This is the second time I bought off this company. The first cake was gorgeous as was the second cake. Delivery was fantastic. Next day delivery available. Cakes lovely and fresh tasting . I absolutely love their icing. Not too sweet, just right. Easy to order and getting in touch just brilliant. The variety of cakes is amazing. If you want a cake for a special occasion then I highly recommend this company.

Fantastic tasting cakes, we will be ordering again for a 3rd time, we didn't want to share the cake with friends this year as it was soooooo nice, we had an American themed cake with a lamborghini hurricane on top as my twins are obsessed, the cake also looked as beautiful as it tasted

I ordered two cakes for a company 10 year anniversary, an event held in front of the whole company. The requirement was quite a basic design, really. And considering the creations that are shown on their website it should have been an absolute doddle.
Given the simplicity of the design, 2 cakes to stack on top of each other and some decoration on the outside to make it resemble a monopile – a round column structure – very similar to the shape of a cake. But it was apparently too difficult to make a stack, or paint on some lines or make some icing shapes to stick to the outside. As a business that designs cakes it should have been New Cakes that guided me, that suggested how the desired cake could be created, not me having to describe how to make two round cakes that stack and ask for a ladder either in icing or some other material. I even sent photos of monopiles and drew a shape to demonstrate. The alarm bells should have been ringing then, but the request was so uncomplicated, I was sure they would produce something good.
Then the price went up. Having been quoted £69.95 including delivery per cake, the price went up to £225!! I suggested £200. Even £200 was too much for what I received. I could have got these basic cakes from a shop nearby. I wish I had. The whole purpose of using New Cakes was to get some artistry. There were not even a few lines painted on to pretend to be a ladder. No detailing and no imagination.
Thirdly, the delivery. They use DHL. The event was taking place on the Monday, and the delivery was arranged for the Friday before. But even this proved too difficult.
Only one cake arrived on Friday and a message from DHL about the other cake not being delivered. How do you manage to deliver one part of 2? Despite multiple attempts to contact DHL, (which, should not have been down to me to chase) I couldn’t get to speak to anyone and I could not get hold of anyone at NewCakes.
DHL sent an email update on the Monday morning that the missing cake would arrive by 10.30 am. The second cake arrived at 13.10 in the afternoon when the event was long over .
Now, the cakes themselves. What a disappointment. The first cake was just basic sponge and cream and quite dry. Plainly iced, like it had been made by a machine. A single 3 letter word and number had been requested.
How do you manage to spell a 3 letter word wrong? !!! Especially with the long phone calls, the photos, the picture, the emails sent. There was literally no decoration at all! If I could post a photo here it would speak for itself.
We could not share the photos with others, as planned as the spelling mistake read, "DAM".
What an embarrassment!
Even worse. Not being able to get hold of Shay on the phone. I left messages and sent emails. Eventually I got an email reply that was apologetic and offered to give a partial refund. To date this refund has not been received, and I've heard no more from New Cakes.
Use this company at your peril. I'm pretty sure the photos on their site are fake. Unless you want them to ruin your event, don't touch them with a barge pole.

I ordered a custom cakefor my daughter's birthday due for delivery on Friday 28th November. On the friday morning a got a message from DHL saying there was a delay and cake would be delivered on Monday 1st December. I messaged New Cakes about cancelling but the pmanager i spoke said he would request DHL to deliver on saturday morning. Thankfully the delivery was in time for the party. The cake was tasty and my daughter also said she was very happy with her cake. Thanks New Cakes.

Shay is a godsend - absolutely impeccable customer care. I was having a studio 54 party and he spent hours with me, patiently working through my grand designs and even ordering cake disco balls to decorate it with. None of the other companies i spoke to would spend proper time to understand my vision.
The cake was the best I’ve ever eaten and the price was the most competitive!
A joy to work with shay and his lovely team. My friends have used him now for their bespoke needs (Star Wars meets disco and also African sunset).

Now im going to use shay for father in laws golf bday cake. Can deliver too which is helpful if in a rush!

Takes away the headache and actually makes the process enjoyable !

I recently ordered a Lego-themed cake for my son, and it was absolutely amazing! The design was incredible the attention to detail was spot on, and my son was over the moon when he saw it. Not only did it look fantastic, but it tasted delicious too. Every slice was fresh, moist, and full of flavour.

It also arrived perfectly packaged, with so much care taken to make sure it stayed in perfect condition during delivery. I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. Highly recommended!

We have ordered a number of cakes from here and always found the cakes to be amazing value for money. They are also able to create designs of almost anything... we had a scouts backpack and an electrican plug!!!!

What I requested is what I received and delivered perfectly even though it was delivered in bad weather, was still protected which I am impressed with. A definite buy again.

Thank you for ruining my son's birthday.My 6 year old son was in tears and heart broken. As cake was never delivered and you didn't bother to contact me to explain the situation.I tried calling the company ,send message nothing.They did not even bother to tell me cake would not be delivered or offer a solution.Party was on 8 November no communication from them whatsoever. It was heartbreaking to see my little boy in tears. Please Please Please. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EVER BY FROM THIS COMPANY

I have used New Cakes for over 8 years now for all my children’s birthday cakes and will continue to do so . They are always delivered on time and go above and beyond to help and sort any ideas you have that you would like put into a cake. They taste delicious and are a big hit in our Household! Amazing Cakes and am always amazed at how brilliant they look even better than the online pictures

New Cakes made my son’s 6th birthday cake and it was done to perfection. It was absolutely delicious and not a crumb was left!
