Shady Business Practices
After subscribing to Now TV for one month, I later discovered that my subscription had automatically transitioned into a monthly renewal. Consequently, over the course of twelve months, I incurred charges amounting to nearly five hundred pounds, despite not utilizing the service during that time. Upon attempting to sign up again, I realized I was already a member. I watched two hours of sports content and subsequently decided to cancel my subscription.
When I contacted the company regarding the matter, they informed me that they could only provide a partial refund for the final month, citing that I had used the service. Despite explaining that I had logged in only once at the very end of the twelve-month period, they maintained that their company policy restricted them to refunding only a small portion of the amount. I find this to be a questionable business practice.
As a pensioner with limited financial resources, a refund of five hundred pounds would have been of significant assistance to me. Based on this experience, I would never consider using Now TV again. I suspect that those in charge, if they were to review this situation, would dismiss it without concern and proceed with their penal refund policy. I strongly believe that companies should act with integrity and, in cases where individuals have made an honest mistake, should demonstrate flexibility by making reasonable exceptions.
The no ads option is a complete lie
The no ads option is a complete lie you have to sit through a 40 -60 second advert every time you watch something or it clicks over to the next episode. How this isn't false advertisement I don't know.
Even though it's advertising your products it's still an advertisement NOW.
Beware of NOW signup
Be very very careful what you signup for. If you make a simple mistake and click the term contract while simply seeking a one off usage I can assure you that nobody at NOW will listen to your requests to cancel. They obviously never make a mistake You would be far better to use SKY
Its a very poor expensive service
Its a very poor expensive service. Unethical business model. I don’t want a 24month contract so I pay as I go so to speak for sky sports. This sounds ideal, fair even. The quality of the picture is poor without paying extra for the boost.. this is only available on a month subscription. Today the sound is out of sync.. the advice? Do this do that .. none of it works. Having been a subscriber it is so obviously sub standard. Its my opinion that this is deliberate sabotage from sky trying to force my hand to sign up for 24 months to get the stability and the quality. They have no loyalty to customers. Loyal customers are treated poorly with inflated prices and make it so difficult to downgrade yet an upgrade is done within seconds. It is a rip off.
App is terrible
You can do anything to the app on one tv but it still won't let you watch your subscription on another TV. Netflix, prime and countless other apps don't have this issue. I shouldn't have to go into the nitty gritty settings for an app so it works elsewhere. Really frustrating. Is it that unusual that I want to watch what I was watching in the living room upstairs? The mind boggles.
Months subscription for sports
Paid for a months subscription to sky sports, watched one game on the day I subscribed and couldn’t watch another one through the duration of purchase, menus all working fine however as soon as I pressed stream an error message would appear. Contacted customer support, was unable to help and forwarded me on to the technical team, forwarded on videos, pictures, tried multiple times to do things at there request and they stopped replying, closed down the case in there system, I reopened another case with my case number attached and no reply. Horrendous customer service feel like I’ve been ripped off and would never join again.
Scam
I used a free trial to watch a show I had been wanting to watch. I then cancelled so that I would not be charged for a subscription, however I was charged the next month without signing up. I then tried to cancel the subscription I had not signed up too, to find that I was in a year contract paying monthly and could not cancel. I have been charged for 5 ish months so have lost around £40. Absolutely appalling company! They will try take your money any means possible.
Waiting for Now TV to upload Formula 1…
Waiting for Now TV to upload Formula 1 sessions.
As a paying subscriber who primarily uses the service to watch Formula 1, I find the current system extremely frustrating, particularly for races taking place in time zones such as China, Japan, or Australia.
For example, the recent Chinese Grand Prix sprint race took place at approximately 2:55am UK time. As this is not a practical time for many viewers to watch live, I expected to watch the session on catch-up shortly afterwards. However, the full sprint replay has been uploaded and it is now 3pm on a Saturday. I pay nearly £40 and I still don’t know who won the sprint race. At the same time, qualifying for the race was already being broadcast live, meaning that if I watched qualifying I would almost certainly have the sprint result spoiled by commentary. It’s a shambles.
This effectively puts viewers in a position where we cannot watch either session without risking spoilers. To make matters worse, the NOW interface often uploads highlight clips first (such as “Sprint Highlights” or “Qualifying Hits”), which can easily reveal the outcome before the full session is even available.
For a sports streaming service, particularly one charging a premium subscription, this is not an acceptable user experience. Many viewers rely on catch-up when sessions occur overnight in the UK, and the current delay in uploading full replays makes it very difficult to follow the sport properly.
I would therefore ask that NOW consider the following improvements:
• Upload full session replays much more quickly after broadcast.
• Provide a clear spoiler-free viewing option for customers who cannot watch live.
• Ensure that highlight clips do not appear before full replays, or clearly label them to prevent accidental spoilers.
I enjoy the coverage and commentary provided by Sky Sports F1, but the current catch-up system significantly undermines the value of the service for fans who cannot watch sessions live.
I hope this feedback can be taken seriously and used to improve the platform for Formula 1 viewers.

My six month old could've written a better program menu than now how are you supposed to find anything on it? Absolutely ridiculous. The people there at now TV must be very very uneducated and thick.
No sign of any customer service
I’ve been trying to resolve a billing issue with NOW for nearly a month and have been completely ignored at every turn.
It started with a £9.99 Sky Cinema charge I never knowingly signed up for. I spotted it, cancelled immediately, and asked politely for a refund. No response. I followed up twice more. Still nothing.
Then a second charge appeared on my account for a high-resolution picture quality boost, now running on an account with no active subscription to actually watch anything. So I was being charged to enhance the picture quality of content.
I’ve tried every channel going. A series of emails ignored. Called their support line and was told I couldn’t connect due to “technical issues.” No reply on Instagram. There is no way to reach anyone, and no acknowledgement that your complaint even exists.
The £18 isn’t the issue anymore - it’s the principle. A company that applies charges with no clear consent, then makes it virtually impossible to dispute them, shouldn’t be trusted with your payment details.
Think very carefully before signing up.

NowTV has gone to the dumps
NowTV has gone to the dumps. Their 'customer support' team is now only reachable by email, however they take their mighty time in getting back to you. I've had an ongoing issue with them for over a month, having cancelled my service with them - and them owing me money as they keep taking money out of my account, owing me a compensation fee, and failing to actually submit the cancellation of my line.
I have rung their phone number a handful of times to present my case and each time a different employee offers me a different type of compensation - but how strange! They refuse to send me this compensation in writing when I ask them to. So what happens? The next employee I speak to has no record of what's been promised to me. I've been told to write to their customer service team (as they do not have a number), and I have not gotten a response. I get sent automate emails saying my case has been closed (it is not), and in the body of the email it says to respond to that same email to reopen the case. Oh, but what happens then? I immediately receive an email back saying that that email address' inbox isn't supervised anymore, so no one is going to read my email.
I ring up their phone line and explain, yet again, my situation to an employee, and they answer me very rudely - stating to me T&Cs that do not apply to me, and when I kindly say this, they cut me off THREATENING ME to re-activate my line if I do not let them say all of the T&Cs to me. What????
What is going on? Feels like I'm going in circles and getting scammed.
I will be approaching the Financial Ombudsman about this.
DO NOT BOTHER WITH NOWTV.
Appalling
Appalling. I signed up by mistake for a plan with a minimum term. I had no idea; otherwise I would never have signed up. It was NOT made clear enough during sign-up. I just wanted to watch some programmes while I was ill. Customer service was useless and refused to cancel it for me. Now I'm locked into a service that I need to carry on paying for, but definitely won't use (too busy!).

Singed up for what i understood to be a flexible plan, but have now been told im in contract for a year. Tried to speak with the customer service team about cancelling who were not very helpful, just repeating i was in a 12 month contract. Have been a customer over the years and never had an issue previously. Very disappointing.
Absolutely terrible company
Absolutely terrible company
Exceptionally easy to sign yourself up for a minimum-term contract, so now have a 12 month subscription when intended to spend £6 for a month to watch 2 movies. Apparently I also signed up for a £6 bimonthly "boost" that I don't recall asking for.
Incredibly useless chatbots, very difficult to speak to a real person. Also the streaming service is actively bad. It seems they've upped the FPS on everything, frequently jitters when streaming so random frames flash up during cuts.
Thieves
I requested the cancellation of broadband which took several weeks. They also took a monthly fee out of my mother's bank account well after that request was made. I asked for the money back and after several calls was promised that all I had to do was put new card details onto the account webpage. I did this and nothing happened.
I asked again and after putting the requested account information in, as requested in their text message, was told that I hadn't supplied sufficient information.
So, I did this again and got the same reply. So they have stolen a months subscription fee.
Absolutely dreadful
Don't ever join them
Have sneakily increased my broadband from £27 to £35, no way to contact them.
Turns out they hide any information you might need to leave. No way to find out your 'customer account number' or landline number. It's not put on bills or in the account settings. It's not in the contract emails when you join them
No chat help for broadband users.
All done on purpose to make leaving them impossible
The behavior broadband providers can get away with....
Overpriced and ridiculously expensive
Overpriced and ridiculously expensive. Poor streaming quality, lots of glitches and far too many adverts. Avoid.
