Not impressed

Its batch came in damaged. Said we’d keep it. Seemed ok. They sent two more automatically that we had to get approval to return. Ordered different kind of whips, requested 2 day shipping at $313 for two boxes so we would get by Memorial Day. They sent regular shipping. They returned shipping cost. Totally screwed up our holiday weekend. Tried to return 1 box because we didn’t need anymore and they wanted to charge $363 for shipping on $598 item. Doesn’t make sense as two day for two boxes was $313. No response. Not impressed at all with the company. Staff I spoke to didn’t speak or understand English very well either. Won’t buy there again.

Ordering is nothing but a hassle

Ordering is nothing but a hassle. I ordered online and it said someone will contact me for shipping cost. I chatted with an employee through their text chat and she said shipping was showing $0 on her end and the order was good to go. Then I get an email later that night (after closing time) that shipping was in fact not free and I needed to call someone else to finish this order. I have never struggled so much to order something ever, and the employees do not seem to have the same information (since I had 2 different answers). Would not recommend ordering from here!

I ordered boat deck vinyl in Nov '23…

I ordered boat deck vinyl in Nov '23 ($1500) just before we headed south for the winter.
The order was drop-shipped to a local professional installer who would do the job when the boat's turn came up in the que. When they brought the boat in (Jan) and started to open the flooring package they discovered the vinyl was defective, 95% of the wrapping was still intact.
I called Customer Disservice and the 1st call went ignored. I called back and they had a record of the 1st call and this time they told me to call the manufacturer. Overton's sold the product, why should I call the manufacturer?
The sale is in dispute and I'm done with Overton's

I bought a Solas prop from their…

I bought a Solas prop from their "propfinder" app. Overton's had the best price so I clicked their link. I received a completely wrong prop. The problem was with Overton's link. They took no ownership of the problem, I even emailed the CEO through his "direct" link that allegedly wanted direct communication. 5 phone calls, 5 emails. I still have a useless prop. Out $100 and Overton's could seem to care less.
Horrible customer service.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Tried getting off their email list for 4 months. I called several times and was promised I was removed. Still getting spam mail. This company is horrible. I even emailed the president without results. Horrible costumer service starts at the top here. The President has no clue how to run a company. I hope Good Sam stops working with this company soon!

Horrible horrible customers service

I ordered an expensive teak table from Overtons. The actual size of the table is much bigger that the specs indicate. I have been trying to return the table for 4 weeks now. Now I must get my lawyer involved.

Ordered a near $400 marine part

Ordered a near $400 marine part. Paid on May 14. After 10 days called. Rude customer service TWICE. Both saying they drop ship directly from vendors and it could take 7-10 days. I was over 10 days. Demand money back. Wont shop at Overtones again. Ordered from another company got my package within 24 hours.

This Company is Messed Up!

Big hassle using their automated return system, so I called and the woman told me I would have to return the items in 2 boxes. Finally I called back a 3rd time, and after 20 minutes on the phone, the guy sent me a return shipping label. Then I get an email saying that if I have any questions or complaints, to contact the president of the company, but the email address listed is not valid. This company is messed up!!!

Liars

I ordered a $2400 item from overtons in July 2022 and nine months later still have not received the item. I was lied to by multiple overtons employees telling me that the item already shipped directly from the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacture who told me the payment was never made by Overton‘s, and therefore no shipment was made. This company has no integrity. They had no intention of ever shipping this item. They’ve held my money for nine months and I have no recourse but to report the sale as fraudulent to my credit card company to get my money back. They have told me they credited my credit card account and did not. I would avoid purchasing anything from overtons in all circumstances.

I recently bought an XL/L FullThrottle…

I recently bought an XL/L FullThrottle Lifejacket from Overtons. It is not buoyant. It fills up with water and becomes very heavy. This is very dangerous considering it supposed to do the opposite . Overtons wont refund or replace item

Should be no stars. Their adult life jacket is not big enough for adults. No free shipping back. Even asked for the pictures proving that it was too small for adults. Would never use them ever again

If I could give it zero stars I would.

If I could give it zero stars I would.. ordered a Bimini that didn’t fit my boat .. was told it was not refundable.. then was told they would accept my return if I shipped it.. 160$ for a custom box .. then another 494$ for fedex freight shipping.. then I called and told them I was not paying more than my Bimini cost to return it.. they sent a custom label to fedex .. finally after 2 weeks later .. they gave me my refund but subtracted 15$ of my purchase Ti give me a 15$ off credit if I spend 150$ .. like what? They didn’t actually refund all the money I spent and didn’t pay the 160$ I had to spend to have a custom box made due to size 😩😩😩

Do NOT trust this company

Do not trust this company! I paid for and placed an order at which time they charged my Visa and sent me a completed order which showed that they charge my card, and the total. The itemization of the completed purchase said there was no charge for shipping. This charge showed up on my credit card statement of which I immediately paid. Overton's contacted my yesterday and said Oops there's an additional $120.00 shipping fee and this paid for item would not be sent out until this additional amount is paid! I'm looking at the paid in full receipt so this should tell you the kind of a scam they've got going. Our address was obviously entered when I made the purchase and there was a zero charge for shipping on the invoice after I entered our address which is why I completed the purchase. Our address is in Hawaii. We frequently order online and always wait to place an order until after our address is entered and the total including shipping charges are reviewed. We NEVER order an item if shipping is charged. We are still waiting for the $164.00 to be credited back to our card and will have to file a dispute. What a scam they've got going!

Beware - Do not get scammed

Ordered a $300 ladder from Overton’s. They refused to ship it for 5 weeks. I spoke to 4 different people and they all said they can’t call the warehouse and they can only send an email. I said that sounded like BS and the guy said I’ve worked here for twenty years and we’ve never been able to call the warehouse! So turns out all 4 people never sent the emails to the warehouse, every person not following the process sounds fishy to me. And really, why doesn’t their system flag orders that haven’t been fulfilled for over a month??

During this fiasco I had made a comment to them that I was Really disappointed in the customer service because I could easily order from something like Amazon but I try to support smaller businesses. Fast forward a few weeks, I realize I need to return a few of the items I ordered. Ordering online is complicated sometimes because you can’t really see it or feel it. When I called for the return they said because the item is the fact if I have to pay for shipping!! Like what year is this 1995??

So I would advise against ordering from Overton‘s at all. But if you’re going to order from overtons make sure it’s the exact item you want because you may not be able to return it and make sure you don’t need it immediately because it could take over a month to get to you.

.They lied to me

Two weeks ago, I called to check to see if a certain outboard was in stock. There were 2, I bought 1 and was told it would be 10 business days until i received it. Two weeks passed. I want on line to see the status. It was not listed. I called and was told it was out of stock and on back order. Previous places I called said it would be months (and months) until they replenished their own stock. I cancelled my order. I don't like being lied to and since I had a new boat and trailer waiting to close the deal on receipt of the motor the deal almost went south. I found another dealer (at a cheaper price, no tax or shipping charge) and the motor will be here 1 week after placing the order

I don't believe they actually have any…

I don't believe they actually have any customer service agents. Just awful hold music and a repetitive message. Waiting for 3 weeks on a refund. Glad i shipped back with tracking, i can see the items was received but no $$ yet back to me. Stay away if you expect any level of service....

Terrible Service

Placed an order over 2 weeks ago and it hasn't even been shipped yet. There is no answer on the customer service line or live chat, no response to emails.
At this point all I want to do is cancel the order, but there is no visible way to do that. Overtons is Not Recommended.

High Quality Product And Excellent Service

I caught a good discount late night June 21,2021 on a 3 Waters Big Fish 120 Kayak on Overton's website so I purchased it. They sent me a heads up email on July 9,2021 that my order had shipped. My new kayak arrived today
July 13,2021 in excellent condition. The packaging was excellent and I am very pleased with my order.
