I’ve purchased my Rolex Day-Date 40mm White gold, olive green dial watch from Oakbury Watches in Lichfield. My experience with Dominic was excellent from the very beginning to the end. Super friendly and professional service, 5+ stars, highly recommended if you wish to buy or PX. Thank you very much again for the kind business!

Oakbury Failed to Complete an Agreed Sale

I agreed a sale price with Oakbury for a Rolex Daytona. I signed their paperwork, provided full ID and personal details, and was ready to complete. Then came the excuses — a supposed ‘bank flag’ on my account, failed transfers, and two days of delays.
Their claim that my account was flagged turned out to be false. I successfully received a payment from another buyer the same day using the same account — with no issues whatsoever.

During the delays Oakbury suggested an unknown third party might buy the watch — with no context or assurance about who they were. I had no choice but to find my own buyer at the last minute, rushing to complete before my flight home and ultimately selling for less than agreed.

Oakbury did not honour their agreement, fabricated excuses about payment issues, and cost me both time and money. Make sure any payment terms are fully guaranteed before signing anything or sharing personal details.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry it didn't end the way either of us hoped, but the account given here doesn't reflect what actually happened, and we'd like to respectfully set the record straight.

Because of the international nature of the account provided and the value involved, the bank details were subject to routine verification — a standard step on high-value transactions that protects both buyer and seller. This was communicated openly throughout.
When alternative bank details were subsequently provided, a test payment was attempted and returned. Given that inconsistency, and with the watch still in your possession pending cleared funds, we made the responsible decision not to proceed. At no point were excuses fabricated, and the transaction was not stalled for "days" without explanation.

Oakbury holds full documentation of the verification process and the returned payment, but out of respect for your privacy we won't be sharing it publicly. We always honour agreed terms where it's safe and compliant to do so, and we take client security and responsible transaction handling extremely seriously — especially on watches at this level.

We'd welcome the chance to discuss this with you directly and resolve any remaining concerns offline. Please feel free to contact us directly.

Amazing Company

Visiting Oakbury yesterday for the first time was an amazing experience. The staff are so welcoming and Brad and William really were incredible. They certainly know their watches. They took their time with us and my husband was so pleased with the watch that he purchased. A special shout out to Dominique who I first spoke to and who stayed in touch throughout this journey. Gentlemen thank you for your help, this certainly won’t be the last time we see you.

Easy from start to finish

Easy from start to finish, Item exactly as described (tick), Delivery next day (tick), item looks fantastic (tick), I did have a problem transferring funds but with a lot of understanding and help from Oakbury Watches and in particular Will Potter all was eventually sorted. My bank wasn't very helpful at all. I'm very much looking forwards to wearing my new watch. Many thanks to Oakbury Watches for their brilliant service. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Rolex Submariner

Bought a 2025 Rolex Submariner (non date) in April 26. I dealt with Brad from the Lichfield office. The whole process was very smooth and professional and we negotiated a fair deal including trade in on my existing Rolex "Bluesey". Due to my paranoia about the number of "super clones" on the market at the moment I have had the watch independently authenticated. As expected, no issues whatsoever.
Great offices in Lichfield and great people to deal with. Would highly recommend.

Absolute Pleasure to Deal With.

Absolute pleasure to deal with, from start to finish a top notch service very helpful and informative about the whole experience of buying from Oakbury Watches, and very happy with my purchase, been looking for a while but these guys found the watch I wanted and the price was perfect, will definitely be using again.

The customer service here is second to none. The team took the time to understand what I was looking for and guided me through Rolex options without pressure. Brads in particular expertise made the experience enjoyable and reassuring. I left with a watch I truly love and complete peace of mind.
