Is this legal?
It is not clear from the letter we were sent that this is independent from Companies House. They are very quick to charge and then didn't deliver as their connectivity was poor. We did not proceed and they didn't actually do anything for us but have refused to pay a full refund, only £50. This is borderline legal in my view. They sit behind T&C's which are not contained in their letter. I would strongly recommend you do not engage.

We are officially registered by Companies House as an Authorised Filing Software Provider and Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), and are supervised by HMRC for anti-money laundering compliance. The communication you received was sent by Online Filings and included our company name, logo and contact details, together with information about our service. Further details about our authorisations, pricing and how our service works are also provided on our website before checkout, with the Companies House fee and our service fee shown separately for transparency.
In relation to your order, your filing could not be submitted because the required Companies House authentication code had not been provided. The authentication code is a mandatory security requirement set by Companies House and acts as the company's electronic signature, meaning no filing can be submitted without it. Information about this requirement, along with how the code is requested, is available in our How It Works and FAQs before an order is placed.

I feel completely misled by this company. The website gives the impression that you're using an official filing service, when in reality it's a third-party business charging additional fees for something that can often be done directly.
I ended up paying for a service I didn't need because I genuinely believed it was the official route. The way the service is presented is, in my opinion, misleading and left me feeling scammed.
I would strongly recommend that anyone considering using this service checks whether they can file directly with Companies House before paying any fees.

For what it has to achieve it is pretty-much as good as it can be.
However, I was dismayed at the amount of privacy I was required to sacrifice. We are becoming a surveilance state, thats is just not British!!!
