Travelled two hours after booking an appointment online even noting what car seats I’d like to look at as axkid seat require additional training, apparently. AFTER a phone call with an employee, They recommended these two seats so I even spoke to them before booking an appointment.
Booked to see two, said seats and try my toddler in them. On arrival, they told me I had to wait and give them some time… so we waited. 15-20mins. Then was told they didn’t have one of the seats I would like to look at so wasn’t sure why I was advised to come and view them. The other seat they said wasn’t suitable for my little one’s measurements (which I did also discuss these on the phone)
Tried to sell me something else that would only last me at maximum 2 years due to little one outgrowing. Was met with a new employee at the store who had no axkid training or any knowledge on axkid at all. Or barely much at all to be honest, I was googling weight and height limits on the seats myself. Felt quite sorry for individual as the team clearly weren’t helping . Said employee was running round like a headless chicken to help everyone.
Very very quick at replying on instagram for potential sale and custom. But ignore any problems or complaints. Absolute shambles of a business, 0 communication between eachother clearly, zero customer service skills. Don’t waste your time, especially if travelling.
Recommend W.H whatts pram centre in Stockton instead.

AVOID!!! Brought the item on 30th April, I’ve waited over a month and my baby has arrived without any update from this company. I have emailed and emailed with the same response of it’s due in this week, this has been for the past 4 weeks! Taken my money and no item I’m so upset. Aneesha has been unhelpful with her reply’s. I called the store and still no success, I’m now asking for a refund to buy elsewhere! I need the crib asap and with no timeline if I’ll ever recieve my item.

I ordered an item on 15 May. Payment was taken immediately with confirmation of delivery in 5-7 days. My account has been at item ordered since and now 21 May and my son’s birthday tomorrow that I was expecting it would arrive in time for.
Have tried all methods to try and get any form or customer service. No response to emails, enquiries on website, phone calls just go to an answerphone asking to ring back later. I have no idea if it is even a legit company. Money has been taken but have received no confirmation of anything and can’t find any way to get any form of customer service

Slow customer service. Delivery was stated as 5-7 working days but took longer than this, then when I finally received my parcel it was the incorrect item. Then when trying to resolve the problem, was told I could keep the incorrect item but pay more than it was listed for on their website….
Wouldn’t recommend. Still waiting for their response on when the incorrect item sent will be collected.

Other shops seemed to just have the pram companies they had deals with. This place had everything (even stuff we hadn’t seen before). Very helpful staff and a roomy store which helps for ‘test driving’. 10/10.

We visited the Crewe branch a couple of times before purchasing our twins pram.
Each time we have been in all of the staff have gone above and beyond to provide us with information/options for us to decide on.
All staff are friendly and approachable and products are brilliant value for money.

Aneesha was great at assisting with a replacement car seat after mine was faulty. Quick responses and actions made me happy to have shopped with them.

After visiting bigger baby stores we were completely overwhelmed with the selection of prams on offer and also the lack of help from other retailers when trying to make a decision (with lots of questions). This left us really deflated on what we hoped would be an exciting experience.

Being able to book an appointment with Newbie was super easy, the store is fantastic with everything you need, including a fab prams track to try your prams out on, but more importantly the team are so attentive and knowledgable that we easily made a decision there and then. Meg was fantastic, listened to what our key concerns/wants were. She took the list of prams we wanted to look at on board and based on what we told her, narrowed it down to two, both of which had everything (and more!) that we’d mentioned. There was no pressure to purchase there and then, no time constraints on messing about with the travel systems. It made it a really enjoyable and exciting experience! Would definitely recommend.

Visited the Crewe store, booked an appointment for the Silvercross Event they had on. We were looked after by Megan, her knowledge was amazing, she gave us plenty of options based on budget and what we explained were our priorities. Megan was so lovely, we came out saying how amazing of an experience it was. Would definitely recommend, I see lots of negative reviews on here and can see it’s mainly down to ‘Next day delivery’ I am so glad I wasn’t put off by those and I would highly recommend others try Newbie and Me for themselves rather than reading into those reviews. It felt a very personal experience for us and we were happy to be buying from a smaller business rather than a ‘John Lewis’. Thank you!

I recently visited the newbie and me store in Crewe with no real idea on where to start with looking for a travel system, all of the girls in there were super friendly and helpful! They showed us through a few types and the pros and advantages of them and made our decision a lot easier! And being great and not rushing when the big decision of picking the colour came🙈 Really helped a first time mum with no idea!

Went here to have a scan at the place above, ended up having a nosey around the store and bought our pram! Staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble! Even when I couldn’t figure out how to put the pram down even though they just showed me 🙄
