Thank you for your feedback. We would, however, like to clarify an important point regarding how Online Training Academy operates.

Online Training Academy is a Canadian-based online learning platform, and our .ca domain reflects the location and operation of the platform. It does not mean that every course published on the platform is written exclusively for Canadian legislation or Canadian regulatory requirements.

Our platform hosts training developed and published by instructors and course providers from different countries around the world, covering a wide range of professional and CPD subjects. As a result, some courses may reference legislation, terminology or professional practice relevant to a particular jurisdiction, including the UK.

Where a learner requires training specifically aligned with Canadian provincial or federal legislation, we always recommend reviewing the course description and learning outcomes before enrolment to ensure that the content is suitable for their particular professional or regulatory purpose.

For that reason, we do not believe describing the website as “dishonest” or “misleading” accurately reflects the nature of the platform. Nevertheless, we take your concern seriously and will review the presentation of this particular course to ensure that its jurisdictional context is communicated as clearly as possible to prospective learners.

If you contact our support team with your order details, we will review your enrolment and the course you purchased. If the course was not appropriate for the Canadian requirements you intended to meet, we will resolve the matter and arrange a refund where appropriate.

We are also preparing a Canadian-focused version of the Child Protection course. Once this version is ready, we will be happy to provide you with access to it as well.

We would like to clarify that the course you purchased is a CPD-accredited, knowledge-based training programme, designed to provide structured learning and professional development.

The course format and learning style are clearly presented in advance through the Demo section, allowing learners to see how the training is delivered before enrolling. The course provided therefore reflects the format, content and learning approach shown and described on the course page.

The programme covers a broad range of practical knowledge areas, including tools and equipment, electrical basics, plumbing, appliance maintenance, carpentry, general maintenance, decorating, safety and related topics.

While we appreciate that different learners may have different expectations, we believe the course was delivered in line with the information and Demo provided before purchase.

When you accessed the course, it was in the middle of a major upgrade. The first section had already been updated to our newer, more engaging format, while the remaining section was still using the previous voiceover and presentation style. This explains the noticeable difference you experienced—the content remained relevant and industry-standard, but the presentation update was still in progress.

We’re pleased to confirm that the entire course has now been fully updated with more natural narration, improved visuals, clearer explanations and better pacing. We have also added several new topics to make the course even more comprehensive.
