Posted a pan, got no communication. Chased it up on email to no reply. Useless.

What a complete pain this has been, avoid this guy at all costs.

We sent three pans for tinning. He said they were ready and coincidentally we were in the area so called in to discover they weren't ready. He sent them to us a few weeks later

Unfortunately one wasn't ours, looking at the other review maybe it was theirs. We returned the incorrect pan and were told he had ours but it has never been returned. We've chased and chased and a friend who lives near to the workshop has tried to call in but has been unsuccessful.

So we have paid for the work and still have a pan missing.

Incorrect pan was sent back to me. Returned incorrect pan with promise mine would be returned. Have been emailing constantly but am being totally ignored. Tried to call but phone line disconnected. Hoping I haven’t lost my pan and the money I paid to restore. Will give it a few more days but then may have to take further action if they continue to ignore mu correspondence. Very upset as initially seemed like fantastic service.
17.08.25 - update: have now sent numerous emails, text messages and also a recorded/ signed for letter and still no response. Still without my pan which had some sentimental attachment but also I have lost fee paid to refurbish. Very, very upset. I have been scammed
04.09.25 still not had any response to any forms of contact. Have just been totally ghosted and web site states not accepting any new orders as diverting energies elsewhere. I get it sometimes life takes over but I just want my pan back. It is so stressful and I am so upset.

Received my re tinned copper pots back yesterday. My pots are over 30 years old and I have had them re tinned by Steve about every 5 years and what a marvelous job he does. Highly recommended, they take pride of place in my kitchen, beautiful, thank you.

I've used this guy a few times and can honestly say Steve is the best in the business if you've come to his website look no further I only hope he can make time for my pots and pans.

Received my sauté pan back today. Steve at Newlyn Tinning has made a brilliant job of it. Cleaned, revived and retinned to the highest quality and for a very fair price.
I would highly recommend their service.

Steve has kindly reconditioned a number of pans for me. What an absolute legend he is, a delight to deal with and the quality of his work is second to none. This type of artisanal work needs to be cherished and above all used as if not it will be lost for ever.

I rarely give a 5 on Trustpilot. Getting my 7 copper pans retinned had 3 contenders and Newlyn Tinning was the most comprehensive website - but who to trust with quite valuable merchandise, and quite far away so cannot check up on the business?

Steve has an arrangement with Parcelforce so can accept bulky deliveries after hours and gave me a turnaround in 3 days. Product Quality is attested on other reviews.

What upped this review to a 5 was that Steve gave me about £80 off the estimate, due to the minimal amount needed on 3 of the pans. How honest is that? I would go with Newlyns even if they were the most expensive, which they were not. And no VAT charged made all the difference. You would be crazy to use anybody else.

Yet another stunning example of Steve’s work on my two Windsor Pans and my Pommes Anna pot, sent back to me, refurbished, and looking like they’ve just been made. Splendid job and they will now see long service and be the envy of many!

Superbly done, and excellent service. The pan was polished as well - Indistinguishable from a new pan.

Steve re-tinned (and repaired and cleaned) my copper casserole pot. During the whole process we were in constant contact, and his customer care is excellent. When my pot came back i was amazed at how rejuvinated it was - like new. I will definitely use Newlynn tinning again.
