Basically, We had a leek coming from our toilet waste pipe which started in December 2025, I took a further 7 visits from their plumber over the next 5 months to repair the issue and leave us with a toilet screwed to a plank of wood with warning tape around it because within that time the leek had gotten so bad that the ceiling collapsed and the bathroom floor was damaged. The company that they use for plumbing eventually fixed my ceiling but openfix are now point blank refusing to fix the damage they has caused and I was told by one of their so called customer service staff that it's tough, and my responsibility to repair damage that they cause, as mentioned in the small print.
Asbestos was apparently found under the toilet which they will not deal with and now we're left in this position. I have taken advise from an Asbestos specialist who informs me that the asbestos would of been safe if the repair had been done correctly in the first place and is now.only an issue because their plumber has disturbed it. They will not transfer me to anyone higher in the chain to resolve this and therefore have left me and my family at risk, but they simply don't care .
Absolutely disgusting and they've had the cheek to send.my renewal through now costing me £16 more than I currently pay.
Just be careful with this company

Openfix did a great job at my house, fixing my boiler, although initially they thought it wasn't something covered under the boiler cover.

I have used Open Fix on several occasions now, as I’ve had a few different issues with my boiler over the past few month's. Each time they’ve come out quickly to sort the problem, and every single engineer has been absolutely brilliant — always pleasant, polite, and explained exactly what was wrong and what they were doing to fix it. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and every repair has been done to a really high standard first time round. It’s such a relief to find a company you can actually rely on. I would highly recommend Open Fix to anyone!

The Engineer arrived to service my boiler in the loft, and then refused to go up there, telling me it was dangerous. The Loft is well boarded and lit.
The Boiler has been serviced in that house for over 13 years by various engineers.
Openfix will not service boilers if they are in the loft, but they don't inform you until they arrive.
Be aware of that snippet of information. It's in the T&C's but they were most unhelpful when trying to sort it out. They quoted the T&C's at me.
I would not recommend them

Rip off cancellation policy
OF claim they can't cancel a policy ,until cancellation charges are paid, despite making clear i want to cancel the policies, bad advising them that the DD had been cancelled.
Please stay away from this company, gp with a reputable more recognised name
