I very much liked the online access it was simple and accessible even though after creating a password it always required a password. Things changed after completing the pension pot claim . After I had waited the three working days I was told it would take to process when I got online online chat things got awkward the consultant online needed confirmation and the confirmation was already submitted I was told I had two accounts they needed to medge them another wait of 7 days by then I voiced out my unhappiness with the progress of the application that o initially was told the processing only takes 7 days after submitting the required documents . The other confusing factor they made it sound like there were accounts to be medged in which case after all that the medging of the accounts did not exactly change the initial ammount . So I really do not understand what to see all your pension pots in one page meant. I received the claimed money three days after receiving the letter requesting a review for money that had still not reached my account .
I have to say many of the retired customers perhaps do not claim or would find it distressing to claim because it does not happen for a long time and the ammount has deductions I did not believe that I received much less than what I thought as you are always made to believe the pension pot included the employer and customer contributions. I would not recommend joining these pension schemes they have absolutely no benefit for the customer at the end

I recently withdrew my pension with now.u as a lump sum. They were very helpful when we spoke on the phone. And I received my payment in 10 days as promised. A pain less experience without fuss. A good service I would say.

Awful outfit to deal with. Almost impossible to speak to a human and when you do it will be a call-centre in goodness knows where. In an industry fraught with shysters this is one at the head of the field. Use ANY other provider but not this lot. I cant even open their emails because they need the account number to do so. I defy anyone to be able to get that number. I wasted most of an afternoon trying to sort this out and it is impossible.

Our experience with Now:pensions during a bereavement claim has been extremely disappointing.
My partner passed away at a young age and since January 2026 his mother and I have been trying to process his workplace pension claim. From the beginning, the process has been poorly handled and lacked in empathy.
Our first contact appeared to be with someone who was not properly trained in bereavement support, even basic details were handled carelessly including getting my partner’s mother’s first name wrong on official paperwork sent to us!
We then returned the forms as soon as possible but the claim was then placed on hold because the official death certificate had not yet been issued. As soon as we received it in April 2026, we sent it straight away via recorded delivery. Two weeks later, we were then asked for additional documents that could and should have been requested at the same time as the original paperwork. The process feels completely piecemeal, which only adds further stress and frustration for a grieving family.
Recently, when we called for an update and after being put on hold for 15 minutes we were told they could not provide any timeframe for a decision or even give an indication of the amount due to be paid. The response was simply that 'we just have to wait for them to decide' which was unhelpful and dismissive.
It's unfortunate this was the pension provider used by my partner's employer. What makes this even harder is that we are waiting on this payout to help cover funeral costs, yet there has been no clear communication around timescales or progress.
Please do think twice before choosing this company as your pension provider.

I applied to take my pension of £100 out on the 1/5/2026. As of today 14/5/2026 l am still waiting for it despite being told it would only take a week. I am glad l am not desperate for it. I have had problems with this firm in the past before, and l would never use them again for anything.
