I bought a new Russell Hobbs kettle last week and, as instructed, filled and boiled and emptied it twice. When I inspected the inside of the kettle I saw the floor was discoloured, as if it had degra... See more

Russell Hobbs Warranty means nothing
Russel Hobbs Satisfryer bought 13 months ago still have 2 years warranty left. The element was failing only cooking food on one side. The company asked for pics of the machine and food pics. All sent. Then asking what programmes im using and if im tossing and turning food which of course I do half way through. Then they want me to return machine for them to check and wait upto 4 weeks for next steps. I can't wait 4 weeks ive already spent a week emailing. They're doing their best not to honour the warranty. Never buying this brand again
Russell Hobbs Kettle Price is Right…
4 Russell Hobbs Kettle average Lifespan was about 3 Years+ , In use Daily and will Purchase the same Kettle the next time. Warranty Process was a bit slow with lots of Proof, Original Receipt Required.
I bought a Russell Hobbs microwave 6…
I bought a Russell Hobbs microwave 6 months ago and its broke- it just started sparking during use. I contacted the manufacturer who confirmed that the spark was caused by dirt inside the microwave that was left uncleaned? They have not physically examined the appliance to come to this conclussion, all communication was done via the emails. They advised me to buy a part and replace it myself? I explained i was not comfortable doing this and that i did not feel it was safe. They refused to replace the microwave. I strongly advise not to purchase Russell Hobbs appliances.
Cheap and nasty
Quick review. If you want a nice cup of tea do not buy a Russell Hobbs brita filter kettle. I don't know whats in the filter but it makes the tea taste horrible. Cheap small plastic kettle too.
A masterclass in bad customer care
I bought a Russell Hobbs cooker for my tenants, assuming I was buying from a reliable, established brand. Unfortunately, the cooker proved otherwise.
Just over a year later, one of the hobs failed while still under warranty. Russell Hobbs arranged a repair visit, but the engineer was unable to fix the fault and decided the cooker would need to be replaced.
So far, so good.
My tenants then went through the inconvenience of having the old cooker disconnected and removed in preparation for the replacement. When the replacement finally arrived, it was badly dented and damaged.
The delivery team installed the "new" cooker, acknowledged the damage and advised my tenants to contact Russell Hobbs to arrange either a replacement or compensation.
This is where the customer service experience became truly impressive.
Russell Hobbs informed me that because the damaged cooker had been installed, they would not replace it. Apparently, installation magically transforms a damaged appliance into an acceptable one. Neither my tenants nor I were told that allowing installation would waive our right to reject the item.
Their opening offer of compensation for a heavily damaged brand-new cooker? £25.
When I objected, explained the circumstances, and requested a replacement, they increased their offer to £40.
To summarise: a cooker fails under warranty, the replacement arrives damaged, and the solution offered by Russell Hobbs is roughly the equivalent of a takeaway and a bottle of wine.
The most disappointing aspect is not the faulty appliance. Products fail. It happens. The real issue is the complete lack of customer care once things go wrong.
Based on my experience, I would not buy another Russell Hobbs cooker, nor would I recommend one to anyone else.
I had a problem with my electric kettle…
I had a problem with my electric kettle six months from the end of the guarantee period and whilst they wanted a lot of detail they decided that it was faulty and sent me a new one.
Faulty Item will not be replaced
My iron takes over 20 minutes to heat up and leaks a large amount of water and steam upon first press - it is very clearly faulty. I've been in contact multiple times with the Russell Hobbs team via both phone and email to get it replaced, this unit was actually a replacement of another iron of the same model which malfunctioned after a few months of use (although I took extremely good care of it) and was unable to be used at all. I reported this new faulty iron nearly 2 weeks ago now, at first the team would not get in touch with me at all until I called them and asked what was going on - even though I provided them everything they need to switch this unit over. After that, I was promised timeframes over the phone to receive a response which were not at all honoured and am left with a growing pile of laundry as a result of the team not doing anything about this, apparently it's been “escalated” to the quality control team. I am extremely upset about this situation when there is a very clear fault with the unit - why do I need to wait for manager approval when I’ve sent them a video showing the clearly obvious fault? When I asked to speak to Management due to the excessive delays, I was told they are unavailable! It’s an awful situation they have left me in, I’ve already spent $100 to get someone to iron the backlog so I have clothes to wear for my corporate job - money down the drain. Two faulty items in a row and extremely poor customer service show the quality of this product as well as the business. Incredibly disappointing and frustrating.
Poor after sales service
Another Iron of Russell Hobbs broke still under warranty but what a waste of time to get it sent back pictures videos I just said no not plugging it in again now been told there technical guys could take a month beyond a joke very poor service
That is what I call customer service
I bought at glass kettle some 15 months ago and had no trouble with it until a few days ago when the switch split down the middle. I contacted RH's support, sent them a picture and they immediately offered to send a replacement. No arguments, no hassle and no attempt to deny responsibility. The new kettle arrived today for which I thank them. Three days from complaint to solution. That is what I call customer service.
I purchased a Russell Hobbs travel…
I purchased a Russell Hobbs travel kettle from Argos two weeks ago and I’m very disappointed with the quality. The bottom of the kettle became discoloured very quickly and there already appeared to be limescale building up around the sides after very little use. It has inherent Fault /issue after only two weeks.
I expected much better quality and durability from a well-known brand. Unfortunately, this product has been unreliable from the start and I would not recommend it
Bought a beautiful coffee making…
Bought a beautiful coffee making machine, which unfortunately developed a fault after a months use, bought via Amazon and the reaction and response to the issue was terrific.l am now completely satisfied and enjoying my coffee.customer service was par Exellent.
Dreadful cunstomer service avoid if you can!
Don't ever buy a kettle from russell hobbs. I bought a russell hobbs kettle via amazon, shortly after receiving the kettle it developed a fault where steam was escaping from around the lid, this meant that the kettle wouldn't switch off. After much agro Amazon eventually sent a replacement, but unfortunately the kettle developed the exact same fault, contacted russell hobbs, who initially were helpful but that soon stopped. I sent them a video of the fault, serial number of kettle and copy of the invoice. They kept saying they wanted more information, but what!! they wouldn't specify, eventually they sent me an email, saying they wanted a picture of inside the kettle and the video I had sent they couldn't open. It seems they are just trying to avoid fulfilling the warranty. Dreadful customer service avoid!
For the past two weeks
For the past two weeks, we've been trying to get a quote on the replacement part. RUSSEL HOBBS RHTT17M - 17KG - WASH TIMER - Replacement wash timer. The Russel Hobbs agents in Windhoek and Outjo, Namibia, are not interested in Customer Service. They just do not get back to us, they do not provide any feedback, and they are not interested to assist in any way. As customers, we have to phone over and over again for an update, only to be informed, that they do not get feedback from your agency in South Africa So, unfortunately Russell Hobbs does not have a good after sales service support in Namibia and undoubtful, Russel Hobbs as product will not be recommended in future.
Faulty product, slow response, and frustrating process
I purchased a Russell Hobbs small radiator in October 2024, which stopped working after just a few months of normal use (very limited, as I mainly rely on central heating). I reported the issue in October 2025, well within the 2-year warranty period; however, it took months to receive a response, and I had to chase them myself after initially being told they would get back to me. Instead of offering a repair or replacement, I was told that I would only receive a 50% refund. I find this disappointing, as a radiator should reasonably last much longer than a few months. While I understand that partial refunds can sometimes be offered, this does not feel proportionate given the short lifespan of the product and the fact it failed so early.
The returns process was also a bit of a hassle. I was asked to provide photos and videos of the fault, which was quite frustrating (especially as I was later required to return the item anyway!!). On top of that, their system would not accept files over 15MB, so I had to repeatedly reduce the video size just to be able to submit it. Then, a collection was arranged, but I had to find a suitable box myself to package the radiator.....
Overall, the product quality and after sales support have not met expectations. I would have expected a more customer focused resolution, and defnitely I won't be purchasing from Russell Hobbs again given the lack of accountability when a product becomes faulty.
Poor quality
I have a guest house and noticed that my Russell Hobbs toasters and irons only last a few months, even though they were not used daily. I am therefore done with them
I had a coffee machine that broke down…
I had a coffee machine that broke down they said it was out of warranty when i proved that it was not , they then said i needed till receipt from over 2 years ago. Despite thar i registered the product as soon as i brought it Would not use them again they con people very bad practice and i shall spread the word, looking at these reviews i am not alone
I thought Russell Hobbs was a reliable…
I thought Russell Hobbs was a reliable British brand. I was so wrong and from what I can see in these trustpilot reviews their product quality testing is not worth the paper it's written on.
I bought a mini freezer online from a third party (B&Q). I only did this because the online manual claimed the supplier and brand was Russell Hobbs. It is not Russell Hobbs at all. When I researched this I found that the freezer is made by a Chinese company called Product Care (who licence the brand name Russell Hobbs). The brand I bought (Abode) - which claimed to be Russell Hobbs - is a Product Care brand. The freezer looks cheap and makes a loud and disruptive clunk every 15 minutes.
I don't know if this is a correct use of the Russell Hobbs licenced brand name (I suspect not) but they don't seem to care about clearing this up and about brand reputation. I tried contacting them through Resolver and didn't get anywhere. I will avoid Russell Hobbs in future.
Kettle lasted 12 months
Purchased a kettle 1/3/25 today 1 year and 2 weeks after purchase kettle stopped working. I contacted Russell Hobbs as I had taken out extra 12 months guarantee but they wanted pictures of old fuse and new fuse. I supplied that then they wanted me to do a video of kettle not working pictures of inside of kettle to supply them with how often I descaled kettle and with what product. When I refused they told me that I could return the kettle at my expense for them to examine which would take 4 weeks. Needless to say I refused and have vowed I will never purchase another item from them. Not not buy any of their products as only last 12 months just past normal guarantee and a load of fuss to return item
4 slice toaster poor performance
Recently purchased a 4 slice toaster model number 26070
Really dissapointed with the performance so returned to store for a refund.
So underpowered that despite being on highest setting and the bread slice being thick. Still hardly browned and so slow .
