instructions
The drawers were of cheap construction and had awful instructions. This has resulted in an overpriced chest of drawers that doesn’t even look good.

Terrible experience buying a wardrobe…
Terrible experience buying a wardrobe from this company !
First of all, the order was delayed and after calling customer service (they didn’t even bother to inform me), turned out there were some damaged parts that needed to be replaced. I had to ask them to hurry as I was going away for two weeks and didn’t want them to deliver it when I am away. The order was delivered a day before my trip away, but I didn’t have a time to assemble it.
When I returned, I arranged with a tradesman to assemble the wardrobe, just to discover there was a missing box with some parts of the wardrobe. Emailed customer service right away to demand the missing box (apparently it was the box with damaged through transition parts). Had to ask tradesman to come back another time when all boxes delivered. When the last box arrived, tradesman discovered that the parts in that box were damaged. But I couldn’t bother to send them back and forward anymore - I paid already tradesman for the labour and he just got on with the assembly.
Highly disappointed and dissatisfied, I emailed Own Furniture Customer Service asking for some sort of compensation, but they refused and offered to send replacement for damaged parts. I sent them the number of damaged parts that needs to be replaced, but still one week on and no sign of dispatching… What can I say ?
I am so frustrated by such poor and unprofessional service ! Strongly do not recommend to buy from them.
The quality of the wardrobe isn’t that great either - you’d find a better quality from IKEA. Despite it’s wide, it’s very short and if you have long clothes to hang on rail, they won’t fit. This is the very reason I’ve chosen this wardrobe, because I have too many long clothes to store and saw a long rail, but it became useless after discovering how low rails hanging. The holders of the rails are placed closer to the doors (not sure why not in the middle), which make clothes sticking out from the wardrobe and pulling wardrobe forward with the weight. All in all very bad and unpleasant experience - costed me way too much stress and inconvenience ! Which do not worth of that value and quality.

I can see that one of the boxes had unfortunately been damaged in transit, but as soon as our customer service team were made aware, a replacement box was dispatched straight away. We do rely on external couriers for deliveries, and in this instance it does seem they let you down with the timing.
We do ask customers to thoroughly inspect all parts before beginning assembly to avoid any further inconvenience. As the wardrobe was assembled with some damage, we were only able to provide replacement parts in this situation. I can see you require just one replacement part, which has since been dispatched for you.
With regards to the hanging rail, the full dimensions and internal photos are available on our product listing to help guide expectations before purchase. I bought the Hong Kong marble bedside…
I bought the Hong Kong marble bedside cabinet and its beautiful. It was delivered on the day they stated by 2 very friendly and helpful guys. I particularly wanted a fully assembled cabinet as im not the best at flatpack and the only part which needed assembling were the legs. I naively thought they would just be screw in but they were higher grade than that. I contacted customer service, by email, to request the assembly instructions, i really couldnt work it out, and spoke to Will who was fantastic. He apologised they werent included, but in his defence most people probably wouldnt have needed them! He emailed the instructions to me, after they were sent to him, just an hour or so later. Impressive! All in all a lovely item, brilliant communication, good quality and great value. Will be back! 🙂

Ordered bedside self assembly unit
Ordered bedside self assembly unit. Twice had to contact them as parts missing. When finally assembled the numbers printed on the pieces don’t run off. They offered my £6.90 They can’t send me new parts as they admit they can’t get numbers to come off. Said because I made it up they can refund me. I’m not going to rub numbers off before its assembled. 🤷♀️ I’m taking it further. AVOID customer service are not aware of the sale of goods act
