Katie Houston helped me a lot in retrieving a written record of account information about ownership and beneficiary status of my accounts, a feature that Newtek's online system does not offer. I want to share my experience as honestly as possible.
My SBA 7a loan process was originally supposed to be completed back in January, but unfortunately, it was severely delayed due to Michael Madison. I was repeatedly told that everything was “in the works,” when in reality, my documents had never even been submitted. I waited for months with little to no communication, which was incredibly frustrating and disruptive to my plans.
Things completely turned around when I connected with Jenny Milosevic. She was truly exceptional—professional, responsive, and proactive. Jenny quickly assessed the situation, reassured me, and connected me with the right team. Thanks to her efforts, my loan was approved in less than two weeks—something that hadn’t been accomplished in over three months prior.
Jenny introduced me to Beau Williamson, who handled the process flawlessly from the very beginning. He was organized, efficient, and always on top of things. I was also fortunate to work with Catherine Garcia, the closer, who was equally outstanding. She ensured every document was accurate and submitted on time, and maintained consistent communication via calls, texts, and emails to make sure I fully understood each step.

I have so far only the great expirience with NewTech Bank. Investing some money in this bank for a while and very satisfied with this bank. Better rates than other banks are offering for my needs, simple navigation thrue bank's webpage, great, knowlegable and friendly customer service reps (my latest great help was Ms. Ja'Kira), quick responce to the messages.

I've been banking with Newtek since Jan 2026. My experience with Newtek can be summed up with a few words, clunky, slow, and limiting. What first drew me to Newtek was its high APY HYSA with no requirements to fill and the least customer complaints, but I guess I fall to the complaint side. Why? 1) You only get only one external account to transfer to, where at other banks, I get way more linking. I work with many banks, so this is limiting. 2) I wanted to change my one external account to my primary bank. I had to wait till April to have "sufficient history" with Newtek. Fine, new customer limitations, I get it. I linked my banks to Newtek instead of waiting for the other way around. And finally, 3) clunky. Pulling funds from Newtek 4-5 days, longer than my other banks pulling funds from others banks. So as long as I don't need my money right away, and the APY stays competitive, I'll stay. But I'm already exploring other options in case I have another clunky experience.

I was trying to continue the process of signing up for a new account. I had stopped in the middle of the process and when I tried to continue today, it would not accept my login information. I have been trying for weeks to open an account for my husband as they offer the best CD rates. However the website was VERY difficult to navigate and his application was rejected multiple times for errors in the application. I finally got Rei Rhodes, an after hours support agent. She stayed with me through the entire process advising me what was considered primary and secondary ID, also a utility bill was needed to verify address. The website NEVER specified that. She was kind, patient and so knowledgeable, also showing me how to cancel an online transfer I needed to cancel. She is a real asset to Newtek bank. I just hope my husbands application is approved without further delay. Getting him to Newtek has been a very stressful process.
